[SET COMMENTS]
Shellos serves as a sturdy and reliable defensive Pokémon in the LC metagame thanks to its impressive bulk and access to Recover, giving it great longevity throughout battles. The ability Sticky Hold also prevents Shellos from losing its item to Knock Off, which is valuable in a tier where item removal is common. It can switch into a knock off in front of mons like Vullaby/Mienfoo, punishing them with putting Stealth Rock.
Shellos can make good use of the stab move Scald to punish physical attackers with a burn. Ice Beam can punish mons like Toedscool to not rapid spin for free, Foongus trying switch in and cripple you with a spore, Vullaby and the chance of freezing the enemy. Earth Power is really a good move to hurt many mons in the meta game like: Chinchou, Tinkatink, Glimmet, Elekid, Mareanie, Alo-Sandscrew, Stunky and Shroodle, that freely switch into shellos. The EV spread purely focuses into HP and physical bulk, letting it withstand hits from threats like Shellder, Mudbray, SD Alo-Sandscrew, Stunky and Alo-Diglett.
Tera Poison is a strong defensive option for Shellos because it removes its most important grass weakness, allowing it to safely stay in on threats like Grookey and Foongus. The typing also grants useful resistances to Fighting, letting Shellos better check against Mienfoo. Overall Tera Poison enhances Shellos`s role as a durable defensive pokemon in the LC metagame.

Other Options
Shellos stands out in the LC metagame as a very durable setup Pokémon that can boost both its Defense and Special Defense with Curse and Amnesia. Its combination of bulk, recovery and the item protection from Sticky Hold allows it to stay on the field for a long time. Once it achieves a few boosts, Shellos becomes nearly impossible to break. Tera Poison is the best option for Shellos, it eliminates the weaknesses from Grass and Electric moves, eliminates the possiblity to get poisoned and allows it to set up more safer. The downside of this set comes from the mono attack it gets due the 4 move syndrome. Liquidation is the most popular last move since it can hit the most mons.
