With Swords Dance Gliscor excels at breaking against slower paced teams that have difficulty getting rid of it quickly. With Poison Heal and Toxic Orb Gliscor is able to recover significant amounts of HP while also avoiding omnipresent burn and paralysis from foes like Jirachi, Rotom-W, and Scald users. This allows Gliscor to safely setup a Swords Dance where many other pokemon would end up statused, or risking the chance of becoming statused to setup. Protect allows you to safely activate Toxic Orb as well as recover extra health when necessary, as well as scout common choice-locked foes like Latios, Keldeo and Landorus-T. Earthquake is the best STAB option Gliscor has hitting meta staples like Tyranitar and excadrill supereffectively. Facade is easily the best secondary move choice as when boosted by the status Gliscor almost always has it hits almost any foe that resist Earthquake for neutral damage which makes it a great complement to Earthquake. Ice Fang is another useful coverage option, while losing damage compared to Facade on foes only hit for supereffective. This allows Gliscor to more effectively check Pokemon quadruple weak to Ice, such as Dragonite and Garchomp. Landorus-T and opposing Swords Dance Gliscor are often tasked with checking Swords Dance Gliscor as well, allowing a boosted Ice Fang to push through them more quickly.

Set Details
========
Maximum HP and Special Defense investment allows Gliscor to take 2 Hidden Power Ice from Landorus-T with Protect as well as a host of other threatening special attacks like Choice Specs Latios Draco Meteor, or non Life Orb Alakazam Hidden Power Ice. 56 Speed is an option to outspeed neutral nature Breloom and have an advantage vs opposing Gliscor.

Team Options
========
Swords Dance Gliscor makes its home on more defensive structures with teammates that can remove the many annoyances stopping it from claiming KO's. Magnezone is the most common partner able to trap Skarmory which counters Gliscor, as well as impeding Politoed's Drizzle and boosted Scald with Sunny Day. Tyranitar is a natural partner for Gliscor with Sand Stream applying extra chip on foes, which is further increased by Gliscor's own use of Protect. Additionally Tyranitar handles annoying Psychic-types like Alakazam or Reuniclus which can commonly run Hidden Power Ice. Hippowdown is the other Sand Stream user and can be a useful partner for Gliscor and plays a much longer game than Tyranitar with access to Slack Off. It also offers nice role compression by running Stealth Rock, as well as using Whirlwind to wear down foes and stop opposing sweepers, but notably offers less defensive utility especially vs foes like Alakazam. Rotom-W is a teammate which helps check opposing water types like Keldeo, Starmie, and opposing Rotom-W which can easily remove Gliscor even with maximum Special Defense investment. It also helps check Landorus-T and Skarmory which are some of the most annoying foes for Gliscor to deal with. Gastrodon and Seismitoad provide helpful immunities to Water and take on Electric-types much better thanks to their neutrality to Hidden Power Ice, which Gliscor appreciates against Thundurus-T and especially Rotom-W. Seismitoed provides helpful support with moves like Stealth Rock and Knock Off, while Gastrodon has better longevity with its access to recover and can status foes more reliably with Toxic. Finally cleaners like Alakazam or Choice Scarf Excadrill take advantage of teams weakened by Gliscor, Sandstorm, and other residual damage in order to close out the game.

