Hello Smogon this is my very 1st RMT ,and if you look at my join date it is only a few days ago.Well let me tell about my self a little if thats okay (Hope I don't get banned for talking too much)Well i am not that old, i am only 14 yea that's pretty young ,but despite my age i am a farely successful pokemon battler.I am a straight A and B student and only got in trouble that 1 time when i forgot my uniform at home(Worst day of my life).I also made my school Top Band,Football Team, and got a certificate for good leadership woohoo!

Okay now about the team.I have expiremented mostly with a sand team ,but it was getting boring sweeping with a landorus and very hard trying to sweep with a sandslash(Only sometimes it worked). After, all those okay attempts i decided to make a Sun Team.I recently started the team and it was doing pretty good ,but sometimes i couldnt pull through some of the battles i felt like i couldn't do anything to my opponent ,so the only thing for me to do was to make my team better.I was like what should i do to make it better ,then i was hmm Smogon they have good teams on there maybe i can find something that can help ,but then i stumbled onto your RMT Forum Section.I was reading through some of the RMT and i decided hmm i should make one to ,it could really helped my team be really good ,so that was my reasoning to post this team on here.I want to get my team to be as good as possible. Also i want if my team is getting good enough for people to start using it might as well get people to know me ,since, i am new to Smogon anyway onto the rate Itself.

*AuBurn* (Ninetales) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 240 HP / 168 SDef / 100 Spd
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roar
- Flamethrower
- Sunny Day

*Move Set:Well I Chose
Will-O-Wisp because i need some burn power and if i predict a ttar switch in bam its a Weak tar.Roar is because Ninetails is a setup fodder and when they try to setup (Volc) they go bye bye.Flamethrower because duh i need to do something out there on the battlefield.Last move is Sunny Day just in case my opponent lead with toad well Hydro pump doesn't hurt that much anymore.

*Ev's, Nature, and Item:The Ev's i got off off of another Sun Team on Smogon and it helps a lot really don't know what they do though ,but it seems to be working on my bulky Ninetails.Calm to give Ninetails Max SpDef with this set.Leftovers to regain some health after owning some pokes.

Venusaur.gif

*GoodBye* (Venusaur) @ Life Orb
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 184 Spd / 252 SAtk / 72 HP
Timid Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Growth

*Move Set:Well as you can see the moveset is pretty standard Sludge Bomb Because of that nice STAB.Giga Drain because of STAB and because Venusaur loses some much health with all the life Orb recoils he could really need some health bam ty Giga Drain, Giga Drain:"I gotcha Bro" HP Fire well duh you try to wall me with that Ferrothorn bam bye bye Thorny Bush.I could really use a Gatorade, Venusaur used Growth this is even Better than a Gatorade, Annoucer: "Nice battle you to even through it was 6-0 Dumb Venusaur.

*Ev's, Natures, and Item:The Ev's i got from the same Team as i got my Ninetails Ev's ,but i can tell you one thing this Venusaur is hard to kill.Timid is normal nature a Venusaur you want a fast Venusaur not a slow one.Life Orb it Serves for one reason you send your poke out Venusaur destroys it that is the Life of the Life Orb.

wash-rotom.jpg

*Get-Off* (Rotom-Wash) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Hydro Pump

*Move Set:Put your close in the washer and comes back later.Well Rotom-Wash is exactly that, all becuase of one move Volt Switch. He comes he used Volt Switch Leaves and comes back later, its a rinse and repeat cycle.Trick is to get rid of that annoying Scarf and give it to one of those Bulky Stall team Pokemon.Hydro Pump is a Great STAB that lets me kill those other fire types beside mine also Ttar.Thunderbolt serves one purpose kill those dumb rain team pokes mostle the Toad.

Ev's, Nature, and Item:The Ev's are nothing special just the same as a normal Choice Scarf Wash. The Nature isn't special either it just gives me an extra power bonus when trying to get rid of pokes.Choice Scarf is so i can preform my Rinse and Repeat cycle with Volt Switch easier and be faster than some pokes.

