Ogerpon-C functions as an excellent setup sweeper and wallbreaker in UU, as there are few answers to it after a Swords Dance. With Trailblaze, Ogerpon-C can outspeed Greninja and Tornadus-T, as well as potential Choice Scarf Pokemon like Galarian Zapdos, which gives it an easier time sweeping. Alternatively, Horn Leech allows Ogerpon-C to regain health over the course of the match and potentially allow it to get Sturdy back after entry hazard chip damage. After a Swords Dance, Superpower OHKOes Cobalion and has favorable odds to OHKO Tinkaton after Spikes. Tera Rock gives Ogerpon-C extra power on Ivy Cudgel, and the combination of losing its Grass typing and gaining a Defense boost allows it to better shrug off revenge killing attempts from Lokix, Conkeldurr, and Metagross. However, Ogerpon-C becomes vulnerable to Greninja, which can more easily revenge kill Tera Rock Ogerpon-C with Water Shuriken.
Ogerpon-C best fits on hyper offense teams as a late game sweeper that can win games if the opponent's team is sufficiently weakened, as well as a wallbreaker that can set up endgames for other wincons. Grimmsnarl can provide dual screens support, which can make setting up Swords Dance even easier. Revaroom is also a fantastic partner, helping to put on immense pressure on the opponent's team and weaken shared checks such as Skarmory. Entry hazard setters such as Sandy Shocks are vital in wearing down Ogerpon-C checks such as Cobalion and Tinkaton. Thundurus-T forms a fantastic partnership with Ogerpon-C, with the two being able to greatly pressure the opposing team and enable each other to sweep by wearing down shared checks such as Tinkaton and Hydrapple. Hazard prevention, such as Taunt on Grimmsnarl, and hazard removal, such as lead Excadrill and Donphan, are greatly appreciated, as they allow Ogerpon-C to hit the field without having its Sturdy broken.