With Swords Dance Gliscor excels at breaking has the ability to be a threatening breaker against slower paced teams that have difficulty getting rid of it quickly, along with Poison Heal an Toxic Orb allowing it to avoid many of the usual pitfalls of physical breakers like Wil-o-Wisp or Scald burns. This is thanks to its iconic ability, Poison Heal, while allows it to passively heal large amounts while avoiding the omnipresent Burn and Paralysis spread by Pokemon such as Latios, Rotom-W, and many Scalds. Thanks to the aforementioned passive healing, effective immunity to status, and great natural bulk and typing, Gliscor has no problem finding opportunities to Swords Dance in front of the many weaker Pokemon of the tier such as Ferrothorn, Celebi, and Clefable, just to name a few. Protect allows you to safely activate Toxic Orb as well as recover extra health when necessary. It also has the ability to scout attempts to target it with Choice-boosted attacks, such as Choice Specs Hydro Pump from Keldeo, or Trick from the likes of Latios. Earthquake is the best STAB option Gliscor has and provides useful supereffective hits on staple physical attackers Excadrill and Terrakion. This immediately powerful hit on several notable Pokemon allows Gliscor to use its amazing defensive profile to check Pokemon before it is in position to Swords Dance and Sweep., and Since Gliscor is always poisoned, Facade receives doubled power and allows you to hit almost any foe immune to Earthquake for significant damage after a Swords Dance. Facade is particularly important in order to hit Rotom-W, which walls out any Gliscor lacking it, but the powerful neutral coverage allows Gliscor to beat down many other checks such as Landorus-T, Thundurus-T, and Latios. Ice Fang provides superior damage against very common checks such as the aforementioned Landorus-T, Dragonite, and opposing Gliscor, but this should only be considered alongside extremely reliable checks to Rotom-Wash such as Gastrodon or Seismitoad, as well as a way to reliably status it. Ice Fang can provide more immediate damge vs foes liek Landorus-T and opposing Gliscor but you lose out on a lot of damage vs foes not weak to Ice-type moves so it is a situational pick for sure.

244 HP and 252 SpD Maximum investment into HP and Special Defense allows Gliscor to take 2 Hidden Power Ice from Landorus-T with Protect as well as a host of other threatening special attacks like Choice Specs Latios Draco Meteor, or non Life Orb Alakazam Hidden Power Ice. 56 Speed alongside Ice Fang is an option in order to outspeed neutral natured Breloom and get the jump on opposing Gliscor, but this is a significant cut to Gliscor's special bulk. An alternative spread of 148 HP / 132 Atk / 228 Speed can outspeed and 2HKO Landorus-T at +1 attack after Stealth Rock damage.

Swords Dance Gliscor makes its home on more defensive balanced structures with teammates that can remove the many annoyances stopping it from claiming KO's. Magnezone is a solid partner able to trap Skarmory which counters Gliscor. Tyranitar is an excellent partner thanks to its Sand Stream applying constant residual damage, further accentuated by Gliscor's penchant to spam Protect. Its ability to trap Psychic-types such as Reuniclus and Alakazam is very much appreciated by Gliscor. Opposing Reuniclus are capable of setting up winning positions first in drawn out games, potentially overpowering a weakened Gliscor with enough Calm Mind boosts or even Hidden Power Ice. Alakazam is another late game cleaner which can push through Gliscor's partners and similarly threatens it with Hidden Power Ice. Hippowdon shades Tyranitar's ability, but notably works best at a slower pace that Gliscor excels at, gradually wearing down the opponent, using Whirlwind to disrupt sweepers trying to overpower Gliscor, and reliably setting Stealth Rock for it. Tyranitar both sets sand for etra chip on foes as well as handling annoying Psychic-types like Alakazam or Reuniclus which can commonly run Hidden Power Ice. Rotom-W is a teammate which helps check annoying water types like Keldeo, Starmie, and opposing Rotom-W, as well as checking Landorus-T, and wearing down foes with burns from Wil-o-Wisp. Gastrodon and Seismitoad are two of the hardest answers to Rotom-Wash, opening Gliscor up to the superior coverage of Ice Fang, while providing their own brand of utility. Gastrodon has incredible longevity and reliably spreads Toxic and burns from Scald all across the opposing team, synergizing with Gliscor's heavy usage of Protect and weakening the opposition to facilitate Gliscor's inevitable sweep. Seismitoad doesn't share Gastrodon's longevity, but can pack Knock Off to further cripple opponents or run the all-important Stealth Rock. Teammates like Gastrodon or Seismitoad provide Stealth Rock without adding extra water weaknesses which can quickly become an issue on these types of teams. Was not aware Gastrodon got stealth rock. Finally cleaners like Alakazam or Choice Scarf Excadrill that can take advantage of the damage Gliscor outputs allow you to take advantage of all of the work put into the team to enable Gliscor.