*Brock* (Forretress) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Relaxed Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch

*Move Set:I chose Gyro Ball because i wanted some attack coverage.Spikes because it is normal on Forry.Rapid Spin because Its a Sun Team and i Hate STEALTH ROCK.Volt Switch when you feel some Tugging at you like a Magnetic Pull.

*Ev's, Nature, and Item:I chose the Ev's because i wanted a Forry that can stop those Physical attackers like a Bomb.I chose Bold to compliment my great Defensive skills.Ichoose leftovers so i can stay Healthy all day.

*Mr.Shark* (Dragonite) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed
- Outrage

*Move Set:Well with some testing i decided to replace latias was Dnite of here. Why because Latias was good there was nothing wrong with her, however, i needed some physical power on my team as you can see my whole team was special besides gyro ball on forretress so i needed a physical pokemon and that is why i picked Dnite.Anyway on the the moves.I choose Dragon Dance because it is fairly easy to set up on almost any pokemon and sweep a team.Earthquake is for those Heatrans that try to wall my team.ExtremeSpeed is for priority for when i need to make a quick kill.Outrage is my main STAB that can easily destroy team if they have lost their steel type.

*Ev's,Nature, and Item:I choose that Ev set because it is standard for the Dnite set i am running.Nature i chose Adamant over Jolly because it provides extra power though i am thinking of using Jolly for extra speed ,but i will stick with Adamant for right now.Lum Berry has alot to do with the set i am running.I can have my Dnite crippled so easily and i can't have my Dnite confused from my Outrage ,so that is why i choose Lum Berry.I am not entirely sure of Dnite over Latias ,but so far i think it was a good decision.

*MT.Neverest* (Heatran) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Roar
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume

*Move Set:Roar because you know i hate those Volc's and anything that tries to setup.Toxic is incase of those pesky stall teams really annoying when you can't take them down.Stealth Rock to lay down some of those Hazards.Lava Plume cause i can burn ya and get some STAB.

EV's, Nature, and Item:I choose the Ev's Because it is normal for a bulky heatran to have that Ev set.Calm is to help my bulk so nothing can tear me apart.I am probably going to take off Leftovers for Air Balloon because i hate those Dugtrio.

Conclusion

I hope you all enjoyed my Very First RMT.Please Leave Comments and Luv Disc

Hey there Scotti,

You have a pretty decent team so far and it looks fairly standard for a sun team. While you do have a few weaknesses, I hope I can help alleviate them with my suggestions. First up, I suggest you use an EV spread of 240 HP / 168 SDef / 100 Spd on your Ninetales. This EV spread gives more bulk than the one you're using while still being able to outspeed most of the things that it needs to burn. Also add in 0 Atk IVs just to minimize the damage you take from Foul Play and confusion self-hit damage while you need no Attack stat in the long run.

You're Venusaur set looks pretty good but I'd consider trying out Earthquake over Sludge Bomb which could help lure and KO Heatran after a Growth boost. For such a set, transfer the HP EVs to Atk, change from a Timid to a Naive nature and then try Hidden Power Ice -> Hidden Power Fire for a Ground / Ice dual attacking typing which gives great coverage in the Overused tier. This is merely a suggestion which could help out your Venusaur in getting surprise KOs and continuing to sweep.

On your Rotom-Wash, I'd consider trying Hidden Power [Fire] over Hydro Pump because Hydro Pump loses half of its power under your weather, which is not what you want. I understand you mentioned it being to help KO Tyranitar, but a Hydro Pump to a Specially Defensive Tyranitar in Sand off a Choice Scarf does not even reach a 2HKO after Leftovers recovery. If you do take Hidden Power Fire, use the IVs of 2 Atk, 30 SAtk and 30 Spd. Hidden Power Fire on Rotom-Wash will help get not only surprise kills on many Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Scizor and Forretress but also gain pseudo-stab under the Sunlight, effectively giving you a Fire / Electric dual stab to work off with a water resistance.

