Welcome to my very first RMT! What we have here is a team built around the offensive core of Shift Gear Fairium Z Magearna and SD+Facade Gliscor, and it's been one I've been meaning to post for a long time now. But before I go into detail about the team, I must give credit to my good friend Mamoo who helped me build both this team and many others, and has helped me become both a better teambuilder and a better player. But anyways, let's get right into the team breakdown!

TEAM BREAKDOWN

182860

Magearna @ Fairium Z
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shift Gear
- Thunderbolt
- Fleur Cannon
- Focus Blast
The first member of my offensive core and one of the Pokemon that this entire team is built around. In my opinion, Magearna is one of, if not the single best Pokemon in the OU tier right, and as such, I wanted to use what I thought was one of its best sets. The set itself is pretty self explanatory, with Shift Gear helping it set up, Thunderbolt helping to hit pokemon like Toxapex, Celesteela, and Tapu Fini for super effective damage, Fleur Cannon being the main STAB and the fuel for Fairium Z, and Focus Blast to round out the set, letting it hit Pokemon like Excadrill, Ferrothorn, and Heatran extremely hard. Max Special Attack and Speed EVs let it hit as hard as possible with its attacking moves while also being extremely fast after a Shift Gear. This is my main sweeper, although sometimes it's merely here to help soften up the opposing team for my next Pokemon.

182861

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 44 Def / 108 SpD / 112 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Facade

SD Facade Gliscor is my team's secondary sweeper and main physical threat. What made me choose Gliscor in particular was a few things; the first of those being the sheer role compression that it could offer the team. Not only does it serve as a physical sweeper, but it is a Fighting resist, a Ground immunity, an Electric immunity, a Heatran check, a Toxapex counter, and a soft check to Lando. These defensive capabilities, combined with reliable recovery in both Poison Heal and Roost, means that it can come in multiple times a match and slowly but surely chip away at the opponent's team, helping to soften them up for Magearna. Once again, the set and spread are relatively self explanatory, with Swords Dance to boost its attack, Roost to provide necessary healing, and EQ+Facade giving it great all around coverage and allowing it to break that much more easily.
182863

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 128 SpD / 128 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Defensive Rocks Heatran is my rocker of choice for this team , and one that I think does its job very well. Its typing lets it serve as a nice answer to various pokemon within the tier, such as Serperior, Ferrothorn, non Focus-Blast Torn-T (Be wary of Knock though), Celesteela, Tapu Lele, and Mega Scizor, being able to take their attacks and either set up rocks on them or threaten them with Lava Plume. Once again, the set and spread is self explanatory, as it is the standard set up, although I did opt for Toxic over Taunt to punish pokemon like Mega Latios/as and Volcarona. I've also considered going with the revamped Tran spread with less speed but for now I'm sticking with this one. In general, Heatran forms a pivotal part of this team's defensive core, which consists of it, Gliscor, and one more Pokemon.

182870

Greninja-Ash @ Choice Specs
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Spikes
- Water Shuriken

Being what I consider the 2nd best Pokemon in all of OU, Ash-Gren is the 4th member of my team, and he not only serves as the team's primary wallbreaker, but also a tertiary wincon next to Magearna and Gliscor. I picked him for several key reasons. First, his speed tier is excellent, outspeeding many unboosted pokemon in the tier in both forms, helping to make up for the rest of the team's relative lack of speed thus far. Secondly, Ash Gren's raw power with Specs combined with its dual STAB make it an excellent complement to Magearna and Gliscor, often providing necessary chip on Pokemon like Tapu Fini, Heatran, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and others which Magearna and Gliscor need chipped in order to beat. Its mere presence often also forces switches on my opponent's side, upon which I can either double to an appropriate answer to keep up the pressure, or set up a spike which can serve to weaken the opponent's team to the point where either Magearna, Gliscor, or even Gren itself can break through it. Again, the set and spread is self explanatory, with Hydro and D-pulse as its main STAB, Water Shuriken as an emergency priority move, and Spikes to gain some momentum on the switches it forces, and it's probably one of the most reliable Pokemon on the team.

