Series 7 Newcomer Live Tournament

Interested in gaining some BSS tournament experience without worrying about playing a circuit champion Round 1? This is the tournament for you! Participants should be newer to BSS - if you're a former Invitationals player, seasonal champ, or roomstaff; this isn't the tour for you. We will host two live tours at different times over the weekend to accommodate as many timezones as possible. The winners of each live tour will play each other in a Best of 3 the following week to determine the inaugural Newcomer Tournament champ! The winner will receive a custom role in our Discord server!

When:
  • Tour 1: Saturday, February 6th, 8pm EST (GMT-5)​
  • Tour 2: Sunday, February 7th, 10am EST (GMT-5)​
  • Championship: The following week, between February 7th-February 14th
Where:
  • Battle Stadium Room on PS
What:
  • Best of 1, Double Elimination Tournament
  • Series 7 BSS Ruleset (Different than the current BSS ladder rules! - Think BSS ft. Crown Tundra DLC minus the cover legendaries)
  • BSS Beginners only! - If you are unsure if this means you, ask myself or 1_TrickPhony
Since this is a live tour, we can't take signups right now, but you are welcome to post in here if you wish to be tagged as a reminder when official signups go live. Signups will go live 30 minutes before the scheduled start time!

Signups for Tour 1 will be posted Feb 6, 7:30pm EST
Signups for Tour 2 will be posted Feb 7, 9:30am EST

In order to garner more attention for this event, I have decided to personally sponsor a $10 prize to the winner of the event IF we reach 20+ signups. Invite your friends so we can get more activity, and please post "IN" here so we know you plan to participate!
 
Tournament Update:
Due to low early sign-ups, we have decided to run this on the main PS! server instead of on SmogTours as originally planned.
The tournament will change as follows:

  • Instead of a Bo3, Single Elimination tournament bracket hosted here, we will use a Bo1, Double Elimination room tournament
  • Bans will be put in place to prevent Series 8 teams from being legal
  • The winners of each tour will still play each other in a Bo3 later to determine the grand winner.
Sign-ups are now live! Please post "in" below if you are interested in playing and join the PS room to keep an eye out for the room tournament in 30 minutes! Good luck!
