Swords Dance Hisuian Samurott is a very threatening wallbreaker that provides invaluable utility to its team with the Spikes laid by Ceaseless Edge. Black Glasses boosts Hisuian Samurott's Ceaseless Edge and Sucker Punch to further heights, allowing it to have an easier time breaking through foes such as Toxapex, Alomomola, and Ferrothorn with the former while also giving it an easier time dispatching of revenge killers like Kartana and Iron Moth with the latter. Protective Pads lets Hisuian Samurott avoid contact effects from Ferrothorn, Zapdos, and Moltres which could otherwise stop or significantly hinder its ability to wallbreak. Tera Dark further amplifies the power of Hisuian Samurott's Dark-type STAB attacks, allowing it to OHKO targets like Mega Medicham with Sucker Punch without Black Glasses while dealing massive damage to defensive cores which could otherwise shrug off Ceaseless Edge even while boosted, such as Zapdos and Skarmory. Alternatively, Tera Poison provides a useful defensive typing that can turn the tables on foes such as Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant, as well as deny Toxic from Alomomola and turn it into setup fodder. Offensive teams that appreciate Hisuian Samurott's ability to punch holes in opposing defensive structures while laying Spikes to help them break such as Kartana, Mega Diancie, and Tapu Lele make for good teammates. Defensive teams featuring Dondozo have no trouble with taking boosted Ceaseless Edge, so Tapu Koko and Ferrothorn are good teammates to help with this weakness. These two also assist with ensuring Alomomola and Toxapex are no problem for Hisuian Samurott, since they can otherwise threaten with a potential Toxic or Scald. Additionally, opposing offensive teams can make it hard for Hisuian Samurott to find its footing due to its middling Speed stat, so Mega Lopunny and Mega Medicham can assist in these matchups while appreciating the Spikes set versus more balanced styles. Teammates who effectively use Knock Off such as Tornadus-T, Weavile, and Ferrothorn are great teammates as they can remove Heavy-Duty Boots from foes like Toxapex, making them more susceptible to the Spikes set by Hisuian Samurott's Ceaseless Edge.

Swords Dance Hisuian Samurott is a very threatening wallbreaker that provides invaluable utility to its team with the Spikes laid by Ceaseless Edge. Black Glasses boost Hisuian Samurott's Ceaseless Edge and Sucker Punch to incredible heights 1.2x isnt THAT much, might be a bit misleading, allowing it to have an easier time breaking through foes such as Toxapex, Alomomola, and Ferrothorn while also giving it an easier time dispatching of revenge killers like Kartana and Iron Moth with Sucker Punch specify. Protective Pads lets Hisuian Samurott avoid contact effects from Ferrothorn, Zapdos, and Moltres which could otherwise stop or significantly hinder its ability to function wallbreak it can technically still "function" by setting hazards even when burned or para'd. also specify how pads makes cEdge super spammable by removing fear of contact Tera Dark further amplifies the power of Hisuian Samurott's Dark STAB, being able to OHKO targets Mega Medicham with Sucker Punch try and specify that this calc is +2 w/o glasses cos +2 with glasses blows up mmedi without tera while dealing massive holes to defensive cores examples? when i looked around most stuff either get nuked at +2 or tank either way, need examples to prove this which could otherwise shrug off Ceaseless Edge even while boosted. Alternatively, Tera Poison provides a useful defensive typing that can turn the tables on foes such as Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant, while denying Toxic from Alomomola turning it into setup fodder. Offensive teams that appreciate Hisuian Samurott's ability to punch holes in opposing defensive structures while laying Spikes to help them breaking such as Kartana, Mega Diancie, and Tapu Lele make for good teammates. Defensive teams featuring Dondozo have no trouble with taking boosted Ceaseless Edge, so Tapu Koko and Ferrothorn are good teammates to help with this weakness. could expand on this line to talk about other waters asw like mola or pex, even tho hamurott beats them 1v1 it takes several turns which is enough for them to burn/toxic and koko/ferro are insurance for them Additionally, opposing offensive teams can make it hard for Hisuian Samurott to find its footing due to its unimpressive Speed tier or something along these lines, so Mega Lopunny and Mega Medicham can assist in these matchups while appreciating the Spikes set versus more balanced styles. could give a mention to teammates with knock off to remove opposing boots benefitting hamu spikes
