Screamos kickass

Shitty Opening: Alright well I've been in a horrible slump lately and everyone knows that. This is my latest team that has gone through a few stages. Originally it started out with a few random Pokemon put together with no real synergy and eventually it came to this. This is probably one of my only "good" teams since "The A Team". There is still alot to be done to it however so...yeah get on with it.

Celebi@Occa Berry
Timid
Natural Cure
252SpA / 252Spe / 4Def
Stealth Rock
Leaf Storm
Earth Power
Hidden Power [Ice]

Introduction: Recently I was the Grass Gym Leader at the Official Serebii League and to be honest I didn't like it. A few people know from me ranting on about how bad of a type it is on several chats. However, while there I realized how amazing a Celebi Lead is. It can take on many of the top leads used today easily and occasionally even come back later one to take a hit, status, or take out a Pokemon.

Moveset Explanation: The moveset is simple enough. Stealth Rock is there for obvious reason. Leaf Storm is a great STAB move for Celebi. It can OHKO Swampert, Hippowdon, non Sash Azelf, and more. Earth power is there for Metagross and Heatran leads and Hidden Power [Ice] OHKOs most Dragonite leads, Gliscor, Salamence, 2hkos Aero (Meaning no sacrificial Special Attack drops) and scores some other obvious KOs.

Why Celebi: When making the team I originally had an Infernape lead but it just didn't seem to fit well enough. So I eventually switched over to Celebi. It can handle every top lead used today whether it be taking them out or damaging them to the point where any other one of my pokes can take them down. Simple choice is simple.

Against commonly used leads (Stolen from The Smog)
482.png
- Leaf Storm twice in a row for the kill and then go from there. They are most likely to just taunt then SR so..yeah

142.png
- HP Ice for the 1uick 2HKO then go from there

260.png
- Leaf Storm. There hasn't been on person who hasn't stayed in because they expect SR.

376.png
- Earth Power for the 2HKO

385.png
- This thing can be annoying. If it Iron Heads I'll switch to Heatran and sub up but I usually just Earth Power expecting a Scarf or something and if they SR then I SR on the switch.

392.png
- Earth Power to at least break sash. If they SR first turn I SR the next and revenge with Scizor if they attack first turn then I have to try and predict a bit. Can be annoying.

068.png
- SR First turn so Payback can't OHKO then Leaf Storm and have anyone on my team kill it.

407.png
- ughhhh this thing's a total bitch to both Celebi and my team. I just HP Ice twice if Sleep Powder misses for the kill or if it hits then I keep it in as they will normally Sleep Powder again and then switch to kill. Toxic Spikes is a bitch to my team.

248.png
- SR then Leaf Storm so Payback doesn't kill turn 1

472.png
- They never switch because they know Leaf Storm won't kill so I HP Ice for the OHKO

485.png
- Earth Power. I always win if they attack first or not. If they don't attack turn 1 then I SR expecting the switch.

Scizor@Life Orb
Adamant
Technician
176Hp / 100Atk / 232SpD
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Pursuit
Roost

Introduction: Scizor plays more of a specially defensive role more then anything. It helps against LO Starmie and Gengar the most. This is also one of the things that stops DD Mence from sweeping my team. Scizor has become a staple to my teams mainly because I'm horrified of DD Mence and whether people know of it or not I know how to make it work. This set was chosen over the standard 248HP / 252Atk spread because I prefer to have it to be Specially Defensive with the large amount of Special Attackers it needs to be able to handle. Favorite Scizor set to day

Move Explanation: Standard is standard I suppose. Bullet Punch works well with STAB and Technician and is the only reason Scizor is used as much as it is today. U-Turn helps against Cresselia and other random pokemon as well as for Scouting. Pursuit stops Starmie and Gengar from getting away. Roost was chosen over Superpower because of Life Orb and the abundance of entry hazards.

Why Scizor: Scizor was chosen at first because, as mentioned, I'm scared to death of DD Mence. I've never been able to handle it probably because I suck. After play testing I realized, however, it can do much more in the lines of Special Walling and that's why Scizor is still here

245_30_1.png

Suicune@Leftovers
Timid
Pressure
4HP / 252SpA / 252Spe
Calm Mind
Surf
Ice Beam
Hidden Power [Electric]
Introduction: Just...wow. I've played this set so often and I've never had trouble with it so I always assumed it was a pretty bad set. I was wrong. Offensive cune, when played correctly, can be a monster. It helps check threats such as Gyarados and get's a good sweep. With Latias out of the way (Since almost everyone goes by Smogon Tiers) it can sweep much easier. I am looking for a better spread though since alot of times I just don't find it bulky enough.

Move Explanation: Standard offensive cune. Calm Mind helps set up a sweep and wall and stuff. Surf is for STAB. Ice Beam gets perfect coverage along Surf besides Waters and helps against Grass Types such as Shaymin and Celebi. Hidden Power Electric stops said Electrics who wall the Ice / Liquid combination and stops Vaporeon from walling me and OHKO's Gyarados. A jack of trades if you will.