182873

Tangrowth @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earthquake

Rounding out my defensive core is the one and only Assault Vest Tangrowth. This is mainly meant to check the likes of Ash Gren, Tapu Koko, and Mega Diancie among others. It's about as basic a defensive pivot as you can really get, with Giga Drain being the main STAB move, Knock off providing necessary utility, Earthquake hitting pokemon like Tapu Koko and Heatran really hard, and HP Fire to hit Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Kartana, and Mega Scizor. Actually, Kartana is the reason why I opted for HP Fire over HP Ice, since I felt like I was too weak to Kartana. However, I have also considered slotting HP Ice back in to better deal with Gliscor and Garchomp, as well as perhaps Sludge Bomb to deal with the likes of Tapu Koko and Tapu Bulu that much better, but for now this is how I'm keeping the set. It's really just meant to be thrown in against the things it checks, click Knock Off to cripple the opponent for a Magearna/Gliscor sweep, and then switch out to get back some HP. Not much else to say.

182874

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk / 68 Def / 208 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Defog
Rounding out the team is everyone's favorite Jack of All Trades, Landorus-Therian. I picked him for my final slot because of the sheer role compression he provided, not only being the team's defogger but also main form of speed control, secondary Electric and Ground resist, defensive and offensive pivot, Hawlucha "check", Mega Zam check, Mega Pinsir check (for all that's worth), and quaternary wincon. The set and spread itself is the newest spread, with 68 Def EVs there to live +2 Lucha Acro from full, 208 speed to outspeed +1 Kommo'o, and the rest dumped into Attack to make it as strong as possible. EQ is its main STAB, U-turn helps provide necessary momentum, Stone Edge blows back pokemon like Torn-T, Zard-Y and Zapdos on the switch, and Defog clears away hazards. I have considered slotting in Explosion or HP Ice over Edge to better deal with Pokemon like Lucha, opposing Landos, and Gliscor respectively. Its' main role in most battles is to usually do some revenge killing, get off an emergency defog, or provide an easy pivot into one of my other team members.

THREATS

182875
: If this thing comes in, it can click buttons against my entire team and guarantee at least one kill. My best ways of beating this are either with Gren, catching it on the switch with Fleur/Twinkle Tackle, or revenge killing it with Lando-T. It also can't come in on a lot of attacks from my team, meaning that it rarely comes in for free.

182876
: If this thing gets a DD up, it's getting at least one kill. Gliscor can possibly take a +1 hit from full and kill with EQ, or even a neutral Blitz and either kill it if rocks are up, or put it in Shuriken range from Gren if there aren't. Lando can also come in on +1/+1 Zard and take a l Flare Blitz after Intimidate , although it dies to the next one. If rocks are up, it does get in range of a Shuriken from Gren after killing Lando this way. Also, if it tries to DD in Magearna's face, Mag can kill it with Z-fleur, although this does require my opponent to choke. Any way you slice it, this thing is a massive threat to my team and will require a sack or god tier outplaying to beat.

182878
: While it isn't as big a threat to my team as Zard-X, Zard Y is really nasty to face regardless. Fire Blast/Solar Beam/Focus Blast hits my entire team ridiculously hard My best bet here is either hitting it with Edge from Scarf Lando, somehow chipping it enough to get into range of Gren's Hydro Pump, or playing incredibly agressively to never let it in in the first place.

182879
182880
: Rain is probably one of the worst matchups this team has. The combination of Pert+Torn absolutely destroys my entire team, and Pert alone can auto-win if Tang is either dead or chipped enough. The only way I win this matchup is with Tang+Gren, who can do a surprising amount of work if played right. Even still, more often than not, I just get overwhelmed by Rain offense.

182881
: This thing just wins if it sets up. Lando can lower its attack with Intimidate but not really do much back, Gliscor can take a +2 Acro but again, doesn't do much back, and the rest of the team folds to +2 HJK + Acro. My best shot at winning is either catching it on the switch with Magearna, chipping it into Shuriken range with Lando+Gliscor (Even then if it has Roost this is a no go), or somehow, somehow toxicing/burning it with Heatran if for whatever reason the Lucha user tries to set up.

182882
: QD+Hp Ground can win pretty easily if it sets up. But if it doesn't have HP Ground, then it loses to Heatran. Even then, Tran can live a +1 HP Ground (50% chance to after Rocks) and Toxic it. Once Tran dies and if rocks aren't up on my side of the field but Volc had switched into rocks before, Gliscor can potentially tank a +1 Fire Blast from full and kill with EQ. However, if rocks are up on my side as well, I have to sack Gliscor, let Volc take another round of Toxic damage, and then revenge kill with Gren shuriken. If Rocks weren't up on their side of the field when Volc came in however, then it's just flat out GG.

Play-testing the team has been a lot of fun but I admit that it's far from polished.
Feel free to play-test yourselves & let us know what yo think.
Any feedback to help improve & fill the holes this team has would be much appreciated.
