Set-up everywhere team

I started off this team right after the 5th gen strategy dex came out. Dome pokes are just ones i wanted to try out and others are ones that i have been using since even back in 5th gen. I have used this team to some success, nut it probably could use a little tweaking.

1.)Dragonite@Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EV: Hp 252, attck; 44, spe; 212
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Roost

Bulky dnite may very well be one of my favorite pokes of all time. It can take a beating and strike back with some incredible force. I use this as my lead because if the opponent is running a set-up lead i can get in two sometimes three dragon dances and sweep.

2.) Ferrothorn@Leftovers
Nature:Relaxed
EV: HP; 252, Def; 48, SpD; 208
-Stealth Rock
-Leech Seed
-Power Whip
-Thunder Wave

Originally, I used Ferrothorn because I wanted to try it out and see what it could do and i everyone was using one on their teams. Ferrothorn, I discovered, is hardly capable of sweeping its way through teams, however it is very good at disrupting them. On a side note it also makes a very good check against politoed and rotom-W both of which the rest of my team can only damage.

3.) Conkeldurr@Leftovers
Nature: Brave
EV: Hp; 120, Attck; 252, SpD; 200
-Bulk Up
-Drain Punch
-Mach Punch
-Payback

I originally had jellicent in this team slot to make the amazing jelli/ ferro pair, but i quickly realized how much jellicent kinda stunk. I needed a counter to excadrill t-tar and something that could bring most pokes into Revenge kill range and conkeldurr was the man for the job.

4.) Scizor@Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
EV; Hp; 4, Attck; 252, Spe; 252
-Bug Bite
-Bullet Punch
-Superpower
-Quick attack

Scizor is another poke that I have been using for a fairly long time. I use scizor either mid game or early game to great effect. Bug bite is my go to move against most pokes. It is a ridiculously strong attack that can do an incredible amount of damage. Plenty of times people I am facing have switched their pokemon out only to get hit in the face from a Bug bite for 100% damage. Bottom line, Scizor rocks.

5.)Gliscor@Toxic Orb
Nature: Impish
EV: Hp; 252, Def; 184, Spe; 72
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Facade
-Protect

If im unsure of pokemon on this team it's gliscor. But he has done some incredible things and takes hits like they were nothing. also his STAB EQ after a Swords Dance hits a lot of things really hard. It also stalls other pokes to death with protect.

6.) Starmie@Life Orb
Nature: Timid
EV: Hp; 4, SpA; 252, Spe; 252
-Hydro Pump
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Psyshock

Starmie is my go to counter for everything that bothers other members of my team. I use Starmie realizing that every time I go in its kill or be killed, but thats okay because it kills a lot of important things like gliscor and dragon types, gyarados and heatran. Depending on how common blissey is i sometimes replace psyoshock with psychic.

Thanks for reading about my team feel free to leave comments below.

A suggestion for Gliscor. I have seen people with a stalling gliscor.

Gliscor@ Toxic Orb
Not sure of nature and EVs
-Toxic
-Protect
-Substitute
-Earthquake

This allows you to toxic a pokemon, and slowly let it die while you substitute or protect. After both moves, you would have gained back all the HP from substitute nyway. Earthquake is for those poison and steel types who you can't toxic. I would think It would need a Jolly nature to hit first, with EVs of 252 Spd/244 HP/12 Atk or something. Conkeldurr is not a problem as you can still stall it out.

agree with EVTrainer about the Gliscor set, that one mauls like every physical attacker in the game.

As well, why are you running so many speed EVs on Scizor? Scizor is the prime example of a hit and run pokemon and you would want as much bulk as possible. Bullet Punch and Quick Attack give you even more reasons to not run speed. 248 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 8 SpD Adamant is a pretty good spread. Maximizes the amount of times you can switch into entry hazards, and can take a DM if Ferro goes down. U-Turn > Bug Bite. The ability to scout is far more valuable than the extra power.

A fling acrobatics gliscor would be pretty handy seeing how toxicing something is always nice and a stab acrobatics does a incredibly high amount of damage to almost anything

A suggestion for Starmie: Psyshock's main use IMO is beating Conkeldurr but if it's gotten a couple defence boosts then Psyshock won't deal the KO. Hence, I suggest Psychic as your Psychic STAB since Psyshock doesn't hurt Blissey enough for the 2HKO (you requre something like specs base 130 STAB Psyshock for that).

How dare you use the username that so closely resembles mine!

But all joking aside, this is a pretty good team.

Scizor needs U-Turn over Bug Bite and Pursuit over Quick Attack. The EV spread needs to be 244HP/252Atk/8Spd.

I like the spread 252hp/16atk/240Sdef for Scizor. It lets you switch into to Latios and survive a non boosted Hidden Power [Fire] from Magnezone. Replace Bug Bite with U-Turn and Quick Attack with Pursuit as D-Nite said.
