Hello everyone and welcome to my second rmt thread. This time, its for uu. Ill try my best here, but im not all that good in this. Also, if the pics come out weird, or not at all, ill do my best to fix them. Anyway onto the reason u are here...my uu Team!!
Ive build this team about 4 weeks ago, and up until now, it was undefeated on pokeladder. With the new uu changes (which im still kinda pissed off about,) this team now has a threat that it just wasnt made to answer. ill get into the threat list later. Anyway, i love this team, and for my first uu team, im really suprised at how well it performs. Everyone checks the other's weakness to the best of their ability, and it had all around excellent syngery. well, enough rambling. lets begin, shall we?
Lead:
Ambipom@Life Orb
Technichan
Jolly nature. 252spe/252atk/6hp
Fake Out
U-Turn
Return
Brick Break
Typical Ambipom lead i kno. Everyone's seen them a million times. Well, thats because it works. nets fast, unexpected kills, and witht the support my team has, it can even come in at times when its least expected and forgotten about. I use her as a hit and run lead. Fake out, return if im positive it can ko, then run away. pretty straightforward.
Stallers:
Registeel@Leftovers
Clear Body
Careful Nature. 252hp/100atk/156spd
Iron head
Explosion/Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Toxic/Thunder Wave
I wanted someone who could come in off of a Ambipom U-Turn with almost immunity. Registeel, with its many resistances, seemed to fit that role perfectly in the uu world. i dont think there are any leads that can do serious damage to a registeel swiching in. Registeel onced live to set up stealth rock and paralyze anything and everything it can. but, with the change, things kinda went south for its purouse. Now, i carry toxic and explosion on it, to be able to deal with brand new threats. registeel remains one of my best walls, but it is not a completely necessary one, as once it sets up rocks, it really has done its main purpouse of life for this particular team.
Weezing@Leftovers
Levitate
Bold nature. 252hp/252def/6spa
Pain Split
Will-O-Wisp
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
The second of my walls. i realized upon Building the team that i had (or was going to have) a nasty fighting and steel weakness. there are too many fighting type pokemon out there to leave this unchecked, so i choose weezing as my physcial wall. I glanced at spiritomb, but i then realized that spiritomb, while it can completely deal with fighters, cant deal with steels that well, with all of them running around with earthquake and whatever else they carry. With a Fighting Resist, and immunity to Ground, Weezing serves this team well, being among the last to faint if necessary, and causing havoc for any and all fighters and steels and whatever other physcial sweepers are out there. always sending out weezing after registeel nets me a free turn, since people tend to go for earthquake when they see one.
Meganium@Leftovers
Overgrow
Calm nature. 220hp/100spa/190spd
Energy Ball
Aromatherapy
Light Screen
Leech Seed
The third wall. this time, special based. Meganium has turned out to be the Glue that holds this team together, on almost all of my battles. from my list, meganium is the only one i refuse to take out. Light Screen on a special wall means that my opponent swiches, no questions asked. from there, i can aromatherapy, if everyone is status inflicted, or i can leech seed, which means i can bring in ambipom with no fear from a special attack. No poison typing means i can swich in to other psychics, when most grassers cannot do, and that is proably the single reason she was chosen over other grasses, most inportantly, venasaur. Energy Ball is for when i have noting else to do. i realized that if meganium falls early, there is a high chance i will loose, or at least be fighting an uphill battle. I would love to put wish support on this team to help her out, but i cant find the room for it.
Sweepers:
Azumarill@Choice Band
Huge Power
Adamant Nature. 252atk/240hp/16spe
Aqua Jet
Waterfall
Ice Punch
Superpower
Typical Azumarill set, isnt it? Supepower was chosen over return because it packs a more nasty punch to steels than return could ever imagine to do. it was chosen over focus punch because i hate waiting for an attack to go through, especially one that has a chance of failing if opponent is faster. i dont get the chance to use ice punch often, but when i do, it can net some suprise ko's. Aqua Jet is for speedy hits, which azumraill lacks for bulk, and waterfall is the typical stab move. azumarill tends to attrack pkmn who like burning with will-o-wisp, which adds to meganiums vital importance to this team.
Porygon Z@Choice Scarf
Adaptability
Modest Nature. 252spa/252spe/6def
Tri Attack
Dark Pulse
Ice Beam
Hyper Beam
The new addiction to the team. if you have noticed, my team has a weakness to steel, Ground if gravity is in play, and a particular nasty wekaness to Fighting. the original pokemon at this slot was Honokrow, who checked all of these weaknesses, but since he banishment to the bl tier (sigh...) i was forced to look elsewhere. Porygon certaintly does not help with the fighting wekaness, but as a late game sweeper, it certaintly does not dissapoint, especially scarfed. tri attack is typical stab, while ice beam deals with rocks, and grounds. Dark pulse was chosen at an attempt to check the new best wall in uu named cresselia, (whoever thought of that that...wow. thats all i have to say,) but why hyper beam? Porygon z is used as a late game sweeper, and only comes in to revenge kill in the early game. Since i suck at Breeding, i cant put a decent Hidden power on it, and Thunderbolt dident do much for type coverage. so i sacraficed Steel type Coverage for hyper beam, which ohko's almost the entire meta, and give me a laugh when it its used.
well, thats my team, in a nutshell. ill make a threat list if im in the mood, but for right now, if anyone can help me with my fighting weakness, and that stupid floating, pink...whatever it is, ill be grateful. if you can find some wish support, that would help me out even more. thanks for taking the time to read my rmt, i do hope it was flavorful. looking forward to your responses.
