Shoddy RMT (OU)

Well to be honest, I mainly just put teams together and see how they work. I do try to avoid large weaknesses and sometimes they work, other times...not so much. Here is a team who has been working pretty well for me lately, but I feel it could do better. I brought it here because I have confidence in the raters here at Smogon. =D
(Changes in bold)

Metagross @ occa berry
Ability: Clear Body
Evs: 252 Hp/236 Atk/12 Def/8 Spd
Nature: Adamant
-bullet punch
-explosion
-meteor mash
-stealth rock

* Very reliable lead. Always gets rocks up and beats most other leads. Attacks on faster taunters to finish them off with a combination of meteor mash and BP. I'm already up 1. I have rocks up and they dont.*

Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Evs: 4 Hp/ 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd
Nature: Timid
-discharge
-shadow ball
-overheat
-trick

*Works well. It revenges kills things like DD gyarados who seems to give me a problem. Timid for max speed; revenge killing potential. I love all of his resistances. A great counetr to scizor and the common special wall switch-ins (uses trick).*

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Evs: 252 Hp/224 Def / 32 Spd
Nature: Impish
-Dragon Dance
-waterfall
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

* I am not real sure about this one. I am thinking about changing him. He doesn't seem to do much for this team except for absorb sleep. He is limited to one move and still killed easily by faster electric types. ex: jolteon*

Heatran @ Choice scarf
Ability: Flash fire
Evs: 4 Hp/ 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd
Nature: Naive
-Fire Blast
-Hidden power (ice)
-explosion
-earth power

* Revenge killer and a great one at that. I love this thing. He has pulled me out of some tight spots and actually won the game for me. Speed> power imo for a revenge killer like heatran. He still has high SAtk and high BP moves to throw at the opposing team so... I always watch for enemy tran before I fire off my FB because that is never good for anyone playing against a flash fire boosted tran; especially a scarfed one. When wore down, explosion always takes something down. Love him.*

Latias @ Life orb
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
Evs: 4 Hp/ 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd
-draco meteor
-surf
-thunderbolt
-recover

*Also a very powerful pokemon. Works well at scaring things off and hitting with hard moves. Steels switch in expecting set up on a specs DM(heatran), but eat a LO surf. Not real sure how much it's helping me at the moment.*

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sandstream
Evs: 176 Hp/ 252 SAtk/ 80 Speed
Nature: Adamant
-Stone edge
-Aqua tail
-crunch
-pursuit

* Scares alot of things. Blissey takes alot from pursuit. A great ware down to other teams. Switch in on something that is forced to switch and kill it or take a big chunk of it's Hp from pursuit. If they are brave enough to stay in they will receive another powerful attack from this beast.*

Well, there is my team and I hope I did an adequete job describing it. It's just begging for help and I know it can get it here. One more thing, if it helps... It has trouble with a sub/agility/petaya empoleon. I wa slooking for a counter maybe in the place of gyarados. Not real sure beacuse he is not all that common. Well, rate away!

Some comments:

Metagross: If you are running Occa Berry, it is so that you can beat opposing Fire Leads, namely Heatran and Infernape. However, with your given moveset you have a hard time taking advantage of that half damage from fire, as you non-explosion moves are resisted by Fire Pokemon. I'd suggest dropping either Explosion or Meteor Mash for Earthquake.

Dusknoir: Sucker Punch sounds good on paper, but honestly Shadow Sneak is probably better. It's only 60 Base Power (with STAB taken into account) instead of 80, but it can be used even when they don't attack, which stops your opponent from sending in something that doesn't really fear Focus Punch or Fire Punch (Gyarados, most Cursers, many Latias, Salamence) and setting up on you.

Gyarados: Earthquake provides better coverage and a stronger overall attack than Ice Fang does. The only thing you lose is your strongest attack against Celebi and coverage on Breloom, but for the most part you should be switching out of those Pokemon anyways.

Heatran: Naive beats out Timid when you run Explosion, nothing else to say here.

Latias: I feel like Substitute should be Recover/Roost instead to add to your survivability. As it stands, Sub will let you beat Blissey easier, but just about anything else will be able to wear you down a lot easier. Especially since Sandstorm will be present about half the time, you can't rely on leftovers for your recovery, so SR damage, switch-in damage, and Substitute will really start to rack up, making it hard to get CMs in.

