Seekers DW sand ( PO team )

Hi guys.

After trying out weatherless I just got fed up and decided to go with sand. I have played many games with teams and it has served me well, stopping most standard rain teams in its tracks. I am a fan of bulky hard hitters and I enjoy keeping my pokes alive, although this team is definitely not stall. Well here goes. NB! this is a PO team and hence excadrill is not banned

Hippowdon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Roar

I chose Hippo over TTar due to its superior Physical bulk and recovery move. It also counters conkeldurr and other fighting types which my team does not enjoy dealing with. Pretty standard moveset. Roar is there for Phazing and I will like to keep it there. Evs ensure it has maximum physical bulk while still being able to take HP ice/grass fairly well. Hippo is a free switch in to things like toxicroak which messes up my opponents rain, and slack off can increase its lifespan a great deal.

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 172 HP / 84 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Protect

Yes I know, weird evs. But heres the story. I was just plain lazy at the start, but this heatran has served me well, so I decided to not fix whats not broken. Toxic makes politoed switch in cry their eyes out. Protect is great move IMO stacking toxic damage, scouting moves and healing heatran. Heatran has good synergy with Landorus as well. Heatran is an exccelent Genect counter as well ( one of the few out there). It also checks non BP espeon and sableye. I am willing to change evs/moveset, as I said I was lazy :/

Landorus (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- Smack Down
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Substitute

Ahh Landorus. Hits hard even with no LO/CB. Substitute provides many free turns vs Ferros who try to leech seed/ Gliscors who protect. Landorus also provides a way to kill Gliscor, who my team would otherwise struggle against. Smack Down was suggested to me by someone to troll Skarmory and its also has 100% accuracy unlike another move I wont mention. Landorus also deals with breloom ok which my team hates. I ran a scarfed version at first, but gliscors ended up predicting me, so I switched to sub lefties and I dont regret it

Gastrodon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Toxic

Gastro, rains nightmare. He can eat 1000000000000000000 rain boosted Hydro pumps and live. He can also eat Draco meteors and recover for the win. Scald pulls off an insane amount of burns, while ice beam allows me to hurt Dnite and beat sub disable gengar. Toxic is to make waters cry. Gastro also lures Ferrothorn Like a moth to a flame, which allows my Breloom to set up. Max Sp.def allows me to wall Starmies, and the Lati twins etc.

Excadrill (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- X-Scissor

Choice band Adamant excadrill does beastly damage, OHkoing many attackers expecting a an SD. It 2Hkoes Ferro as well. TBH I changed to this set when I was getting seriously hurt by keldeo, who dies banded excadrill. Rapid spin is essential since my team does not like Spike Stacking. X-scizzor for celebi/ Lati twins. Exca beats dragonite, zapdos etc after rocks. I seriously doubt I will swap him since he outspeed basically revenges almost everything

Breloom (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Substitute

Finally breloom. Yes very unorthodox evs, but this allows me to be a great excadrill counter, which my team does not enjoy playing against.Breloom already has enough atk to deal decent damage to most pokes with focus punch. Poison heal allows me to recover HP even in the sand. He can also take opposing Brelooms mach punches fairly well and spore ftw. Ferro struggles to break his sub as well. Toxic orb also prevents bogus scald burns. Most people prepare for Techniloom as well, and sub breloom can prove to be troublesome. Willing to accept changes.

This team has served me well winning about 80 % of ladder games and some minor tourneys as well.
Please critisize.

Hi,

Since this is a dream world team as you specified, I have a recommendation that you might want to try out. Technician Breloom is alot better than the SubPunch Breloom that your current using in my opinion. The set looks something like this.

Breloom (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Spore

The advantages of using this is that bullet seed has a chance to hit more than twice, allowing you to get a possible crit somewhere in there and after 3 hits its base power is far greater than Seed Bomb. Priority Mach Punch is excellent as it gets boosted by Technician also.

Good Luck with the team otherwise!

Hmm Ive thought of this long and hard, but Techniloom istoo frail especially in sand , for this team. I need to switch into threats like ferro and excadrill freely, which poison heals allows me to. Thanks anyway, I understand where you coming from, but I prefer SubPunch for THIS team
