XY OU Skarmory/Tyranitar defensive core

To start things off, this is my OU singles sticky web team, I have used it with much success on wi-fi and showdown, but it occasionally gets shut down by some teams, so if anyone has suggestions to make it better it would be much appreciated. (Also I use this team ingame where good quality legendaries are hard to come by, so if you have any team member change suggestions, keep that in mind but feel free to make the suggestion anyway)

Team building
Okay, for a very quick team building overview- I wanted to use a sticky web team so that I could use pokemon that don't necessarily have good enough speed to make it normally without a boost or choice item, so I chose galvantula as my sticky web user because he has decent offensive presence and great speed. Next I wanted to try out a defensive core of skarmory and sp.def tyranitar, so I added those two (they have great synergy together on my team). I threw mega medicham on the team because he is an offensive nuke basically and a great stall breaker. I then added moxie salamence as a late game sweeper that can steam roll opponents, and finally added nidoking as a sp.attacker and status absorber that is not hindered by sandstorm.

Galvantula
Nature-timid
Ability-compound eyes
EVs-252sp.atk 252spd 4hp
Item-focus sash
-sticky web
-bug buzz
-thunder
-sucker punch
Galvantula is the lead and his main purpose is to set up sticky web, then hit the opponent hard with thunder/bug buzz until he faints. Sucker punch is there so that galvantula can hit a faster opponent after laying sticky web, assuming that I do not switch him out. I only switch him out if the opponent for sure has a rapid spinner/defogger. I played around with volt switch, but settled on sucker punch against my better judgement because he was frequently laying down sticky web, then getting killed by faster leads.

Skarmory
Nature-impish
Ability-sturdy
EVs-252hp 252def 4sp.def
Item-leftovers
-stealth rocks
-whirlwind
-roost
-brave bird
After galvantula has switched out or fainted skarmory is usually the go to pokemon. His job is to set up stealth rocks, then whirlwind continuously for chip damage. Roost is for reliable recovery to keep him going for as long as possible. Brave bird is rarely used unless a ohko can be guaranteed or unless skarmory's purpose is gone. The EVs and nature are for a standard defensive wall.

Tyranitar
Nature-adamant
Ability-sand stream
EVs-252atk 252sp.def 4hp
Item-assault vest
-stone edge
-earthquake
-crunch
-outrage
Tyranitar is my reliable switch in for when skarmory is up against a fire/electric special attacker. Full sp.def investment, sandstorm, and assault vest let him easily tank most all special hits, allowing him to also act as an amazing special wall. Stone edge is for hitting talonflame, mega Zard Y, and basically anything else that dosent resist it. EQ is for the rest of the fire and electric types. Crunch is a stab coverage move very helpfull against latias/os. Outrage is only used when there are no other options, but I am definetly considering switching it with ice punch. When I made the team outrage was much easier for me to get.

Nidoking
Nature-modest
Ability-sheer force
EVs-252sp.atk 252spd 4hp
Item-life orb
-sludge wave
-flamethrower
-ice beam
-thunderbolt
Nidoking is my special sweeper. Ice beam and thunderbolt are on this set as great coverage. Flamethrower is for hitting ferrothorn and other threats. Sludge wave is for ridiculous power even on neutral hits, and to kill fairies, which otherwise mostly wall this team. Nidoking is also a great status absorber, being immune to t-wave and toxic, and being a special attacker, so burns don't hinder him much. Also, nidoking is immune to sandstorm, which is another reason why I chose him.

Medicham
Nature-adamant
Ability-pure power
EVs-252atk 252spd 4hp
Item-medichamite
-high jump kick
-fire punch
-ice punch
-bullet punch
Medicham is the stall breaker on this team, able to destroy most things with stab hjk. Fire punch is for ferrothorn, Ice punch is for dragons, and bullet punch is just for some priority. I chose adamant over jolly because the extra speed is not really needed because of sticky web.

Salamence
Nature-adamant
Ability-moxie
EVs-252atk 252spd 4hp
Item-lum berry
-dragon claw
-crunch
-brick break
-earthquake
Salamence is the last resort sweeper, so moxie is vastly superior to intimidate for this role. Lum berry is to shrug off a burn or paralyze that would otherwise cripple him. All the moves are for maximum coverage.

Threats
-Noivern, latios, and other fast flying Pokemon.
-Landorus therian
-Cinccino
These are some of my most common or most destructive threats. Obviously flying pokemon are a bother because they disregard sticky web. They are mostly a problem late game when tyranitar and nidoking are gone, otherwise the two of them have no problem taking flying Pokemon out. Also, Cinccino is basically the biggest threat to galvantula getting sticky web up, and when one is on my opponents team I have to change my game plan to work around it.

Here are a couple of concerns to begin with. First off, I feel like fully investing in speed on some of the team is a waste because its a sticky web team. I did this as a backup so that if sticky web gets spinned away my team isn't just sitting ducks. I'm wondering if it is a better idea to invest in bulk anyway? Another concern is salamence's item, I slapped on a lum berry simply because I could not think of a better item, so if there is a more useful item it would be great to know. Also, I have tried out various last resort pokemon in salamence's role and have had varied success. I occasionally have problems with salamence's speed when sweeping late game. Thanks for any input! (I apologize for not having sprites, I had trouble figuring it out, but I will get them for next time)

few quick changes

Outrage>Pursuit on tyranitar so you can trap and kill the lati twins since they look like threats as they are common defoggers that can get rid of your web
Thunderbolt>Earth power on nidoking since having powerful ground stab is nice and gives you more power and coverage
Fire Punch>Zen Headbutt Zen headbutt gives you strong stab and better coverage since things like skarm are 2hko'd on the switch in by hjk and most others are taken care of with hjk
Brick Break>Dragon Dance on salamence because even though his sweeping ability is outclassed by other dragon dancers the speed from dragon dance lets you function as a much better sweeper when you can outspeed all the notable threats to a cleanup.

The team is not perfect and you would need to make some big changes to improve performance but these are some small changes that might help you as you climb the ladder

gl with the team

Ok thanks. I'll try those out, although running crunch and pursuit is rather redundant and thunderbolt helps a lot with gyrados and other water mons that my team does not have a lot of coverage on and is more useful to me than earth power because I already run EQ on other team members. (Also I think you meant to flip all the > to < haha (unless you meant them as arrows instead of greater than/less than signs))
