Hey everyone! This is gonna be a full, drawn out RMT so excuse any spelling errors simply due to length and the fact that I am just too damn lazy. So, without further ado, here is:
MUNGE BIMP
THE NAME ALONE FILLS YOU WITH TERROR
So here's a sneaky peaky:
And we'll go in that order, so first up is:
Spudge Funker/NINJASK @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
Role: Lead/Booster
Nature: Jolly
EV Spread: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 4 HP
Moveset: Swords Dance, Baton Pass, Protect, Toxic
Spudge is a real funker. I lead with him because rocks ruins his sash strategy. Spudge is designed to get a guaranteed 2 speed boosts and one Swords Dance, and then baton pass in whatever benefits most. Toxic is used when I predict someone setting up spikes or also boosting. He's pretty much a straight forward baton passer who helps everyone on my team except Greninja and Noivern, and the speed still is okay to give them. Also, if someone is leading with something like Cloyster and laying spikes, I can get 2-3 Sword Dances in and switch in with basically impunity because, let's face it, spikes aren't scary. Moving on...
Next up is:
Drippy Spaff/GRENINJA @ Expert Belt
(he's shiny but idgaf)
Ability: Protean
Role: Sweeper/Opprotunity Hitter
Nature: Timid
EV Spread: 252 SpA, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moveset: Ice Beam, Scald, HP Fire, Dark Pulse
I'm gonna lay it right out: Spaff wins me battles. Finisher dragon types go bye-bye, annoying Ferrothorns die, and Infernape is outsped and becomes chum for this frog ninja spaff guy. HP fire isn't ran a whole lot on Gren, but I think it makes sense just because Ferrothorn is evil, and it gives me a good surprise to any Venusaur walls or grass types in general. By opportunity hitter, I mean that I switch him when I need a super effective move on a wall. Enough about spaffer though, let's move on to:
Gash Hinge/NOIVERN @ Wide Lens
Ability: Infiltrator
Role: Sweep/Anti-Baton-Pass
Nature: Modest
EV Spread: 252 Speed, 252 Special Attack, 4 HP
Moveset: Boomburst, Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Focus Blast
Hinge is probably going to be the most contested member of my team, but I love him. He has... not great speed, but it gets the job done. I opted for dragon pulse instead of draco meteor because I don't want him switching into rocks all the time, as he is a flying type. Flamethrower was simply because I needed some fire moves on my team. Wide Lens is to help out Focus Blast. This guy can come in with the right time and just murder left and right. Infiltrator is simply to counter any substitute resistance, especially baton pass Scolipede leads. But enough about him, here's the lowdown on:
Faffy Waffle/INFERNAPE @ Expert Belt
Ability: Iron Fist
Role: Straight up physical sweeper.
Nature: Jolly
EV Spread: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 4 HP
Moveset: Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Dual Chop, Poison Jab
Waffle may be my favorite member of the team. He is very frail, but who cares? He is a flaming monkey, goddamn it. All moves are coverage, and Dual Chop is my super special surprise to dragons. Almost no fairy except Granbull can tank a poison jab from this dude. Granbull would just barely eke it out, too. I don't really have much to explain with him. He is what he is, take him or leave him. Now we're on to:
Gog Noggler/DEOXYS-D @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Pressure
Role: Straight Wall
Nature: Bold
EV Spread: 252 both defenses, 4 HP
Moveset: Rest, Recycle, Toxic, Cosmic Power
The Nogster's only purpose is to be an annoying troll poke that is nigh unkillable, and certainly can't be OHKO'd. The strategy is simple, and evil. Jump in, spam Cosmic Power, Rest, Recycle, Toxic, Repeat. It's base 90 speed is amazing for a wall, so I sometimes get cosmic power boosts before I am attacked. Someone asked me today why it has Chesto Berry instead of Lum. The reason is so that it doesn't get toxic poisoned and then heal and force me to recycle again before resting. My team goes by the rule of best for last, so here is the best my team is founded upon:
Blenge Squelch/MIENSHAO @ Focus Sash
Ability: Regenerator
Role: TRUMP CARD
Nature: Naïve
EV Spread: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moveset: Poison Jab, Knock Off, Stone Edge, Reversal
This gal will change the metagame if enough people notice. It has a great movepool of coverage moves, but may be the best reversal user EVER. It is easy to use, too. If someone uses fake out, IMMEDIATELY SWITCH. Regen will make you able to use sash again. Your goal is to get to 1 HP. Then reversal gets to like 200 power or something ridiculous. I'm actually starting to think about using Sturdy, Scarfed Sawk to fill this role, but right now Mienshao is working well with its base 105 speed and 125 attack. Squelch literally sweeps entire teams, and also OHKO's a butt ton of psychic types.
So there you have it, folks, my first legit RMT. Please comment anything you feel may help me move forward and dominate Showdown! OU. Thanks for reading!
