Intro: After taking a break from the uber tier I decided to return, but instead of sticking with my Ho-oh team I wanted to try something new, I wanted to use probably my favorite sweeper and the most dangerous and destructive sweeper in the game, Swords Dance rayquaza. There are a few things SDrayquaza needs, a way to beat lugia, a way to beat scarfdialga, entry hazards, and possible rapid spin support. With scarfdialga and lugia out of the way and entry hazards down, rayquaza's dragon claw will OHKO the physically bulky pokemon like groudon while extremespeed will OHKO anything that tries to revenge kill it. Now another thing that rayquaza has trouble with is setting up, with below average defenses for an uber, a stealth rock weakness, a dragon weakness, and being neutral to ghost and dark attacks, rayquaza needs support to help it set up. Wobbuffet gets paired with it, being able to encore ground or resisted attacks, and preventing status while encoring it, rayquaza has a much easier time setting up. Wobbuffet also maims lugia and scarfdialga, neither doing much to it and lugia becoming set up fodder if it is dumb enough to try and toxic wobb. The team was than built around rayquaza and wobb. For entry hazards deoxys-S is given a spot, being able to lay down spikes and stealth rock gives rayquaza's extremespeed and dragon claw a guaranteed OHKO after a Swords Dance on all of its revenge killers and bulky pokemon. With SR and a layer of spikes or two, a +2 extremespeed now OHKOs garchomp, palkia, and mewtwo all the time and groudon now has a very high chance of being OHKOd by dragon claw. Now I needed a way to prevent these from being blown away, if they are blown away than rayquaza loses some key KOs. Remembering from my last team that Giratina-O's would always come in on my rapid spin attempts and start a SubCM sweep I put it on, it's also another great partner for wobb, rapes stall, and kills lugia. Now time for rapid spin support. Well right now the team lacks a way to stop an opposing DDray and non overheat SDray. Forretress gets the spot, being able to rapid spin away those rocks and than exploding on rayquaza is to good to pass up. Well now the core of the team is set but I realize I lack speed. I hate resorting to scarfers so I don't put one on so I narrow the choices down to Darkrai, Deoxys-A, and Mewtwo. Deoxys-A is too frail and by using it I would need a new lead. Darkrai gets chosen over Mewtwo for a few reasons, it has access to Nasty Plot, can sleep something which allows ample time for something to set up, and gets STAB on a dark attack. And the team was made.

Deoxys-S @ Focus Sash

-Stealth Rock
-Spikes
-Taunt
-Thunder-wave
Deoxys-S kicks the show off by setting up the entry hazards. Usually gets Steath Rock and 2 layers of spikes down which is just perfect for rayquaza. Taunt prevents opposing hazards from going up but I mainly only use it for opposing deoxys-S leads. Against dialga and groudon I just lay down the hazards because they usually attack first expecting taunt. Forry just spins them away later anyways. Thunder-wave allows deoxys to cripple a lead darkrai or mewtwo or a switch in, works better than superpower. When darkrai is paralyzed its as good as dead, when its at 30% it still outspeeds a shitload, can sleep something, nasty plot on the switch and than attack.

Forretress @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 hp 112 atk 144 def
Impish
-Rapid Spin
-Payback
-Explosion
-Toxic Spikes
Forretress spins away Stealth Rock and any Spikes that were laid down, more importantly Stealth Rock which affects Giratina-O and Rayquaza. The massive defense and steel typing allow forretress to stop a physical rayquaza, watch out for overheat. Payback is to prevent Giratina-O from setting up and Toxic Spikes are there because there was an extra move slot left and the 12% poison can help get a KO, I usually just go for one layer though because the immdiate 12% damage is better than the three turns it takes for the toxic damage to equal regular poison.

Darkrai @ Life Orb
EVs: 252 spA 4 spD 252 spe
Timid
-Dark Void
-Nasty Plot
-Dark Pulse
-Focus Blast
Darkrai is the speed that this team needed, being faster than everything in ubers except mewtwo and deoxys that doesn't hold a choice scarf. It sleeps something, nasty plots on the switch, and than hits like a truck. Focus Blast and Dark Pulse hit everything neutral.
Wobbuffet @ Leftovers
EVs: 28 hp 228 def 252 spD
Calm
-Encore
-Mirror Coat
-Counter
-Safeguard
Wobbuffet is the glue to the team, allowing giratina and rayquaza to have a much easier time setting up and dealing with their counters. Rayquaza has trouble with lugia and scarfdialga, wobbuffet just mirror coats dialga and safeguards than mirror coats lugia, or just encoring toxic, safeguarding, and than going to giratina or rayquaza. Giratina doesn't really have a counter but wobbuffet makes setting up a lot easier for it. Choose your moves carefully when facing this thing because it could just be the move that loses you the battle.
Giratina-O @ Platinum Orb
EVs: 144 hp 236 spA 18 spD 112 spe
Modest
-Calm Mind
-Dragon Pulse
-Shadow Ball
-Substitue
Giratina-O is the spin blocker for the team. Forretress is the most common rapid spinner in Ubers and if it lacks payback than Giratina-O can set up a substitute and start Calm Minding away. Substitute prevents the opponent from switching to a counter because than Giratina can hit it with a STAB attack. It also prevents status and if the opponent thinks they can just switch to Blissey to stop this beast than it better have ice beam and psych up/calm mind other wise the substitute becomes unbreakable and dragon pulse will 2HKO. Giratina does more than just breaking stall, it walls groudon and can usually 2HKO it with dragon pulse while groudon's dragon claw is a 3HKO. Giratina is an incredibly bulky attacker and can take a hit and than deal one back. It keeps the pressure on. Being a ghost type dragon with levitate and substitute and having Wobbuffet support, Giratina-O gets a chance to set up just about every match. The best thing about it though is that giratina sets up on lugia, and if rayquaza hasn't been shown and lugia is weakened, it's often sacked, usually a decision that comes back to haunt the opponent.
Rayquaza @ Life Orb

-Swords Dance
-ExtremeSpeed

-Overheat
It's time for the star of the show to make its appearance and kill anything that managed to survive the onslaught. This is the single most dangerous thing in the game. Practically nothing stops the overheat variant when entry hazards are down except scarfdialga and lugia. Take them out, set this up, and you win. I've let myself go down to 1-4 and scores like that a few times just to give rayquaza the opportunity to set up and I'll win the game. Extremespeed prevents this from being revenge killed and dragon claw gets the better of groudon, when entry hazards are down, and giratina. Overheat is clearly the better choice, at least it is for me. Earthquake is mainly for steels, lets look at those steels: Dialga, Skarmory, Forretress, Metagross, Bronzong, Scizor. The only thing earthquake is better for is dialga and metagross. When spikes are down dialga is OHKOd by +2 dragon claw and overheat OHKOs metagross. Meanwhile forretress, scizor, the rare bronzong, and skarmory are all maimed. The best part is nobody has ever expected overheat and they switch in these steels thinking they can stop rayquaza only to have their counter dead. Entry hazards are absolutely neccessary for this to sweep, if spikes and SR aren't down than extremespeed and dragon claw miss a few KO's, the only notable ones being groudon and garchomp. The best way to stop rayquaza, don't let it set up, kinda diffucult with wobb.
