Aerodactyl@Life Orb/Focus Sash

Adamant

EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk./252 Spe

~Rock Slide
~Ice Fang
~Crunch
~EQ

This is my lead as many of my other leads were too slow and couldn't really hit as hard as the CB'ed version of Aerodactyl. I chose Rock Slide over Stone Edge as it has more accuracy and the flinch chance is also nice whereas Stone Edge has less accuracy but more power and no flinch chance. Ice Fang is for Grasses that would somewhat wall this set such as Meganium and EQ is for more coverage. A dilemma arises between Fire Fang and Pursuit as the AI doesn't switch Pursuit would only be useful for Ghosts and Psychics but, Lucario already covers them so I'm guessing I'm going to choose Fire Fang as it offers a flinch/burn chance which could be somewhat useful when facing those major threats such as Garchomp or Tyranitar but I'd use Ice Fang and Earthquake respectively. Aerodactyl also offers a nice Ground immunity for Lucario and some other helpful resistances such as to Fire and Fighting although Aerodactyl can't really do much back to the Fighting pokes except hit with either the Fangs or possibly Earthquake.

EVs: 4 Def./252 SpA/252 Spe

~Aura Sphere
~Vacuum Wave
~HP Ice/Dragon Pulse
~Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball

I chose Lucario to have a somewhat fast and hard hitting special sweeper on my singles BT team and thanks to his typing he resists a lot of types that other special sweepers such as alakazam or gardevoir would'nt be able to. Paired up with Aerodactyl on the same team he's virtually unstoppable except by physical walls such as Snorlax, in particular the Cursing Snorlax in the Battle Tower, the only way this team would deal with him would probably be me hitting him with Lucarios' Aura Sphere as stated in the analysis his Aura Sphere is powerful enough to 2HKO Blissey.

EVs: 252 Spe/252 Atk./4 HP

~Swords Dance
~EQ
~Outrage/Dragon Claw
~Fire Fang

I decided to change Gliscor with Garchomp from reading some suggestions of some posters and I think this is my best option at having a potent sweeper in the Battle Tower. Although I don't know which item to go with, Life Orb for more power but 10% off my health after every attack that lands or Yache Berry that can only be used once in the battle and weakens one Ice attack for more survivability but since I already have an Ice resist in Lucario I think I will go with Life Orb.

So that's my Singles Battle Tower Team that I just constructed today so please feel free to rate it as thoroughly as possible, PLEASE!

that aerodactyl spread is meant for a jolly aerodactyl and an extra 8 hp wont make a difference so just max it, im not a fan of a nonwalling/BP gliscor, there are just better sweepers out there like garchomp who has similar weakness's, sandveil, and Swords Dance/Earthquake with ourage

He lacks the recovery option of roost.

although I would still prefer garchomp.

Max what? Speed? I will take into consideration Garchomp as I used him on my last BT team and he just destroyed everything, but that was with a Belly Drum pass. I guess I could use one of the sweeping sets instead of the odd Brightpowder set. Thanks for the suggestions.

I'd go with Crunch instead of Fire Fang/Pursuit for Aerodactyl for coverage against ghosts/psychics. Fire is SE on Steel/Ice/Grass. EQ already covers Steel, Rock covers Ice, and Ice Fang covers Grass already, so Fire Fang is only going to be useful on Bronzong and Skarmory, neither of which is OHKO anyway while Gyro Ball OHKOs Aerodactyl. It's also good to hit ghosts and psychics on the physical side anyway since many of them have bad defense compared to special defense. I'd actually use life orb or focus sash on Aerodactyl instead of choice band so you can switch between attacks more easily, but that's up to you. If you are using Garchomp, Yache or Lum Berry would be good options to have. I think this team should do all right.

Crunch is a good option for Aerodactyl as Garchomp already has Fire Fang and it's stronger than Pursuit. For Garchomp I don't think I'm going to use Lum or Yache Berry as I want more power instead of wasting an item slot on something that's only useful for one turn in a battle while Life Orb lasts for the whole battle though the 10% recoil damage you receive is one of its' downsides:( Focus Sash would offer Aerodactyl more survivability but would take away some of its' power which, I believe, it needs as base 105 attack isn't that high. Life Orb could be used again to still keep the power gain but also allow more flexibility with Aerodactyls' attacking strategy but again the 10% recoil is a downside. Thanks for the help, Chinese Dood!

Aerodactyl isn't going to survive any attacks anyway with its poor defenses. That's why life orb wouldn't be much of an issue for Aerodactyl (and that's why focus sash is also useful). On the other hand, Garchomp actually has good defenses to survive attacks, and so that's why I suggested a defensive item. I use a Dragonite in my current team, and I found that Lum was very useful, even more so than Yache, but Yache did get me slightly further (Lum got me to 88, Yache got me to 91). Anyway, yah, your choice. Life Orb on Garchomp would be useful too, obviously.

Well thanks for the suggestions for my BT team Chinese Dood, I will definately take them into consideration. Maybe I could test different versions of Garchomp/Aerodactyl in the Battle Tower with different items to decide which one is of more use.
