Hello there.

This is my latest (and first) RMT on Smogon. Before I start, I want to lay down a few ground rules for my RMTs (You may have a rules thread, but I feel the need to state these). I will list them out for your convenience (or inconvenience, whichever way you view it).

  1. Don't be scathing to the extreme: This includes having a tone to your post as if you are making an angry rant. Being so scathing does not benefit people or contribute anything, it if anything makes people less willing to listen to what you have to say.
  2. Do not suggest completely bog-standard move sets or EV Spreads: Standard is nice and all, but show more variation. I want to see your own thoughts, not stuff you pulled and/or have learned from the Strategy Pokédex.
I have used this team for a number of battles. No wins, but some games came mighty close to victory due to good prediction or luck. However, that does not change the fact this has had no victories yet.

Now with that out of the way, here we go.

Team Shoddy: K.S.I. 2

We will start with the Support Lead: Jolteon

135.png

Jolteon @ Lum Berry
Timid Nature
EVs: 116 HP/ 130 Def/ 100 Sp.Def/ 160 Spd
-Magnet Rise
-Baton Pass
-Yawn
-Agility

Basically Jolteon is a Speed Passer, he also has Yawn and Magnet Rise. EQ is a common move in OU, so Magnet Rise is an essential set-up tool to ensure that EQ isn't used on the Pokemon he passes to, resulting in a pre-mature KO. HP and Defensive EVs are to give him more bulk, he can survive a few attacks, but not too many. Yawn is there in attempt to force a switch.

Now, next up is a Revenge Kill Sweeper.
57.png

Scar (Primeape) @ Muscle Band
Hasty Nature
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 92 HP/ 110 Atk/ 156 Sp.Atk/ 82 Sp.Def/ 60 Spd
-Overheat
-Taunt
-Ice Punch
-Cross Chop

Primeape is a good Revenge Killer, despite what Infernape may have on him. In Standard settings, Primeape can't take much abuse from the Physical end of things, but a mite bit more from the Special. However, his Base Speed gives him a good advantage when no faced with Pokemon of higher Base Speeds or Priority moves.

Primeape will be brought in on a kill to ensure revenge is taken, if he had the correct attack for it. His moveset covers quite a few times. To name them, he covers Grass, Rock, Steel, Bug, Flying and Dark. Not bad coverage really. If brought in as a RK, he can take out Scizor with one Overheat to the 2HKO required to defeat him with Bullet Punch. He can also put down Tyranitar if the opponent doesn't switch him out.

Now for #3 on the list: Curselix
208.png

Goldar (Steelix) @ Passho Berry
Sassy Nature
Ability:Rock Head
EVs: 38 HP/ 218 Atk/ 78 Def/ 176 Sp.Def
-Curse
-Gyro Ball
-Payback
-Thunder Fang

This is your basic Curselix, Curse and Gyro Ball accompanied by a move for type coverage, and hopefully neutral damage. This guy however, has alot of problems. Depsite his high Defense Stat, he can still be downed, and the sluggishness with this makes using him Unruly unless the situation makes things favorable for him.

Next is #4: Honchkrow
430.png

Honchkrow @ Scope Lens
Lax Nature
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 76 HP/ 202 Atk/ 28 Def/ 204 Spd
-Night Slash
-Shadow Ball
-Calm Mind
-Air Cutter
A Calm Mind Honchkrow? Afraid so, Calm Mind raises Sp.Def and Sp.Atk of course, but with Shadow Ball, he doesn't have much to do with it. He mainly focuses on the prospect of Critical Hits on Pokemon he can KO easily, but nothing short of Mean Look, Block, etc is going to grant him that. So he doesn't see much success.

Here is #5: Vespiquen.
416.png

Vespiquen @ WiseGlasses
Modest Nature
EVs: 144 Def/ 220 Sp.Atk/ 144 Sp.Def/ 2 Spd
-Destiny Bond/ ???
-HP Dragon
-Heal Order
-Signal Beam

The queen bee of Bug Pokemon here is a Special Sweeper. Here Offensive and Defensive stats are quite high, high enough to that her Sp.Def matches her Sp.Attack. HP Dragon is there mostly for neutral damage, but I am thinking of changing that to Ice, the only other "good" Special Move she learns is Ominous Wind, Swift, Air Cutter, Power Gem, and in some cases: Snore.

Signal Beam for STAB, Heal Order is for healing of course, and Destiny Bond is sort of just there in hopes the Opponent uses Trick Room or a slower Pokemon. I would like replacing it.

Now finally is the last Pokemon: Cloyster.
91.png

Dreadnaught (Cloyster) @ Nevermeltice/ ???
Impish Nature
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 36 HP/ 124 Atk/ 154 Def/ 100 Sp.Def/ 96 Spd
-Screech
-Icicle Spear
-Rock Blast
-Bubblebeam

Cloyster, Cloyster, Cloyster. Why the heck am I using Cloyster of all things. Well, for one thing, his first rate Physical Defense stat, topping out at 504 at maximum IVs and EVs. His respectable Attack stat is another reason I use him. Rock Blast is a move most other Ice types do not carry, so this is a bonus for him. Skill Link brings the damage to maximum on both Icicle Spear and Rock Blast, and if somehow given the chance, can OHKO Salamence with Icicle Spear in three hits. Nevermeltice makes the damage produced even higher on Icicle Spear.

Despite this, he is still susceptible to Eletric, Steel, and Ground-Types. The presence of Bubblebeam doesn't really help matters all that much. He is also one of the recipients of Agility and Magnet Rise.

That is my team, thank you for taking the time to read through this, and happy rating to you.

RMT rules said:
15. As a site dedicated to competitive battling, we request that your team is as competitive as possible within its given metagame. In-game teams and gimmick teams will be closed. Battle Tower teams are permitted. "Theme Teams" are also OK as long as they demonstrate an understanding of the competitive metagame they are to be used in.

I'm sorry but most of your Pokemon and movesets are, at least, gimmick especially for the OU standard metagame. Also, the various slashes and question marks lead me to think that you didn't even test this team.