Jolteon: If you want a sure-fire DD Gyarados counter, I'm going to suggest my favorite - Scarfed Rotom-H. 252 Speed and Jolly lets him outspeed every +1 Gyarados as well as things like Scarfed Heatran and just about anything unscarfed. 252 Special Attack EVs means he has a guaranteed OHKO on Gyarados with your choice of Discharge or Thunderbolt and a guaranteed OHKO on Scizor and Lucario with Overheat. He also resists anything Scizor can throw at him besides the rare pursuit (which he can't hit you with on the switch-in anyways), and resists Lucario's Bullet Punch, ExtremeSpeed, and Close Combat, making him a surefire counter for all of these Pokemon. For your final moves, Trick is an excellent choice, as it can screw up the common Blissey Switch-in. Your last move is the only toss up. Shadow Ball provides perfect coverage and an alternate STAB. HP Ice is your best option against Flygon, Gliscor, and Salamence. HP Grass hits Swampert and Rhyperior. HP Fighting can 2HKO Heatran and Tyranitar. HP Ground is your best option against Heatran and can hit a number of other things very well. It's up to you and what your team needs to beat.

Tran's nature was supposed 2 be naive but I put timid on here XD. I like the rotom idea, mainly because of it's effectiveness aginst lucario and I've never used one. I'll test some of thee and see what happens. I use the occa and 2 steel moves because ape and tran arent very common leads for me and I usually set up and switch on them. Also, don't you mean timid on Rotom-H? Thankyou so much!

Hello Flamewheeler.

First of all, the most expendable Pokemon on your team seems to be Dusnkoir, while the most prominent of threat you've mentioned is Agility Empoleon. The two, unfortunately, are not really really interchangeable inderectly; you'll usually have to play around Empoleon to find the opportunity to beat it. One way to do this is to make it harder for it to set up. Latias cannot touch it currently, so the obvious choice is changing her moveset to reflect this. By adding in Thunderbolt, you aren't so easily set up on, plus you can afford to go less offensive on Gyarados with Latias' inclusion of Life Orb. A set looking something like

Latias @ Life Orb
Timid - Levitate
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Draco Meteor
Surf
Thunderbolt
Recover

will serve you well. However, should you wish to keep Calm Mind, I would advise you in going with at least a more offensive set (it's a bit hard to comment on Latias considering you didn't list a nature) so that you are not so easily set up upon, as you seemed to mention. Currently, you also have a bit of a problem with well-built Stall. With Latias' conversion to a more offensive build, and your relying on Gyarados to take hits from many otherwise troublesome sweepers like Heracross and Infernape, a RestTalk set would do you well. The standard RestTalk+DD (defensive) set is the one I am leaning towards. This will not only allow it to outlast death from prime enemy sweepers, but also allow you to have somewhat a chance versus stall. The spread I am leaning towards is 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spe. This spread allows you to hit 309 Speed after a Dragon Dance, allowing you to outspeed +nature base 90 Speed Pokémon, as well almost all defensive variants of Zapdos that you will see.

In Dusknoir's place, I recommend a Pokemon that can switch into Blissey similarly, while still retain the offensive presence needed to keep you on top. Some good possible candidates are Scizor, whose Choice Band set could also save this fairly offensive team in a tight situation with Bullet Punch, and can also trap and weaken Blissey with Pursuit, or one of assorted Fighting-types that could get a free switch and deal directly with her then-and-there. Although Tyranitar is an almost perfect choice for this slot, it will clash with Jolteon, who will be worn down very easily with Sandstorm present. The last issue I have with this team, as you can readily tell, is Jolteon. Running Choice Specs would not only add extra power, but also allow it a bit more survivability, making CBTar all the more viable. If you decide on Specs, Tyranitar is probably the way to go. One thing; if you decide you like Jolteon how it is, try changing the last slot with Charge Beam to boost power rather than try to stay alive longer. Another option is another Scarfed Electric-type like Magnezone or one of the Rotom-formes.

Thanks and good luck. I hope you read over my response and make changes helping the team! Ask me anything if you have any questions.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I can't wait to try them out. My team fell apart today and got beat time after time. It was upsetting, but hopefully this saves it.

I personally think a Hasty nature would serve you well on your Heatran (-Def, +Spe) over Naive, as it allows you more switch in opportunities versus Special Dragons and assorted special attackers like Gengar, which your team seems to have more trouble with than physical. Normally Naive is used to survive things/take less damage from Scizor's attacks and random locked-Outrages. However, through Gyarados and Intimidate in general I'm sure you will find these less threatening than the alternative.

Anyway, if you find yourself in a slump or can't seem to pull out a win, I find it best to simply take a break or try another tier for a while. Maybe sign up for the tutor program? Good luck with the team and welcome to Smogon.

Fix up the new set comments or I'll lock/infract. Thanks.
