A samurai clad in steel armor, Scizor strikes down its enemies with one wicked punch. Bullet Punch nails Fairy- and Ice-types like Iron Valiant, Flutter Mane, and Kyurem while also allowing Scizor to pick off setup sweepers like Unburden Sneasler. At +2, Close Combat crushes Steel- and Dark-types like Archaludon, Corviknight, and Ting-Lu after minimal chip damage. Trailblaze threatens Water-types like Primarina and Swampert and lets Scizor outspeed threats like non-Choice Scarf Urshifu-R after one use. Knock Off targets Gholdengo and Pecharunt and punishes defensive switch-ins like Toxapex by removing their Heavy-Duty Boots. 216 Speed EVs allow Scizor to outspeed physically defensive Archaludon. Teammates like Skarmory, Heatran, and Archaludon provide entry hazard support, making it easier for Scizor to clean up. Heatran also boasts a Fire immunity that lets it take on threats like Volcarona and Ninetales. Hisuian Goodra and Archaludon capitalize on their excellent bulk and typing; Hisuian Goodra walls Choice Specs Greninja and Dragapult, while Archaludon handles Ceruledge. Gholdengo is a great teammate for Scizor, removing Toxapex and Skarmory while appreciating the removal of Ting-Lu.
