Shocking, Honey!

I wanted to create a team based on Heracross. What Heracross needed to sweep seemed to me as paralyzed pokemon all over the opposition's team, as his speed is not that great.

Team Building Process:

A team based on heracross isn't complete without Heracross, is it? I went for a Swords Dance sweeper set.

I wanted some pokemon to spread paralysis and Jirachi and Togekiss seemed perfect. and they are, they support each other well and counter many pokemon brilliantly. flinchhax is also awesome.

I then wanted a spinner, as repeated switches(especially for Togekiss are a problem) and Starmie can also spread Paralysis, so I chose it.

I then wanted a special sweeper, I absolutely love shaymin, people think it's weak or useless. But they get surprised when a seed flare runs over their pokemon, It is just an awesome pokemon. went with a growth special sweeper set.

I chose Aerodactyl as my lead, as it could set and prevent stealth rock, and get the occasional kill.

Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Aerodactyl is a pretty good lead, it can set and prevent Stealth Rock all the time. and it can put down some leads as well. But I don't mind changing it as I don't really find it THAT useful.

Sash is always helpful, but pokemon like infernape and Metagross screw it over. I need help on a better lead for my team.

Testing: Heatran, Gallade

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Seed Flare
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Growth

Shaymin is just epic, it provides power, speed, and unpredictability. Most expect a leech seeder, but they get a nasty surprise when Seed Flare destroys them. and Dragonites that switch in get OHKOed by HP Ice. Earth Power destroys steels and Heatran, unscarfed ones that is.

Usually I growth but it's powerful enough without using it. But after a growth, even powerful special tanks(besides blissey) have problems surviving its attacks.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 116 HP/252 Spd/140 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Thunder Wave
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Starmie is great for my team, it can spread paralysis, spin away rocks and spikes, and do some damage. Surf is for STAB and power against fires and such, while HP Fire is purely for Scizor, which gives my team headaches. Welcome to changes of Pokemon or moveset.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Iron Head
- Fire Punch
- Thunderpunch

I've loved Jirachi ever since Gen 3, and I rarely make teams without it, as it has SO many wonderful uses. Thunder Wave spreads paralysis which my team loves, while Iron Head provides the oh so lovely flinchhax. Leftovers is for some extra survivability. Fire Punch is for Scizor and forry. and Thunderpunch beats waters that trouble this set, especially Gyarados.

Testing: Sub/Body Slam and a different EV spread.

Togekiss (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 160 HP/252 Spd/96 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Thunder Wave
- Roost

Togekiss is a pokemon people love to hate. It spreads paralysis very well, and can flinchhax amazingly. Roost for survivability and Leftovers adds to that. Air Slash for STAB and flinchhax, Aura Sphere for coverage and Tyranitar. Togekiss has flinchhaxed me entire games, and I really feel it is one of the components of the team that are just crucial.

Heracross (M) @ Wide Lens
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance

The star of the show, rarely helps the team. It's not really that good, and i can't find a good replacement. But the premise is to swords dance on something guaranteed to switch out, and since most of the opponent's team should be para'd it should be a clean sweep. with wide lens helping the probability of stone edge and megahorn working. but hera either doesn't get a chance to fight, or does horribly. Welcome to change.

I have troubles with Infernape(sometimes), Metagross(sometimes), Scarf Magnezone, Scarf Tran, Scizor and Blissey. but there might be others.

I'm welcome to change, but I really want to keep Togekiss, Jirachi and Shaymin as they all excel in providing their job and much much more. anything else is welcome to change. and hopefully you can help me get a sweeper that benefits from TWave and possibly better statusers? I also need a better lead.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Okay, you have some pretty bad weakness's here. 3 x2 too Fire Electric and Ice.
So, to counter this, I would switch your lead Aerodactyl to a lead Heatran.
It would give you a fire immunity, Ice Resist, and one less electric weakness.
You can do either a SR or a specs lead. you realy don't need a taunt lead along with a rapid spinner. Hope this helps.

When I ran a paralysis team I used a Gallade lead with TWave/Encore/CC/Zen Headbutt, it worked out well for its purpose.

Just a quick Rate...

Nice looking team. Just a small change which may benefit you.

Grounds and electric benefactors (Jolt' and 'Vire) are getting alot of free switches and enjoy what they can do to your team. You can rectify this to some degree by using a standard Sub/Paraflinch Jirachi:

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 164 HP / 168 Atk / 176 Spe

~ Substitute
~ Body Slam
~ Iron Head
~ Fire Punch

Using Body Slam < Thunder Wave gives a distinct advantage when facing the aforementioned pokes and effectively builds up residual damage while paralysing whatever switches in to take on your sub. Long story short... predict the switch or come in on scizors bullet punch etc. Get the sub up and enjoy both a 60% paralysis and flinch rate. Flygon, Swampert and even standard counters such as Magnezone can be caught off guard at times.

Good luck with the team and apologies about the short rate, but the Financial Services Authority will crumble without their Tech support..