Why Suicune: Suicune was one of the last members to be added to be honest. It started out as a test for Offensive Cune since I've never used it before and now it seems it works great with my team. It provides great synergy with CeleTran giving me the Water/Grass/Fire combination.

Flygon@Choice Scarf
Jolly
Levitate
252Atk / 252Spe / 4HP
Earthquake
Outrage
U-Turn
Stone Edge / Thunderpunch

Introduction: Shiny Flygon is so sexy ;D Flygon aids in the fight against LO Jolteon and Raikou who would otherwise put a dent in this team. Flygon was one of the first members here as it has been a staple on this team from the beginning.

Moveset Explanation: Dual STAB ftw. U-Turn has been the reason to use Flygon from the beginning. The last option is...odd. Stone Edge is the usual thing that goes on however Gyarados can still prove to be a threat to this team and as such Thunderpunch has been tested and has succeeded numerous times. The only time I hate using it is when I send it on a Salamence and I have to risk Outrage which sucks.

Why Flygon: As stated it is the revenge killer. Flygon is by far one of the best, if not the best, revenge killers in the metagame. Capable of stopping numerous threats with it's incredible Dual STAB and wide movepool. Bitches don't know Flygon better shut up.

485_20_1.png

Heatran@Leftovers
Timid
Flash Fire
252SpA / 252Spe / 4SpD
Will-O-Wisp
Flamethrower
Earth Power
Substitute
Introduction: Originally I had Shuca Tran here since I hate Earthquake and it still raped Mence and friends. However I looked through The Smog and noticed this set and was like "I'll do it" so I am and it's proved to be worth it.

Move Explanation: Will-O-Wisp was the reason I was attracted to this set. It cripples Mence and Gyarados who think they can walk all over me and then they cry because there all like "Oh no I es burned". Helps weaken Pert and fellow walls as well. Flamethrower for STAB and junk. Earth Power is my main option for waters and Tyranitar and stuff like that. Substitute is for possible sweeping and stalling. Am considering Toxic over WoW since water types are still annoying to me.

Why Heatran: Scizor and Jirachi. Nuff said

248_20_1.png

Tyranitar@Choice Scarf
Jolly
Sand Stream
252Atk / 252Spe / 4HP
Stone Edge
Crunch
Pursuit
Superpower

Introduction: Tyranitar was the last member chosen for the team. Why was it chosen? Couldn't tell you. It was decided to be on my team around 3Am so I don't remember much but even so it's been fairly useful to me. Helps check LO Starmie and fellow buddies but you'll learn more later. This is the poke I'm most wanting to change so thoughts?

Move Explanation: Standard scarftar is standard.Stone Edge nails MixMence in the ass ;) which is super kewl. Crunch and Pursuit work well together putting Psychic and Ghost types in check mate and Superpower is for Lucario and co. Standard is standard

Why Tyranitar: It was put here, I'm guessing, because of a weakness to LO Starmie. It helps with mixMence and can do some late game sweeping. That's about it everything else is pretty well covered.

Major Threats
575_2_0.png
CroCune is such a bitch. The only things that can stop it are Offensive Cune and Celebi and with no recovery and CroCune normally being sent in later on it can be a total bitch. I originally had Scarf Rotom-W over ScarfTar for this but it never really worked well with anything else and ScarfTar had proven more effective.

843_2_0.png
Shaymin is a pain. It's not as bad as CroCune but it just gets annoying

Fun Thought
Could you see how lazy I got near the end of the RMT?

Weak points in the team:
Scarftar is the weak link and I am considering ScarfTom over Scarftar to help with CroCune. Thoughts?

hey this is my first time Rating a team so here i go....The first thing I notice is that Once Celibi has used Leaf storm once She becomes set up bait for SD Scizor and Sub Beam Rotom. I would suggest this lead instead.

UXIE
nature-Jolly
EV's 252 Hp 216 Spe 36 Def
Item Light Clay
Moves- Light Screen, Reflect, Stealth Rocks, U-turn
The EV's are used for as followed
1. Max HP helps with Uxies Tanking Ability
2. The Spe allows Uxie to Out spead all base 90's
3. The Def helps with tanking
With this Uxie you won't have to worry as much about DD salamence and Life orb starmie as the Screens allow your entire team to take hits on both sides of the spectrum. The next thing i noticed is that Choice scarfed infernape will 2 hit KO or OHKO your entire team With CLose Combat bar Celebi. I would Suggest Using The Defensive Rotom-C Set over Your scarf Tar. Set coutesy of Smogon.
Defensive

Leftovers Bold MovesetEVs~ Thunderbolt / Discharge
~ Shadow Ball
~ Will-O-Wisp
~ Leaf Storm / Hidden Power Fighting / Hidden Power Ice
252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe
This set will allow you to beat LO Starmie as it won't stay in for a Thunder bolt and This set absoulutly rapes slow Physical sweepers with WoW. This Rotom will also allow you to OHKO Swampert as after your Celebi is KO'd your team becomes swampert weak oh btw Infernape can't beat this set unless it has Nasty Plotted or has Choice Specs...and Choice Specs is very uncommon.
As for Heatran I sould suggest this set for him...I find it more effective and devestating for your oppenent.