As for your Forretress, I'd definitely use Gyro Ball over Spikes or Toxic Spikes (depending on which you're more willing to give up) with a Relaxed nature. You can then move your SAtk EVs over to Atk after giving it 0 IVs in Speed as well. Gyro Ball assists heavily in making sure Forretress isn't complete set-up fodder for the likes of Volcarona which can destroy your team after a single boost.

Your Latias set looks fine so I won't add any alterations to that apart from the fact that you should put all your IVs back up to 31 except for Atk, which you should keep at 0. I suspect this was from previously using Hidden Power Fire.

On your Heatran, I'd suggest replacing Leftovers with an Air Balloon. This is due to the fact that it will allow you to Roar out or finish off HP Ground Volcarona which has the capability to completely 6-0 your team if it gets a single Quiver Dance off (which isn't too hard with the use of support moves like Encore or Memento). An Air Balloon will force Volcarona to pop it before it can hit it with HP Ground, giving you a free turn to prepare for it. Also change your IVs to 0 Atk / 31 everything else since you're not using a Hidden Power of any type.

Summary of changes:
38.png
: EV spread of 240 HP / 168 SDef / 100 Spd; add in 0 Atk IVs.
3.png
: Earthquake over Sludge Bomb; HP EVs to Atk; Timid to a Naive nature; Hidden Power Ice > Hidden Power Fire;.
479-wash.png
: Hidden Power [Fire] over Hydro Pump; use the IVs of 2 Atk, 30 SAtk and 30 Spd.
205.png
: Use Gyro Ball over Spikes or Toxic Spikes; Relaxed nature; SAtk EVs to Atk; 0 IVs in Speed.
380.png
: IVs to 31 except for Atk (which you should keep at 0.)
485.png
: Replace Leftovers with an Air Balloon.

Good luck with your team, man!

Ty for the rate ShellShocker i think those changes hepled a lot to my team and i am going to replace toxic with sunny day on my Heatran i really think that would help because it helps me at the end of the battle if i didnt win the weather war venusaur still has a chance to sweep

Hi! Interesting sun team you have here, I only have a few small nitpicks about it.

First off, @Shellshocker, Hydro Pump cannot be removed from Rotom-W by normal means, so even though this is a sun team, Rotom-W is stuck with it. But the suggestion for hidden power is a good suggestion, but not Fire. I'd recommend HP Ice over Thunderbolt. You still have stab volt switch, and since you lack any reliable attack against any dragon in general, HP Ice will be able dent them if not ohko them.

My real big problem is that special walls will have a field day with this team since your only real physical attacker is Forretress, and he's not an offensive threat at all. To remedy this, I'd recommend a Dragon Dance Dragonite over your current Latias. Dragonite is a bulky bastard with Multiscale, allowing you to easily snag one or more boosts, becoming a real physical powerhouse while also being able to tank attacks under the rain.

I really don't agree with Earthquake > Sludge Bomb. Earthquake would only be a silver bullet for Heatran, and Sludge Bomb would be a secondary STAB and can 2HKO Latios and other dragons that would otherwise laugh as Giga Drain and HP Fire. So I'd keep your previous set running with Sludge Bomb and a Timid nature. Though you'd lose out on surprising Heatran, an Earthquake from Dragonite (or Hydro Pump from Rotom-W if the weather isn't bright) will easily dispatch it from cause any big problems.

Here are the sets, good luck!

First off, @Shellshocker, Hydro Pump cannot be removed from Rotom-W by normal means, so even though this is a sun team, Rotom-W is stuck with it.

Oh, sorry about that. I completely forgot.

Ty for the rate.Hydro Pump would come in handy because of all the Rain Teams.I added Dnite to the team i really needed another physical attacker.Ty for the Venusaur Ev set also.
