This discarded husk has revived the stall archetype in SS OU, giving immense versatility as a blanket wall to typical stallbreakers including Tapu Lele, Kyurem, and Melmetal. It also provides unique utility by blocking U-turn and denying momentum to Tapu Koko and Urshifu-R, which annoy common stall structures. Poltergeist gives Shedinja a strong STAB move to pressure Heatran and Clefable, and its non-contact nature makes it a safe option to use early- and mid-game against an incoming Ferrothorn or Garchomp. Shadow Sneak lets Shedinja pick off faster threats like Dragapult, Zeraora, and Blacephalon, complementing Poltergeist as a high-PP poking tool to push Pokemon into its range. Will-O-Wisp punishes physical attackers and common switch-ins, like Corviknight and Ferrothorn, while Protect lets Shedinja scout for super effective moves and absorb Future Sight. Swords Dance can optionally be used instead to turn it into a late-game wincon. Shedinja’s polarity as a wall means that you can place it alongside almost any other common stall Pokemon, like Gastrodon, which can handle Fire-types like Heatran and Volcarona well, or Toxapex, which can force progress with Knock Off and Scald to annoy some of Shedinja’s safest switch-ins, like Ferrothorn, Toxapex, and Clefable.

Gonna just mention it early in case QC+GP can help: the spotlight currently exceeds 1200 characters without spaces, which is pretty far above our 1000 limit. It would be great if we could trim it down by at least 100 chars :blobwizard:

This discarded husk has revived the stall archetype in SS OU, thanks to its immense versatility as a blanket wall to typical stallbreakers including Tapu Lele, Kyurem, and Melmetal. It also provides unique utility for stall teams by being able to block U-turn and deny momentum to Tapu Koko and Urshifu-R, which typically annoy common stall structures. Poltergeist gives Shedinja a strong STAB to further pressure Heatran and Clefable, and its non-contact nature makes it a safe option to use throw out early- to mid-game to force damage against an opposing Ferrothorn or Garchomp. Shadow Sneak lets Shedinja pick off faster threats like Dragapult, Zeraora, and Blacephalon, complementing Poltergeist as a high-PP poking tool. A poking tool that pokes at what, and what does poking do for it? Will-O-Wisp gives it a way to punish physical attackers and common switch-ins, like Corviknight or Ferrothorn, while Protect lets Shedinja scout for super effective moves and absorb Future Sight. Swords Dance can optionally be used instead to turn it into a late-game win condition. Shedinja’s polarity as a wall means that you can place it alongside almost any other common stall Pokemon, like Gastrodon, which can handle Fire-types like Heatran and Volcarona well, or Toxapex, which can switch into and force progress with Knock Off, as well as use and Scald vs some of Shedinja’s most safe switch-ins, opposing Toxapex and Clefable. Tuned the wording a bit here so you don't give the impression that Shedinja is deterred by Scald.

It also uses Scald to cripple (I imagine? or would like "bother" be better?) some of Shedinja’s most safe safest switch-ins, opposing Toxapex and Clefable.
