Shoddy Battle Team!

I've made this team just last night and testing it today it is currently, 4-3, so here it is:

Ambipom@Leftovers

Timid

EVs: 4 SpA/252 Spe/252 HP

~Baton Pass
~Swift
~Taunt
~Nasty Plot

I use this as my lead and so far it's proven in some of the 7 battles I've had so far to be be somewhat useful. It is able to get one Nasty Plot up or if I know the opponent is not going to attack I just use Taunt. I then Baton Pass the NP boost to Dragonite who will then use Draco Meteor where only the NP boost will be nullified managing to net at least one kill for Dragonite. Opponents I've found to be troublesome for Ambipom are Choice Scarf users who hit hard such as Flygon.

Dragonite@Choice Scarf

Naughty

EVs: 74 SpA/184 Spe/252 Atk.

~Draco Meteor
~Outrage
~Earthquake
~Fire Blast

This is my revenge killer for the team, he's the main reason for me having four wins so far. The only problem I've found when using him is that he isn't that bulky, kind of like a glass cannon sort of. Outrage and Draco Meteor are for powerful STAB moves that hurt quite a bit and Earthquake is for more coverage. I was thinking about replacing Fire Blast with something, perhaps Flamethrower as the accuracy that comes with Fire Blast could screw me over at crucial moments.

Gengar@Choice Specs

Timid

EVs: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe

~Focus Blast
~Shadow Ball
~Thunderbolt
~Trick

This is my pure special sweeper and he has proven his usefulness by netting some KOs on the opponents' side of the field. I don't really see the usefulness in Trick so I'm going to try and replace it with something but, I don't know what.

infernape.png

Infernape@Life Orb

Naive

EVs: 24 Atk./232 Spe/252 SpA

~HP Ice
~Close Combat
~Flamethrower
~Grass Knot

MixApe, what he brings to the team is some more coverage but Fighting is covered already with Gengars' Focus Blast but his fighting move is more accurate with the downside of weakened defenses after each use. Fire is also already covered by Dragonites' Fire Blast but, again accuracy issues arise. The other moves are for coverage mainly, he hasn't really netted any KOs, mostly the opponent was the one KO'ing him.

mamoswine.png

Mamoswine@Choice Band

Adamant

EVs: 64 HP/192 Spe/252 Atk.

~Ice Shard
~Ice Fang
~Earthquake
~Stone Edge

Another physical sweeper for the team, his downside is his speed but he makes up for that with Ice Shard. This move has proven itself in many crucial moments where if I didn't have it I probably would've lost. I don't really see the point in having two ice moves when he only really needs one. Plus the fact that one of the Ice moves(Ice Fang), happens to be inaccurate at the worst times. This usually spells the end for Mamoswine if he's up against an opponent who can KO him but is faster than the opponent, uses Ice Fang, it misses and the opponent KOs you. Stone Edge is also another inaccurate move but the power is needed to net some KOs for Mamoswine, and Earthquake for STAB.

jirachi.png

Jirachi@Choice Specs

Timid

EVs: 80 HP/176 Spe/252 SpA

~HP Ground
~Psychic
~Thunderbolt
~U-Turn

The star of the show, this is also another one of the main reasons for me having more wins than losses currently. Brings pain to those that think they can KO it easily. Though it has been KO'ed in one fell swoop from Mamoswines' EQs and Tyranitars' EQs as well.

So that's my team in its' entirety, please rate as best as you guys can thanks for taking the time to read the teams' explanation.

I reccomend changing your Dragonite to a Salamence. It does exactly what Nite does better. If you want to use Dragonite, add Superpower over Earthquake.

just stopping by to say that you dont really need Ice Fang on Mamo
It learns SuperPower now, so that might be something to consider for coverage.

Okay, thanks Markizzle I hadn't even seen that Mamoswine could learn Superpower but the only downside to that is that you'll get a decrease in Attack and Defense so that could hurt in a battle.

OK dokey well let's start off. I do like the opening strategy with Dragonite and Ambipom, +2 Scarf Meteor will hurt a lot, but I do suggest changing Dragonite for Salamence, I agree with the user Valantaro, Salamence will do the job 100% better than dragonite. Be carfeul though as this plan will be spoiled by Suicide leads who are still pretty common Place, you could try Fake Out > Swift to break their Sash, and then hope they dont pick up on what you're doing and Taunt, a lot dont have it any more, but still you run the risk of them setting up rocks if you dont Taunt them, or even them exploding and ruining the strategy straight away, just something to keep in mind.

Long time since I've seen Specs Gengar, but boy does it hit hard, Trick will help against Blissey and Snorlax, but so will Explosion. With the Specs or other unboosted Explosions, assuming a Naive Nature you will be doing 77-90% to Calm Blissey and 57-67% to Adamant Standard Snorlax, assuming no curses of course. So if you want Gengar to go out with a Bang (pun intended) then Explosion will definately help. HP Ice will help against Dragons but you wont have a chance against DDers unless running Scarf. You have Mence (Dragonite) to revenge kill DDMence I guess, but make sure you make Mence Naughty with at least 140 Spe EVs to outrun Standard DD Mence after a DD.

You also sound like you want Mix Life Orb Mamo, It will deal with that Hippowdon which may give you trouble some of the time, I would also go with Naive nature for the ability to outspeed things like Neutral Lucario who it always nice not to have to switch out on. So basically I am suggesting switching Choice Band to Life Orb and Running Blizzard or Ice Beam > Ice Faang which you seem to think is a little redundant.

So thats for the individual mons, but I also think we should take a look at the overall synergy of the team too. One thing you might want to do is lead with Mence, and then maintain Ambipom as an Agili Passer, perhaps you could slap Life orb on Salamence and call it a mixed Sweeper, one it gets passed an agility (and perhaps a Nasty Plot too), there will be little to stop it. I worry also about your Suicune weak, I suggest running some more bulk + trick on Jirachi which will allow you to trick a choice Item onto it, either locking it into calm mind or a move that you can easily play around. That will clear up that problem,. the same goes for things liek CM Bro, infact a well timed trick is enough to annoy any set up sweeper. You might want to change it to a scarf as well, CM Cune will like reciving Specs, but Scarf not so much. If you run Scarf on Jirachi it will also allow you to outrun Scarf Tran and KO with HP Ground. Just a few suggestions, hope some of them helped :D
