Role Justification: Big bulky option that can slug it out with high-powered STABs and overall decent coverage. Recover gives it some extra longevity alongside good physical bulk and a stellar defensive typing, and Magic Bounce lets it block any Will-o-Wisps that head its way. However, it suffers from very weak special bulk and a speed tier that leaves it outpaced by a lot of offensive threats.

Role Justification: Strong special attacker with STAB BoltBeam (or in this case, Thunder Cage and Ice Beam). Thunder Cage gives it an interesting new STAB option that lets it wear down the opponent over time, letting its teammates or itself finish them off later. Adds an Ice and Electric-type to the meta for more type diversity, which is always good as well.