Heatran
Nature-Modest
Item-Shuca Berry
EV's 252SpA, 220Spe, 32Hp
Moves- Magma Storm, HP(grass), Explosion, Dragon Pulse/Eath Power
Ev's For as follows
1. Max SpA to hit as hard as possible
2. 220 Spe outruns Max speed base 75's
3. 32 Hp provides a little bulk
This Heatran allows you to trap his counters Via Magma Storm and then KO them with the appropriate move DD Salamence can't KO because of Shuca Berry same with Swampert, and Metagross. While Heatran will KO all of them with the Apropriate move.
I hope I helped with the Team building other than the few things this team looks good.
p.s If you decide to keep the team the way it is FLygon Out speeds Salamence even after he has used DD once.

Hi, nice team. For a bulkier ev spread, try 172hp/112spa/224 spe(courtesey of Smogon). This should allow you to better handle Salamence and others. As for Heatran, try a pasho berry set, allowing you to survive and opt for a finishing explosion. It also helps handle Starmie. If you hate Salamence and Gyrados so much, try Porygon2. If you think you have it covered, I suggest replacing Tyranitar with a Scarf Rotom like the others suggested OR Cb Snorlax. Seeing as Rotom has been explained, I will explain Snorlax. It has the natural bulk to come in on Starmie and pursuit trap it. Along with that, it cna use self-destruct to clear the way and hurt bulky waters like CroCune. Thick fat allows you to hide Suicune for late game and allow Snorlax to come in on the likely bulky water that is trying to ice beam Flygon.

Hello Rezon,

Nicely formatted rmt looks pretty clear and good descriptions for each pokemon of your choice. This is hands down a solid team and there isn't much to say beside that the fact that sleep talk rotom-A with willow-wisp and tbolt could wreck this team.

For example if you bring in tyranitar you have a 50/50 chance if you crunch of pursuit. If you predict them to switch out and they burn you there goes mence. So your only real way of handling rotom is switching in heatran for flash fire but rest talk rotom does take advance of 2/3 of your team.

Another weakness for this team is crocune just like you state. Other than celebi and suicune you have no water resist as well as no phazer or tricker. Without having a phazer or a choice trick pokemon crocune can easily set up on you for a clean sweep without you having anything to stop it. For example it only takes suicune one calm mind to sweep your team because you would initially switch in celebi and a smart crocune user would rest and after the -2 spA. Suicune would easily be able to sleep talk a few more calm minds and be able to sweep scizor / flygon / heatran / tyranitar easily.

For that I would suggest you use trick scarf starmie over your offensive suicune for only one reason and that is you lack a trick pokemon on your team. It also helps fight off your biggest threat crocune.

Starmie@Choice Scarf
4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Speed : Timid
Trick / Hydro Pump / Ice Beam / Tbolt

Good Luck with your team Rezon!

Hey Rezon,

This is a rather solid team as Scim said, but Semi and Full Stall enjoy battling this team. Four to five of your team members are setup fodder for entry hazards, and after those are set you can say "gg".

My first suggestion is minimizing your scarfers. Flygon is good to keep as your primary scarfer b/c it checks so many threats in one. But scarfed Tyranitar isn't needed on this team. Instead, lets make him a Mixed Sweeper, looks like Tyranitar@ Expert Belt | 48 Atk / 252 SpA / 208 Spe | Dark Pulse / Superpower / Ice Beam / Flamethrower OR Fire Blast. This set will be close to ending stall problems for you, and rips holes in offensive teams. It takes on Blissey, Forretress, Skarmory, Hippowdon, Gliscor, Rotom-A, Scizor, Breloom, not to name others.

Now, I want to recommend changing Suicune for LOStarmie b/c it provides the necessary speed lost by Tyranitar. The set is the following: Starmie@ Life Orb | Timid Nature | 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe | Surf / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt / Rapid Spin OR Recover. Starmie will be revenging all those fast pokemon like Gengar, Infernape, Salamence, etc. Not only does it sweep frail teams, but gives you a way to play mind games with stall.

For Scizor, I would give it a Choice Band, just b/c CS Flygon+CB Scizor is so powerful. It also provides that needed power that your current Scizor lacks. A good set is Scizor@ Choice Band | 168 HP / 176 Atk / 160 SpD / 4 Spe | Bullet Punch / Superpower / Pursuit / U-turn. This EV spread provides some more SpD cushion than the standard, while only losing 10% in power if I recall.

Now for the nitpicks, give Flygon Thunderpunch for sure to revenge Gyarados. Another one is considering Lava Plume over Flamethrower on Heatran, and giving it Explosion over Will-O-Wisp. Explosion behind a subbed, lefties Heatran is one of the most unexpected things you could imagine. It also provides a last resort for annoying pokemon like Crocune and Blissey. If you do switch, use a Naive Nature and move the 4 SpD evs to Atk.

Hope this helps dude, and good luck!
