Sine Labore Nihil OU Rmt

Sine Labore Nihil
Nothing without work, Hey its Makaveli here again with another Rmt. I wanted to make another non weather team this time that used CB Dragonite and Lead Deoxys-S, and this is the result. I had some help from Donut, and this team has had some success but my win ratio could be higher. So now onto the team. I am open to having weather starters on this team to make it be more successful. Major changes were made to improve it, and the loss of nite and deoxys was needed.

Gyarados was added over dragonite to help with ice weakness , and heatran over deoxys for better utility and to handle sun teams.

485.png

Heatran (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Lava Plume
- Roar

Heatran is excellent in its role. It handles sun teams, and checks Volcarono. This is the first part of the defensive core, and it checks the one of the three weathers. The Evs are standard and maximize special bulk. lava plume has been chosen for its 30 percent burn rate which can nerf physical attackers.Roar is to phaze. This is chosen to handle sun teams, Volcorano and to be better than deoxys.

130.png

Gyarados (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 160 HP / 72 Atk / 180 Def / 96 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Bounce

Gyarados was added over dragonite to help combat my ice weakness by getting rid of another big weakness to it. Bulky is chosen to get some dds more than a standard sweeper one, bounce is chosen for coverage on grass pokes.`

472.png

Viper (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 184 Def / 80 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Taunt

Gliscor is excellent, it checks Excadrill and Conkelldur who would give this team a lot of trouble. Gliscor has excellent synergy with Heatran, being immune to Earthquake and resisting fighting type moves. It fills the role of a bulky sweeper. The Evs give maximum Poison Heal recovery while the extra speed will help to outspeed opposing Gliscor. It counters Excadrill and Conkeldurr and is my answer to sand. Swords dance allows Gliscor to boost its attack, ice fang is to hit flying pokes and levitate users. Earthquake is STAB and can 2HKO Jellicent after a swordsdance factoring in Stealth Rock. Taunt is stop phazers and other pokemon from setting up.

423.png

Gastrodon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Recover
- Scald
- Toxic
- Earth Power

Gastrodon is replacing Rotom w to better handle rain teams and to handle rotom. The Evs maximize special bulk, and this is my latios counter to an extent. The Evs are standard and allow it to wall special attacks.

212.png

Finish Him (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Superpower
- Pursuit
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch

The bulky Swords Dance set was replaced with CB to hit hard, and as i added heatran the role of the bulky steel went to it, which allowed scizor to run CB and to handle Gengar better, and Terrakion better as well.

639.png

Zain @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- X Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
- Rock Slide

Double Booster was replaced with scarf to handle +1 pokes that give this team trouble, it handles +1 volcarono, scrafty, and dnite. Moves are standard and x scissor to hit psychics hard.

Conclusion
Well this is my new team, and it does need some help so it can be more successful, any changes are welcome and would like to give a big thanks to Donut from serebii for his input. Any changes in future will be in bold

Hey this looks to be a very solid team! Dual dance Terrakion is still a major threat and is actually pretty well suited to the current metagame so gj. In any case Rotom-w is kind of tricky for you to switch into as nothing will like switching into Hydro Pump or Thunder, especially in the rain. Dragonite is not a good check as SR + no recovery can wear him down quickly and your own Rotom is choiced with no recovery as well. Eventually a Scizor + Rotom-w u-turn core can really wear you down, especially if your opponent has multiple hazards up.

For this reason, you might consider using standard Gastrodon over Rotom. Gastrodon, like Rotom, does an excellent job of stopping rain teams and annoying Rotom-Scizor cores by preventing Rotom from using Volt Switch and making Scizor afraid of switching into a Scald. Rotom-s service as a revenge killer is not required as you have two priority users, one of whom is very powerful, and things like DD Gyarados can still be stopped by Gastrodon with Toxic or by getting a Scald burn (and again, can still be revenged by Dragonite).

Also this is minor, but you could use Waterfall over Earthquake on Dragonite. This is largely preference, but I like it so I have a more powerful move against rain teams and so that I can actually hit Heatran with Balloon. It's also handy to hit Gliscor without relying on Outrage. Anyways good team, I hope this helps!

You could run Waterfall over Earthquake on Dragonite because

-it can still hit steels hard in rain
-it can 2HKO Gliscor and Hippowdon, without locking into Outrage
-it still hits Heatran hard

EDIT: nevermind, Smith has already addressed this.

This team needs major overhauls, deoxys just doesnt seem to pull its weight, and i am considering a scarf terrakion to handle +1 threats. more rates needed please. i need somethin to replace deoxys

Well, since you said please.

Just going though the OU list to see what this team would have trouble with, its quite long (luckily just got most of the BIG threats):

Calm mind Jirachi
Jellicent
Offensive Volcanora with HP rock
Infernape
All Toxicroaks outside of Bulk Up
Metagross
Scarfty
Lucario
Mienshoa
Machamp

Most of these pokemon sneak by simply because they wield an ice move to kill Gliscor. Now obviously, switching one pokemon in for Doexys isn't going to solve all of your problems. But I think I have an idea, see most of the said ice problem comes from you having both Dragonite and Gliscor, so change on of that. I suggest you switch Dragonite, for a more fierce some dragon of a different kind, Gyarados.

Gyarados (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 160 HP / 72 Atk / 180 Def / 96 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Bounce

With gyarados here, all that’s left is Jirachi and Volcanora, and well the other threats that where added with Dragonite gone (mainly Venusaur). I think Heatran deals with all of those quite well. Also, I haven't mentioned this yet, but steel types like Bronzong and Skarmory are annoying, even if they aren't exactly threats, with Heatran they are gone. Also you still can set up rocks, which is cool.

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Protect
- Stealth Rock

GL dude

Hey I'm diggin the team brah!

I see you want to replace Deoxys as it seems to be deadweight, well as the rater above mentioned, replace it with Specially defensive Heatran.

Also, Gastrodon isn't really helping the team in terms of synergy. Nasty Plot Celebi seems super fantastico addition to the team and Rotom-W won't be an annoyance. Nasty Plot / Giga Drain / HP Fire / Recover.

Keep beastin.

well this team has been better with the changes i have input, but it seems the spot dragonite was in is hard to replace, gyarados isnt just doin anything, and i would like to know wat would be a better replacement
