Silvally-Dragon finds a unique niche in its combination of good defensive typing, letting it take on threats such as Silvally-Water and Rapidash, and potent set of coverage options that lets it easily sweep weakened teams. Swords Dance allows Silvally-Dragon to function as both a wallbreaker and a sweeper, being able to force damage onto physical walls such as Cofagrigus and Sandaconda or sweep once they're weakened. Much of its strength is tied to its STAB Multi-Attack, which functions as a no-drawback Outrage and is easily paired with Flame Charge and Iron Head to offer perfect coverage, with Iron Head being able to OHKO specially defensive Clefairy and offensive Alcremie after a Swords Dance.

Because Silvally-Dragon does such a good job of checking Silvally-Water and Fire-types such as Silvally-Fire and Rapidash, teammates such as Sandaconda, Piloswine, and Rapidash work well with it. Additionally, Stealth Rock support from Sandaconda and Piloswine help to put Alcremie and enemy Sandaconda in range of +2 Iron Head and Multi-Attack, respectively, with Garbodor fulfilling a similar function with Spikes. Nasty Plot Toxicroak makes an excellent partner, as it is able to threaten physical walls such as Cofagrigus and Sandaconda, while physical sets can wear down Sandaconda and Cofagrigus with Knock Off. Other Fighting-types such as Sawk can also help to weaken Fairy-types and physical walls. Due to Silvally-Dragon's defensive typing and good coverage, it fits naturally onto hyper offense team styles, working especially well with Aurora Veil Abomasnow.

Silvally-Dragon finds a unique niche in its combination of good defensive typing, letting it take on threats such as Silvally-Water and Rapidash, as well as a potent set of coverage options that let it easily sweep weakened teams. Much of its strength is tied to its main STAB attack, Multiattack Multi-Attack, which functions as essentially a no-drawback Outrage, and is easily paired with Flame Charge and Iron Head to offer essentially (pretty sure it just is perfect coverage, unless I'm forgetting something) perfect coverage. Swords Dance is the final piece of the puzzle and means that it can easily break through many of NU's walls, KOing any Sandaconda below 75% as well as standard Clefairy. Maximum Speed and Attack with a Jolly nature ensure that it can outrun most of the NU metagame even before using Flame Charge, and almost everything barring Scarf Togedemaru afterwards.(fluff)

Because Silvally-Dragon does such a good job at checking Silvally-Water (do we generalize this to Water-types as a whole? or maybe expand it to Fire-types too and list another teammate that benefits from it handling those), teammates such as Sandaconda, Piloswine, and Rapidash work well with it. Additionally Stealth Rock support from Sandaconda and Piloswine help to put Alcremie and enemy Sandaconda into range at +2, with Garbodor fulfilling a similar function, and Fighting types such as Sawk and Toxicroak can help to pressure shared checks. (a comment about it going well on hyper offense would be good; Dragon gives those teams a nice bit of defensive utility, and naturally Aurora Veil support from Abomasnow is great)
