Simisear's good Special Attack and Speed, interesting movepool, and offensive typing has solidified its place as the best Fire-type in the tier. This is mostly because of Nasty Plot, which greatly boosts its Special Attack and wallbreaking prowess, and its powerful coverage moves, which allow it to force out many threats and beat typical Fire-type counters. Firium Z in conjunction with Fire Blast allows Simisear to break through defensive behemoths such as Audino. Grass Knot and Grassium Z are required to break through Lanturn, a healthy Poliwrath, and a healthy Regirock, as the former takes a negligible amount of damage from even boosted Grass Knot. Simisear can run many different moves on the last moveslot. Focus Blast hits threats such as Guzzlord, Drampa, and Silvally-Dragon while Substitute and Aguav Berry give it more chances to set up and prevent it from being revenge killed. Finally, Taunt can be used as it allows Simisear to act as stallbreaker.

(its also due to the severe lack fire resists in the tier, they all pretty much get bopped by its coverage moves) Furthermore, due to its typing and extensive movepool, it finds many chances to use it. Firium Z in conjunction with Fire Blast allows Simisear to break through defensive behemoths such as Altaria. (Taunt allows sear to do that better tbh. Im pretty sure spdef alt still beats you 1v1 w/o taunt. id mention audino here instead) Grass Knot + Grassium Z allows it to break through Lanturn and a healthy Poliwrath, as the former takes a negligible amount of damage from even boosted Grass Knot. (breaks through regirock easier too) Lastly, Simisear can run many different moves on the last moveslot. Focus Blast hits threats such as Silvally-Dragon and Drampa (mention drampa before silvally-dragon as its more relevant) while Substitute + Aguav Berry gives it more chances to setup and prevents revenge killing. Finally, Taunt can be used as it allows it to act as stallbreaker.

If most of them can't switch into Simisear, it's partly due to Nasty Plot, which greatly boosts its Special Attack and wallbreaking prowess, and it doesnt have a hard time using it due to its typing and extensive movepool, which allow it to force out many threats. (more concise) Firium Z in conjunction with Fire Blast allows Simisear to break through defensive behemoths such as Audino.
