This is my second vgc team and hope that I did a good job making it. My only problem is that idk what mega to use.

This is the team:

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Landorus is back for VGC 2015 and is replacing the garachomp I used in 2014. Landorus is meant to be a monstrous physical sweeper that can deal with threats like thunderus well and intimidate opponents for the attack drop. The scarf is used to insurer an outspeed and u-turn is used for scouting. Knock off also ruin's cresselia with the super effective.

Greninja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Water Shuriken
- Grass Knot

The first of two special sweepers, but this one takes care of Suicune, a hard counter for this team. Dark pulse is the main stab and ice beam takes care of the genies and salamance. Water Shuriken was an interesting choice and is used when I know greninja will die. It is great when greninja gets thunder waved or if it faces a pokemon that might out speed it. Also great for picking off focus sashers with priority (bisharp)

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Heat Wave
- Substitute
- Will-O-Wisp

Heatran is standard heat wave shenanigans. Air Balloon makes him great to lead with landorus, being able to earthquake and heatwave. Flash cannon is for sylveon and substitute is great, as it gives me a free attacking turn if I out predict.

Mienshao @ Lum Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Wide Guard
- Quick Guard

Mienshao is a great fake outer that plays mind games with thunderus, sableye, talonflame, and landorus. Quick and wide guard shuts down prankster and earthquake spam. Hugh Jump Kick is chosen because of its insane power and a solid STAB hit. Mienshao also outspeeds Mega Kanghaskan by 1 point so it can fake it out early.

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Bold Nature
- Encore
- Taunt
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain

Whimsicott takes care of Thunderus and other pranksters as it outspeeds them. Encore is for niche situations against stat boosters. Leech seed and giga drain are for sustain as well as the leftovers.

So this is 5/6 pokes. As you can see I need an idea for a mega evolution. I considered Kanghaskan and Gallade, but I'd like opinions. Thanks!

Hey there!

Nice team! I think it works well. A few suggestions though:

On Greninja, I would recommend Mat Block, because, like Fake Out, on the first turn greninja is able to protect both itself and it's teammate. It works great for set-up sweepers and fake out blocking. Also, on heatran, another good option is protect, for scouting with subprotect combo. On Mienshao, you don't have viable recovery, so I suggest drain punch instead of HJK. It's not reliable recovery, but it's recovery all the same. Everything looks good, but it seems you need a mega!

Kangaskhan

Kangaskhan really shines in VGC, as it fits on most teams regardless of the teammates. Fake out with PoP (power-up-punch) is amazing, as you can boost Kang's attack to amazing levels. Sucker Punch can be used alongside Return for some great coverage against mega Gengar. Although Lando support against mega Mawile is appreciated, if not running EQ.

Set looks like:

Kangaskhan @ Kangaskhanite
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 SpD
Jolly Nature
Moves:
Sucker Punch
Fake Out
Power-Up-Punch/Earthquake
Return/Double-Edge

Really solid team! As stated above, I suggest Kangaskhan as your mega!

Perhaps you could use Mega Scizor. It covers your team's fairy and cresselia weaknesses and can pack a punch.

Scizor Scizorite
Ability: Swarm
252 HP/ 252 Attack/ 4 Sp D
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
