ORAS OU Scolipede win-con (1715)

So I always felt like Scolipede was a huge threat that was being slept on by most.
This team is built around setting up a Scolipede win condition, and it peaked at 1715 on the ladder before I started to break even in wins/losses.

Scolipede @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Poison Jab
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

The win-con that I set up is that Scolipede can come in, set up a SD in anyones face because of his sash, and then OHKO his way to victory.

Adamant Megahorn hurts, a lot. And if it doesn't OHKO you then it will get pretty darn close.
Poison Jab can punish any fairy who dares to stand in your way.
Earthquake nabs a lot of KOs that the STABS miss out on. Mega-man, Heatran, Exca, Raikou, etc.
And Swords Dance ties it all together: He can set up in anyones face, and then punish people at +2 Atk and continually boosting speed.
magnezone.gif

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch

Scolipedes number one partner in crime, Magnezone does the standard magnezone thing.
He comes in and traps and kills all the things that would otherwise wall Scolipede.
Scizor, Ferrothorn, Skarmory.
Also, dropping flash cannons on fairys and t-bolts on bulky waters/flyings is pretty great too.
lopunny-mega.gif

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch

After getting the problem pokemon out of the way, there is still the fact that Scolipede doesn't OHKO everything even after +2. So what Lopunny does is come in and just basically beat the other team up. Soften up all the walls so later Scolipede can come in and sweep. Lopunny is great at softening up guys like Lando-t, Hippo, etc. Just enough so that Scolipede can take them out later on.
landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Lando-t glues up the team pretty nicely. I considered Bulky SR, but the scarf just fits better. He forces a lot of switches and allows me to get in good positions with my team. He also does a good job of softening people up like Lopunny, and the u-turn momentum synchs well with Magnezone.
espeon.gif

Espeon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Dazzling Gleam
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick

Espeon is great on this team. I often volt-turn into Espeon and bounce the hazards back, or bounce statuses back. Specs hits hard, and trick comes in handy every so often when someone like Chansey or Clef wanna come in and try and bully Espeon out. Dazzling gleam is good because it smacks the dark types that otherwise switch in for free, 2hkoing even Bisharp. HP ice is perfect because it gets 4x SE against many of the problem pokemon of this team (Gliscor, Lando, Garchomp).
blastoise.gif

Blastoise @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Protect

Blastoise's job is basically to be a big fatty and come in, clear hazards for scolipede, and force physical attackers out in fear of scald. He has a simple job but he does it well.

So yea tell me what you think. thanks for looking

Hello.
Your descriptions are too short to fit the RMT rules requirements.
I encourage you to PM me an updated version of this team with beefed up descriptions, and if you're new to this, join the Mentor Program. I'll be unlocking this thread after that.

Have a nice day.
