Second attempt at a team

Well this is my second shot at a team, I've already made previous adjustments to it that I'll mention later. Well here we go.

The Team

Useless facts, maybe...

Well basically its an attempt at an offensive/balanced(not really) team, I'm not that good at this yet to say exactly what you'd call it. I originally had a Scarfnite over Salamence but he wasn't producing the results I wanted so I switched to Mence. Also I had Ambipom over Azelf and led with Scizor but that didn't always work and Ambipom didn't always pan out. So I took the advice of Tarquinmacdonald and swapped out Ambipom with Azelf and then led with Azelf instead.

The Team
And now on to the process. No real strategy to it I don't think :( Just get up the rocks and try to feely switch and send in my counters with my 2 U-Turn pokes. And ultimately set-up a Mence sweep.

@ Focus Sash
Levitate
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Hasty
Taunt
U-Turn
Explosion
Stealth Rock

My lead. Taunt any slower leads that may look to set-up SR, set-up my own and either explode or U-Turn and look to explode later.

Offense- Obviously a great switch into ground predicts mostly EQ and EPower as it has Levitate. So come in freely, U-Turn out for some free damage, or explode if its a problem pokemon.

Defense- Using taunts helps prevent SR to an extent and also against phazers and other pokes that use set-up routines such as subbers and the like.

dpiconani286.gif
@ Toxic Orb
Poison Heal
46 HP, 252 Attack, 212 Speed
^That little bit of HP has helped me survive some critical moments.
Adamant
Spore
Substitute
Leech Seed
Focus Punch

The SubSeed Puncher, once set-up, I have had an unbeliveable amount of success! Even when not set-up, can survive at least one hit most of the time and can then put something to sleep to get a Focus Punch off on the switch or a substitute if the attack didn't do enough to stop the cub after Poison Heal recovery.

Offensive- SubSeed and Focus punch get really annoying and are hard to break once set-up as no one save a ghost likes to come in on A Focus Punch even if resisted, and then having to take one more after that.

Defensive- Bre can take ground and roch like a beast which helps Heatran and Salamence out a lot. Also as far as dending himself, he can survive an Evire Ice Punch and some other powerful moves I can't quite remember right now.

dpiconani380.gif
@ Choice Specs
Levitate
252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Timid
Surf
Trick
Draco Meteor
Dragon Pulse

Comes in a resist and hopes to pass the specs onto a poke that can't use it or just hit something hard with Draco Meteor or a super effective surf(also on steels coming in). Dragon Pulse used for a STAB and a late game sweep.

Offensive- Can use trick to cripple set-up pokes, and also has tremendous damaging ability though someimtes isn't always helpful in a match.

Defensive- Works great with Scizor in covering weaknesses for the whole team and can back severlal others and be backed by several others.

dpiconani212.gif
@ Choice Band
Technician
252 Attack, 248 HP, 10 Speed
Adamant
Pursuit
U-Turn
Bullet Punch
Super Power

Scout, hard physical hitter, pursuit trapper. Not much to say that hasn't already been said of CB Scizor.

Offensive- Helps scout with U-Turn, hit hard with bullet punch and Super Power for those select few mostly Blissey, and also pursuit traps(pretty much all mentioned above).

Defensive- Only one weakness, many resistances, and decent definse, covers the team well.

dpiconani485.gif
@ Life Orb
252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Flash Fire
Timid
Substitute
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Hidden Power(Grass)

Perfect scare tactic until discovered. Scarftran is used so often that everyone assumes if its Heatran, he has Choice Scarf. Well it pleasures me much to hear that silent -gasp- on the other end as they switch and see the sub go up.Also is my main Swampert counter and people love to switch him in and then sadly watch him leave after a HP(Grass).

Offensive- That's all this guy does besides offer some key 4x resist and help Scizor out with fire immunity. Just Sub up and Blast away!

Defensive- As mentioned some great 4x resist and FIRE IMMUNITY! Can also get a free hit before having to switch with a sub up.

dpiconani373.gif
@ Life Orb
252 Speed, 232 Attack, 24 Special Attack
Adamant
Dragon Dance
Fire Bllast
Earthquake
Dragon Claw

My main Defiler on the team, don't really like to reveal him until the end or if the oppurtunity is too good to pass up. Just set-up with one DD, peferrably two(thinking of Yache instead of LO) And end it all.

Offensive- As mentioned DD up and wreak havoc.

Defensice- Decent defenses, an immunity to ground and some resisitances help mence not be completely helpless. And also fairly easy to switch in.

Conclusion

Well that's the team, again I'm still fairly new so I gave as much in depth as I could, hope you all can help and I will be greatly appreciative of those who can. And improvement suggestions would also be GREATLY helpful.

P.S. A better Latias setperhaps as this one isn't very productive sometimes, as well as a possible Heatran replacement as he, like Latias has been on the less productive side sometimes.

Hi,

my first suggestion is to give your Azelf fire blast over u-turn and to change its EV spread to: 116 Atk / 140 SAtk / 252 Spe. Fire blast and the suggested EVs give you an almost guaranteed 2hko on most steel leads (barring Heatran, obviously), notably Metagross (just watch for bullet punch), Jirachi and Bronzong.

Secondly, you lack a counter for SD Lucario: Salamence can switch in only once with stealth rock on the field and after the second switch in a +1 life orb'd extremespeed will OHKO it. Every member of your team is OHKOed by a +2 Lucario, so that's definitely a problem, especially considering that it can easily set up on a Scizor locked into pursuit or even bullet punch. Without twisting your team, I'd suggest to scarf your Heatran, so you will be sure to, at least, revenge kill a rampaging Lucario. You'll lose some power, but that's a good deal in my opinion. So:

Heatran@choice scarf
nature: naive / timid
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
-fire blast
-earth power
-hidden power grass / hidden power ice
-explosion / dragon pulse

Another possible problem that I've noticed is Gyarados: a DD Gyarados can give you massive problems, especially if it has ice fang. Sice you said that Latias has not been productive for your team, I'd suggest to replace her with a support Starmie:

Starmie@leftovers
nature: timid
EVs: 136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spe
-surf
-thunderbolt
-rapid spin
-recover

This pokemon can be a good check for Gyarados: it will often survive a +1 stone edge and will OHKO back with thunderbolt. Starmie is also an effective Infernape counter (Latias can counter Ape as well, but not without recover) and spinning away SR may help you to sweep late game with Salamence. It's also an extra insurance against bulky waters like Vaporeon, though Breloom can set up on most of them.

Good luck!

Notes on the new lead and Scizor arrangement

I really like the way that, even though you are using a new lead like Azelf, it is still the unusual Taunt / U-turn variety and I commend you on finding a way to make a normally standard lead curve to meet your old leads role. This also makes your Azelf much less expected then normal Azelf leads are! I hope this new arrangement works well for you, it should work extra well against leads like Roserade, Bronzong and enemy Azelf. Thanks to taunt, Azelf can U-Turn out of battle and then return to use explosion without dying from Stealth Rock! This set also helps you escape the clutches of the fearsome Lead CB Tyranitar, as U-Turn circumvents Pursuit, allowing you to switch to Scizor and U-Turn again, scouting his switch in!

Well done indeed =D
