Seeing as no one has made an analysis - correct me if I'm wrong - Scizor's analysis, though probably poorly constructed, is below.

Reversaler is a great option on Scizor, being resistant to Sandstorm, a sky-high attack stat and decent defences. Low speed is what hinders Scizor and Salac Berry is here to fix that. Of course there is either Endure or Substitute down to 1 HP, Substitute being more reliable but Endure for efficiency. Swords Dance is if you can pack it in, but Scizor can pretty much do efficient damage without it. Salac Berry brings Scizor to 377 speed, outspeeding Timid Starmie. The last slot is where versatility beings. Either Baton Pass to a counter if a ghost/resister comes in, or Shadow Claw / Night Slash to hit the incoming ghost. X-Scissor for just some big damage with STAB and Swarm.

Same as before except it outspeeds more stuff. When played correctly, it outspeed Adamant Choice Scarf Garchomp after Agility, Scizor's speed at 458. Same theory as above with two major game-of-play changes. First, Agility is an absolute must this time, not like Swords Dance which was optional. Secondly, Substitute is preferred over Endure because the speed boost affords Scizor to sub down and block statuses. Last slot same as usual.

Hopefully you bring in Scizor against something that would switch, and then start stat-boosting. First, decide the item to be used. Leftovers if you want to reuse him, in which case X-Scissor over Substitute. Focus Sash to give Scizor an oppurtunity to stat-boost twice before BPing out. Salac Berry and Liechi Berry is paired with Substitute to give a further boost and for overall reliability. Bear in mind that with the last three options, Scizor cannot be reused.
Another option would be a Choice Scarf set, but with so many other offensive threats, Scizor ultimately does not make a great all-out physical sweeper.
