Here is my semi-stall team:
Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave
Chansey is my special wall and healer, I really like how it has Thunderwave to cripple a lot of attackers. Chansey tanks all the hitsMega-Venusaur cannot, like Greninja and Talonflame. She has became even more valuable after ghost became the best coverage move in Gen 6 and she can completely tank Gengar's hits. I'm still debating whether to change her into a Wish-pass set or not. My team involves constant switches so they will take a lot of entry hazard damages, I don't have defog because I have SR and spikes already. I'm just afraid that I will be worn down first and without Chansey's wish I might be in trouble.
Bisharp @ Leftovers
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
Bisharp is my main Physical attacker. Knock off is his main stab, 2HKO-3HKO most of the meta-game with neutral resistance. I had substitute in place of swords dance before, but I ultimately found swords dance a more long lasting option. Since if I substitute on Clefable and she switches out into keldeo, I can't really do anything anyways. Sucker punch is my priority move and iron head is there to kill fairies and gain more coverage.
Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 224 HP / 28 Atk / 32 Def / 224 SDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird
I am really not sure of the EV spread here. I just gave it 28 atk EV from the 224 SDef so that... I don't even know, so I really need help here. It doesn't need SR because Heatran has it already. It has roost for recovery, and whirlwind to phaze and stack hazard damage. I had taunt in place of whirlwind before, but eventually whirlwind saved me lots more trouble, like taunting on bisharp, instead of simply whirlwind it. Brave Bird hits surprisingly hard, since Skarmory has 80 base attack (1 point lower than Talonflame). It deals with Taunts and even kills trappers like Gothitelle.
Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Flying]
Keldeo is my Special attacker and I rely on him the most to gradually wear down the foe's switches. I had Substitute in place of Calm mind before, similar to Bisharp, and I decided to replace it because even if i substitute on bisharp and Mega-Venu switches in, HP Flying doesn't do much damage without boosts, so I decided to give him calm mind. I don't really prefer Icy wind, although it kills dragons, but I think scald is usually enough to deal with Dragonite and Garchomp since it can sometimes burn those physical attackers.
Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Serious Nature
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Mega-Venusaur is really annoying and hard to deal with, there are only a few hard counters in the meta-game. No matter what the foe switches, it uses leech seed first. It had sludge bomb before but I found HP Fire to have much better coverage, especially Scizor and Ferrothorn. Synthesis is there to provide reliable recovery, and giga drain as its main stab for Azumarill and Rotom-w.
Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 40 SDef / 216 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock
I used to prefer Leftovers for Heatran, but I found that surprisingly useless, since that doesn't really make a difference on Heatrans, who gets OHKO'ed by most Fighting moves and all Ground moves. So I decided to give it air balloon, so it can actually switch in on an EQ, tank a hit while using Toxic or SR, and then run away. I gave him taunt because he has a plethora of resistances so he's easy to switch-in on mons and taunt them (*cough baton pass teams). It also has Toxic so that mons that try to set up on him gets a time limit. I gave him Full Speed to outspeed Krookodile with no Speed EV and Rotom-w with 44 speed EVs.
