[OVERVIEW]
Skarmory is a necessity on Steel teams because of its invaluable defensive utility. Skarmory's Flying typing gives it a Ground immunity and Fighting neutrality, which, along with its massive Defense stat, helps check major threats to Steel teams such as Excadrill and Mega Gallade. With Roost and Leftovers, Skarmory can stay healthy throughout most games to check multiple threats, and Whirlwind prevents it from being setup fodder. Skarmory can also provide Spikes to help wear down the opposing team through the switches it forces. However, Skarmory is very vulnerable to special attackers, and it can fall short in checking wallbreakers such as Nidoking and Keldeo.

[SET COMMENTS]
Brave Bird deals noticeable damage to most offensive threats, especially Fighting-types such as Heracross and Mega Gallade. Spikes allows Skarmory to chip away grounded Pokemon. Whirlwind forces out setup sweepers such as Dragonite and Mega Tyranitar, and it can also help rack up residual damage on the enemy team. Sturdy provides Skarmory with a way to guarantee an attack or status move against threats such as Victini and Volcarona.

All teammates on Steel, particularly offensive ones, appreciate Skarmory's Spikes support and defensive utility. Heatran can switch into Fire-type moves, exert pressure against Bug and opposing Steel teams, and check Fire-types like Victini, Mega Charizard Y, and Volcarona with Earth Power + Stone Edge. Ferrothorn can take care of bulky Ground / Water types like Gastrodon and Swampert and switch into Electric- and Water-type attacks from threatening special attackers such as Thundurus and Kingdra. Both Heatran and Ferrothorn are alternative Stealth Rock setters that allow Skarmory to run Spikes. Choice Scarf Magnezone can provide pivot support and help eliminate Water- and Flying-types like Keldeo, Slowbro, Landorus, and Mega Charizard Y. Choice Scarf Excadrill is a spinner that pressures Fire-types such as Mega Charizard Y and Choice Band Victini, as well as switching into Electric-types such as Mega Manectric and Thundurus. Mega Scizor is a setup sweeper that benefits from Skarmory's Spikes support and provides defensive utility with its Bug typing and access to Roost and U-turn. Bisharp provides utility with Knock Off, takes advantage of Defoggers with Defiant, and wears down offensive threats on types like Flying and Psychic with Sucker Punch. Choice Band Durant is another wallbreaker that can take advantage of Skarmory's Spikes, particularly to wear down Psychic teams. Bronzong is a special tank that can set Stealth Rock and help relieve some pressure from Skarmory by wearing down Fighting- and Ground-types like Keldeo and Landorus.

**Magnezone**: Magnezone can freely switch into Skarmory, trap it with Magnet Pull, and OHKO it with its STAB Electric-type attacks.

**Special Attackers**: Because of Skarmory's poor special bulk, powerful special attackers such as Kingdra, Landorus, and Kyurem-B threaten it.

**Super Effective Coverage**: Pokemon with super effective coverage such as Hydreigon, Deoxys-S, and Dragonite threaten Skarmory.

**Stallbreakers**: Pokemon with Taunt such as Mew, Thundurus, Gliscor, and Gyarados force Skarmory to use Brave Bird, which puts it into a bad position against bulky or Flying-resistant Pokemon.

Skarmory can also provide hazard support with Spikes and Stealth Rock to help wear down the opposing team through the switches that it forces. However, Skarmory is very vulnerable to special attackers, and thus it can fall short in checking wallbreakers such as Nidoking and Keldeo. While it doesn't compete with other Pokemon for a place on Steel teams, it often requires other Fighting and Ground checks such as Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, Bronzong, and Doublade to help check these threats. Your first sentence already implies that Skarmory is a staple on Steel teams. The rest of this seems like something that should stay in team options.

Brave Bird is Skarmory's attacking move of choice, as it does significant damage to most offensive threats, particularly Fighting-types, and is able to OHKO the likes of Hawlucha (50% roll not an OHKO) and Heracross. Roost helps keep Skarmory healthy, allowing it to come in multiple times throughout a match and be an effective wall. (Fluff imo) Whirlwind forces out set-up sweepers such as Dragonite and Mega Tyranitar, and can also help rack up hazard damage on the enemy team. Spikes allows Skarmory to chip away at grounded Pokemon throughout the game. Stealth Rock should be used instead of Spikes if there is no other Stealth Rock setter on the team. (I'd rather this be in OO since Bronzong and Heatran are better at keeping Stealth Rock up) Sturdy is used to provide Skarmory with a way to guaranteed get an attack off versus threats such as Victini and Infernape., and Maximum HP and Defense investment maximize's its effectiveness as a physical wall.

