What does Rhyhorn do in specific and why is it preferred over say Geodude? Is it basically the next best thing to Onix or something since that's not in gen 9? Ofc this is a C-rank mon but I'm still curious.
Usually it’s a poor man’s Onix, but in Gen 9 it runs a somewhat gimmicky set with Tera Flying and lightning rod that lets it serve as a counter to Voltorb-Hisui, among other things. It’s not the most viable thing in the world but it has a decent niche.
While meeting all the criteria for being allowed in LC, it was deemed too strong and banned for the reasons Hacker mentioned. It was also banned from NFE for similar reasons, which is why it shows up as ZU in the showdown builder instead.
just like everyone, sometimes they do and sometimes they dont. i probably will after im done with scl, maybe someone will do it after lcpl, you never know

Is there like, a team bazaar anywhere? I've just been messing around with a team, and would just like to share it since its decent (though nowhere near sample team worthy lol).

its fringe viable for two reasons: first, they gave it swords dance finally, which couples perfectly with scale shot. second, metagame favors it, because fire types like hisuian growlithe are really good
So what could Toedscool’s role be in a team? I saw it was pretty high on the viability rankings, and i feel like I want to use it.

It can do a few things because it has a good typing, movepool and general stats all around including (crucially) a nice 17 speed.
Probably most notably is its ability to function as a defensive switch-in to Mudbray, Tinkatink (be careful of the rare ice hammer) and to a lesser extent Glimmet, which are the three rockers of the tier, and Rapid Spin away the hazards. It also threatens Earth Power and Giga Drain to hit them super effectively. Notably, it gets Knock Off, so something like Foongus is unable to switch into it. This leaves Vullaby as the main option teams have, and Vullaby getting hit with a Knock Off basically prevents it from doing anything defensively (like eating Mienfoo HJK for example), and obviously once Vull comes in you can punish it by switching to your own rocker. Some Toedscool have run Dazzling Gleam in the past to further harass Vullaby.
Notably, it also gets access to Spore and Spikes, both of which have received a lot of usage in the past. The most important moves are Spin, Knock and Earth Power in that order and then you can kinda use whatever you want. Give it a shot it's lowkey underrated I recommend Spikes but it's preference-based.
