[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance turns Silvally-Water into one of the most potent offensive threats in the tier. Backed up by an absurdly strong STAB move in Multi-Attack, Silvally-Water can absolutely shred through teams at any point in the game even without an Attack boost, with its coverage in Psychic Fangs letting it also serve as a Toxicroak check. Because Silvally-Water is great at forcing switches, U-turn lets it easily generate momentum for its team. U-turn also lets Silvally-Water pivot out versus slower checks like Wishiwashi and Eldegoss. Alternatively, Flame Charge can turn Silvally-Water into a potent late-game sweeper capable of outspeeding revenge killers like Choice Scarf Indeedee-F and Toxicroak.
Silvally-Water has application on builds from bulky offense to hyper offense as a pivot or late-game sweeper that also contributes some defensive utility in soft checking foes like Silvally-Fire, Rapidash, and Piloswine. Silvally-Water commonly forces in Grass- and Water-types such as Eldegoss, Gourgeist-S, Wishiwashi, and Quagsire, so wallbreakers like Abomasnow, Nasty Plot Skuntank, and Drampa make excellent partners. If using it on a more offensive team, Abomasnow can also provide Aurora Veil support, which makes it easier for Silvally-Water to set up and sweep. In return, Silvally-Water checks Fire-types for Abomasnow and applies pressure to special walls like Clefairy for Drampa. Indeedee-F is also a nice partner because it heavily pressures physical walls like Cofagrigus, Sandaconda, and Ferroseed, and Choice Scarf variants can provide Healing Wish support, which makes it easier for Silvally-Water to wallbreak for itself early- and mid-game.

[SET COMMENTS]
Defog Silvally-Water brings a useful combination of utility to the table. Thanks to its strong STAB Multi-Attack, Silvally-Water can adequately pressure most Stealth Rock setters, which makes it easy to get opportunities to use Defog. Additionally, Psychic Fangs is helpful so Silvally-Water can reliably revenge kill Toxicroak. Silvally-Water is also a great pivot thanks to U-turn, easily capitalizing off of switches into Pokemon like Eldegoss, Gourgeist-S, and Wishiwashi. An alternative EV spread of 192 Atk / 128 SpA / 184 Spe with a Naive nature can be run with Flamethrower; this gives Silvally-Water enough Speed to outrun Rotom-S and Rotom-F and lets it OHKO Abomasnow with Flamethrower.
This Silvally-Water variant is a great fit on balance and bulky offense teams because of the great amount of utility it brings between Defog and U-turn. Silvally-Water commonly draws in opposing Water-types like Wishiwashi, Lanturn, and Quagsire; pairing it with wallbreakers like Abomasnow, Flapple, and Gourgeist-S that prey on such foes is a great way to keep up pressure on the opponent. Abomasnow is also able to pressure Dragon-types like Silvally-Dragon and Drampa. Because Silvally-Water is effective at dealing with Ground-types, Pokemon like Togedemaru, Rapidash, Garbodor, and Galarian Stunfisk appreciate its support. In return, Garbodor absorbs Toxic Spikes, while Togedemaru and Galarian Stunfisk can pivot into Electric-type moves.