Heatran is a necessary teammate for Skarmory and Steel teams as a whole because it can switch into Fire-type attacks. Ferrothorn can switch into Electric-type attacks for Skarmory, as well as other threatening special attackers such as Kingdra. (Should have a bigger emphasis on Ferrothorn tanking Water-type attacks) Both Heatran and Ferrothorn can also run Stealth Rock, freeing up Skarmory to run Spikes. Pokemon like Mega Scizor and Bronzong can help Skarmory check Fighting and Ground types, relieving the pressure on Skarmory to switch into all of these Pokemon. (Bronzong is the most common Stealth Rock setter on Steel teams. Please mention this) Magnezone can help eliminate other Steel-types that can wall and abuse Skarmory such as Ferrothorn and opposing Skarmory. (I haven't seen Hidden Power Fire Magnezone recently at all) Excadrill can pressure Fire-types and switch into most Electric-types for Skarmory. It can also remove Stealth Rock, making it easier for Skarmory to switch in.

Checks and Counters

Steel
--------
**Magnezone**:

**Fire and Electric-types**: Fire-types and Electric-types such as Mega Charizard Y, Darmanitan, and Thundurus-T can easily dispatch of Skarmory through their super effective coverage. Specifically, Electric-types and bulky Fire-types, namely Heatran and Torkoal, do not fear attacks from Skarmory, and thus can switch in it without fear. Change this to super effective coverage.

**Stallbreakers**: Pokemon with Taunt or Substitute such as Mew and Suicune force Skarmory to use Brave Bird, which puts Skarmory into a bad position against bulky or Flying-resistant Pokemon. Unless Suicune is the last Pokemon alive on the opponent's team, why doesn't Skarmory just click Whirlwind? Add some more Taunt users.

Tag after implementing and I'll look over it again.

Felines, in the future, please let me know once you've implemented my changes so that I know when to take another look. Also, what happened to the other options section with Rocky Helmet and the Custap Berry set? Please put it back. If you removed it because my check didn't list it, then note that I only include the information I'm making edits to. Let me know if you have any questions.

It can also remove Stealth Rock, making it easier for Skarmory to switch in.
Some additions:
- Mega Scizor (revamp your desc as a setup sweeper with priority that can also provide defensive utility thanks to its part-Bug typing, good bulk, and access to Roost and U-turn)
- Bisharp (provides Knock Off utility and with Defiant it can punish foes attempting to clear entry hazards with Defog. Its strong Sucker Punch also helps wear down faster offensive threats)
- Choice Band Durant (very strong yet unreliable physical wallbreaker that heavily pressures Psychic teams)

Checks and Counters

Steel
--------
**Magnezone**: Magnezone can switch in freely and trap and OHKO Skarmory with its STAB Electric-type attacks. It can switch in freely because it fears nothing from Brave Bird, and the only thing Skarmory can do to counterplay is to survive an attack at full HP with Sturdy and Whirlwind. Removed some unnecessary information.

**Special Attackers**: Avoid overlap with the super effective coverage category. Some examples are Kingdra, Landorus, and Kyurem-B.

**Super Effective Coverage**: Fire-types and Electric-types such as Mega Charizard Y, Darmanitan, and Thundurus-T can easily dispatch of Skarmory through their super effective coverage. Specifically, Electric-types and bulky Fire-types, namely Heatran and Torkoal, do not fear attacks from Skarmory, and thus can switch in it without fear. Other (I meant for you to remove this first part in my last check as well. No need to mention that checks and counters with a type advantage beat the Pokemon with their STAB moves) Pokemon with super effective coverage such as Hydreigon, Dragonite, and Deoxys-S can threaten Skamory as well.

**Stallbreakers**: Pokemon with Taunt or Substitute Taunt users such as Mew, Thundurus Sableye, and Gyarados force Skarmory to use Brave Bird, which puts Skarmory into a bad position against bulky or Flying-resistant Pokemon. Against Substitute users such as Suicune, however, Skarmory can usually Whirlwind them out unless they are the last Pokemon alive. This part about Substitute users seems out of place to me, but I'll let the next QC member decide what to do with it.

Brave Bird is Skarmory's attacking move of choice, as it does noticeable damage to most offensive threats, particularly Fighting-types, and is able to OHKO the likes of Heracross. (I think Heracross is the main Pokemon it OHKOes. use like "target" and add Mega Gallade into these examples) Whirlwind forces out set-up sweepers such as Dragonite and Mega Tyranitar, and can also help rack up hazard damage on the enemy team. Spikes allows Skarmory to chip away at grounded Pokemon throughout the game. (The way this is written, I want you to put Spikes before Whirlwind. Spikes in move3 and Whirlwind in move4) Sturdy provides Skarmory with a way to guaranteed get an attack off versus threats such as Victini and Volcarona, and Maximum HP and Defense investment maximizes its effectiveness as a physical wall. (what if spikes is better in a situation like this, i'd rephrase)

(Talk about how teammates, especially its offensive teammates appreciate its spikes support)
Heatran can switch into Fire-type moves, exert pressure against Bug and opposing Steel teams, and check Fire-types like Victini, Mega Charizard Y, and Volcarona with Earth Power + Stone Edge. Choice Band Durant is another wallbreaker that can abuse Skarmory's hazard support, particularly to wear down Psychic teams.
