Hey guys, so after my first team Bright side of life, a sun-based team, I tried to build up another team without abusing a certain weather condition. It took a while to put up a solid team because I didn´t get to know all the sets played in the recent metagame and there always were things which pissed me off. I was switching my sweepers so often that I probably won´t have any problems to analyse a set which is actually a good thing ;D
You are probably wondering why there is a picture of the members of Slaughterhouse (very talented rap group), Eminem and Yelawolf. Well, I have to admit that I´m a huge fan of Eminem and I came up with the idea to name my Pokes after the new Shady crew.
But without further ado, let´s get into this.

Shady 2.0
This is the most recent process I´ve been going through, it would take like forever to show you the things I tried out ;)

I decided to start off with that bad guy. Never played with a Garchomp and it looks bad ass.

A rapid spinner is essential in the recent metagame, so I decided to go for a donphan. Excellent bulk...

To add another Poke into my defensive core Jirachi was a good addition.

Keldeo really impressed me and so it works great as a revenge killer.

I thought about an expansion of my defensive core. With Jirachi I already had a specially defensive wall so I was looking for a physical defensive one. Skarmory has Spikes and Whirlwind which give this team a bit of a stalling ability.

Latias is a great addition because it´s a safe switch-in to certain threats like Landorus.

Analysis

Garchomp.png

Eminem (Garchomp) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

According to its nickname, Garchomp is the star of the team. This guy is the real definition of power and fear. I basically chose it because it forces a lot of switches and from there it´s just routine, whether setting up SD and produce devastating damage or a double switch to hold the momentum. Pretty much standard actually. I didn´t go for Outrage over Dragon Claw cuz Garchomp should be staying alive. Even though it has a specific bulk using this bulk in the late game is for sure more useful if we assume that my scarfed Keldeo is gonna clean up Garchomps counters. Garchomp´s excellent ability to work as a late game sweeper is another argument speaking clearly for him. Earthquake as a STAB does a lot of damage even without Swords Dance. I´m not sure but it seems like the rain teams are decreasing at the moment. Never have been a fan of rain. But thanks to this trend going down Fire Fang gets back his usage of destroying Steeltypes with 2 hits. Did I mentioned that he looks bad ass?

Skarmory.png

Budden (Skarmory) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spd
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Brave Bird

Moving on to my physical wall, Skarmory´s job is pretty simple. Block physical sweeper, set up Spikes, in special cases use Whirlwind to make use of SR and Spikes. Skarmory is some sort of the backup if Donphan died after doing his thang. With the advantage that I always get up my rocks, I can make full use of Skarmory. Whirlwind to phaze out obvious set up sweeper. It´s kind of fascinating how effective Brave Bird is. It can deal out damage which works out for me to clean the rest with Keldeo or Garchomp. With Roost on the last Slot this bird is a hard thing to get down.

Latias.png

Ellie (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 68 SDef / 192 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock
- Thunder Wave
- Recover

Latias main job is to counter all pokes, the rest of my team can´t take that easy. With the EV spread I can use Latias good speed to revenge kill most of the dragons thanks to Dragon Pulse as a STAB. Thunder Wave is very useful and works additional to Jirachi´s Iron Head. Psyshock takes out Genger which can be a pain in the ass cuz it blocks Donphan very well. Recover keeps Latias alive most of the matches and takes a lot of damage. Threats like Landorus are very easy to handle.

Royce 5´9 (Donphan) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Atk / 132 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard

My lead most of the time. Very good to use against Tyranitar to go straight for Stealth Rock. Donphan also counters Deoxys-D decent with the advantage to get my own rocks up and spin his away. With excellent def and attack stats I put a balanced ev spread on both with adamant nature to hit dragons with Ice Shard or get off a STAB EQ to the face.

647r.png

Crooked I (Keldeo-Resolute) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Ice]

The revenge killer. Hydro Pump and Surf with STAB and possible rain boost, hydro pump to get off damage und Surf to revenge kill, thanks to Keldeo´s awesome spatk. Secret Sword is another STAB which takes out a lot of threats in the metagame. Hidden Power Ice for dragons ofc. But I´m not sure whether to use HP Ice or something else since I have Latias and Donphan taking care of dragons.

Jirachi.png

With great type coverage and immunity to Toxic, Jirachi is a safe switch-in to special sweeper who can cause trouble to Latias. Access to Wish makes Jirachi necessary to this team by giving decent support to the rest of my team. Another great thing about Jirachi is its ability. The combination of parahax and flinch made me win some matches and with Latias using Thunder Wave the combination is deadly.

Ortiz (Jirachi) @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 244 HP / 232 SDef / 32 Spd
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Body Slam
- Iron Head

Thanks for taking time to rate my team :)
