Forcing the use of Shedinja because it
1) walls volt-turn
2) walls dragon spams
3) walls iron head spam

Would greatly appreciate advice!

Politoed
252hp/252atk/ 4def
N:Brave
I:Leftovers
A:Drizzle

-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Protect
-Toxic

Physical politoed to destroy specially defensive ttar and ninetales switch ins. The unexpected earth move allows a 2hko on Toxicroak and Tentacruel. Also obviously decimates Heatran who stay in to sunny day or whatever (suprisingly common)

Lack of ice beam/perish song means dragonite switches in with impunity, however without substitute it takes a toxic and then usually falls to shedinja<->politoed switches and protects

Virizion
252atk/252spd/4def
N:Jolly
I:Chesto Berry
A: Justified

-Swords dance
-Rest
-Stone Edge
-Close combat

Probably the most replacable Pokemon in the team.

Generally very strong against sand though, not much stuff can deal with it when it shrugs off status. My only pure thrump against bliss/chansey

If I'm not battling a team against which I require Virizion to have a resonable chance at beating, its usually a mid-game battering ram to hurt key defensive pokemon, hence opening a late game Tornadus/Starmie sweep

Shedinja
252atk/252spd
N: Adamant
I: Focus Sash
A: Wonder Guard

-Baton pass
-Will O Wisp
-Shadow Sneak
-Protect

Pure ghost glue, immune to everything politoed is weak to and as mentioned above... Really strong against the metagame. Usually I just use baton pass to maintain momentum, other moves are situational:

>Shadow sneak for priority kills and beating latias 1v1 with an intact sash
>Will O wisp against teams with predominantly physical threats
>Protect to increase damage from status-> I try not to use protect to scout a move unless I'm really unsure, as it leaves me vulnerable to a set-up move/ substitute from the opponent's pokemon

Scizor's pursuit is not a threat as I usually BP straight off the bat, nullifying the danger when Scizor switches in, and also if they do face off the max speed puts me at 179 which outspeeds more Scizor sets.

Starmie
252Spatk/252spd/4hp
N:Timid
I: Leftovers
A: Natural cure

-Rapid Spin
-Thunder
-Ice Beam
-Hydro Pump

Offensive starmie- laughs at spin-blockers when rain is up, barring the occasional max spd def Jellicent, and suprisingly hard to switch in. Blissey/chansey switches are usually easy to predict and they end up facing virizion

Ice beam over recover because it makes it > THAT < much harder to switch in on, especially against teams counting on a bulkless Celebi or dragon to wall it

Tornadus
252Spatk/252spd/4hp
N:Timid
I:Choice Specs
A:Prankster

-Hurricane
-Focus Blast
-U-turn
-Tailwind

Tornadus! Destroys 90% of OU under rain, has a 70% chance to destroy stuff in other weather. Tailwind basically allows me to win late games when I sacrifice this and follow up with Starmie.

Provides the necessary brute power to break through bulky offense/semi-stall teams and Tailwind is crucial as a game-saver against pokemon that have managed to set up

Jirachi
252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
M:Careful
I:Leftovers
A:Serene Grace

-Iron Head
-Stealth Rock
-Thunder
-U-turn

One of two crucial rock-type resists and a generally safe switch against Latios. Threatens to start a CM set up, a set so common on rain teams, but instead u-turns out to keep momentum. Paralysis support increases my teams ability to escape pokemon eg. shedinja baton passes out of faster pokemon.

Have huge problems against max spd Jellicent, swords dance+ extremespeed+ crunch Lucario, Hail and hyper-offense when they get to keep their hazards- Usually by the point that I manage to beat their Gengar and rapid spin they are too far ahead for me to catch up. Advise! Please

This will have to be a short rate :( Anyway, kudos for using Shedinja, first of all. The main problems that stand out to me are a huge weakness to Sun teams, as well as some issues facing Terrakion and so on. I'm just going to talk about the Sun thing because everything else can be played around.

So far as I can see, if you can't lure out the opponents Ninetales with physical Toed, you lose to almost all Sun teams. Shedinja, Virizion, and Jirachi all can't do anything, for obvious reasons, while Starmie and Tornadus both get their STAB cut in effectiveness drastically. Standard Chlorophyll abusers also look tricky to play around (although that can be said for most Rain teams, and at least you have Shedinja to wall non-HP Fire versions).

I'd probably just stick some form of Dragonite in over Tornadus. LumDD is especially nice for taking on Sun, CB or even Rain Abuse with Hurricane+ Thunder could also work well.
