When Mega-Sableye was released I knew I just had to build a team around it. I loved everything about it. It has a great ability when none Mega, and an ever better ability when in Mega form. I spent day and night playing with it. This is about the 5th revamp of the team I made so far. As far as rated battles I'm 37-15 (about 5 of those were losses due to me having to leave and do stuff). As far as tournaments held in the OU room often I'm doing fairly well, almost made it to the Semis once. (Over predicted 1st turn, went down from there) Had several unranked battles with some randoms. They weren't exactly a challenge, but they did help me realize some small things i didn't notice before. I definitely believe this team has amazing potential to be great, but just isn't quite there yet. That's where you guys

Sabyele @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature
-Will-O-Wisp
-Recover
-Knock Off
-Foul Play
Originally I ran full stall and used the Calm Mind set, but I didn't really care for it too much. I then switched to something more balanced and decided to use a Utility set. W-o-W shouldn't need much explanation nor Recover. I choose Knock Off because it can OHKO Gengar, something CroSableye can't do until it sets up (even then it's not guaranteed) and hits Latios/Latias hard. Foul Play was to hit MGross and MGallade hard. Calcs were adjusted to Mega stats.
0 Atk Sableye Foul Play vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Metagross: 236-282 (78.1 - 93.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Sableye Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 276-326 (105.3 - 124.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 0 SpA Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Gengar: 230-272 (87.7 - 103.8%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
+1 0 SpA Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Latios: 168-200 (55.6 - 66.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Sableye Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latios: 218-260 (72.1 - 86%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Sableye Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latias: 200-236 (66.2 - 78.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 0 SpA Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Latias: 146-174 (48.3 - 57.6%) -- 93.4% chance to 2HKO

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Moonblast
- Heal Bell
- Fire Blast
I added Clefable to handle opposing sableye. (Seriously, not having some way to deal with it is a pain in the ass to play against, especially against a decent player) Clef serves as the Cleric for my team. I'm considering on switching to Unaware, LO Calm Mind set, or keeping this, but add more SpA to deal more damage to MSableye.

Excadrill @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Atk / 112 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock
I seen one of the top players on the ladder use a bulky Exca before and knew I wanted to try it out too. I couldn't get what their EVs was, so I had to play with calcs, something I'm not the best at. Excadrill obviously serves as my spinner and hazard setter. I originally ran Rock Slide over SR, but I didn't use it much and I already had answers to the one thing I ran it for. (Talonflame) the EVs are to Live 0 SpA Ttar Fire Blast after SR and Lefties recovery. There were some other things I calculated for, but can't remember as of now, but will surely add in once I do remember.
0 SpA Tyranitar Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 112 SpD Excadrill: 184-218 (43.3 - 51.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 112 SpD Excadrill: 302-356 (71.2 - 83.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Excadrill: 331-390 (78 - 91.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. 252 HP / 112 SpD Excadrill: 264-312 (62.2 - 73.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk (Mega) Altaria Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Excadrill: 320-378 (75.4 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
Talonflame is my sweeper. IMO, you don't need full speed on Talonflame unless you want to speed tie those who do run full speed on their Talon, so I took some speed out and put it in HP. Most people want to switch their clef on Sableye which lets me easily switch Talo in on that and start setting up once I found out that the clef is Magic Gaurd and once certain walls and opposing Talon are taken care of.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder Wave
I needed a way to handle Talon, and Lando-T better and rotom instantly came to mind. I run TWave as a sure-fire way to handle threats when I can't risk a w-o-w miss, and can handle them better even if they're just slowed down. Also Empoleon is apparently a thing so rotom brings an additional bonus of handling it as well.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Recover
I love this thing. <3 That wasn't so until after I decided to use it. I chose Gastro not to be unique, but to handle Heatran-Rotom cores. Also what I didn't notice until after I used it is that MLopunny can't land a guaranteed 2HKO on it unless it wants to risk a HJK miss.
252 Atk Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 202-238 (47.4252 Atk Lopunny Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 159-187 (37.3 - 43.8%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery - 55.8%) -- 22.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
I've never lost to a MLopunny 1 v 1 with Gastro. I'm doing so much better against Heatran/Rotom-W Cores. I can honestly say Gastrodon helps this team a lot since I added it. It's the poke that nearly brought me to the Semis in a tour once.
252+ Atk Mold Breaker Excadrill Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 169-199 (39.6 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 162-192 (38 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Mega Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 144-169 (33.8 - 39.6%) -- 23.4% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
I just find these calcs interesting..
That's the team. I'm currently sitting around 1509 elo. (gottent lazy while laddering so I stopped, but kept battling with the team) This is the first time I really got into competitive singles again since mid X/Y. (Life, played competitive smash, vgc, stopped caring) Any advice that's helpful is appreciated. Just don't be a John about it. :u
