Due to its typing, solid coverage, and decent Speed, Skuntank serves as a solid offensive check to NU's Grass-, Ghost-, Fairy-, and Psychic-types. Nasty Plot allows Skuntank to set up on opposing Pokemon such as Clefairy and Choice-locked Indeedee-F. Sludge Bomb and Dark Pulse provide perfect coverage against prominent walls such as Eldegoss, Cofagrigus, and Hattrem. Fire Blast incinerates Steel-types such as Perrserker, Ferroseed, and Galarian Stunfisk and is Skuntank's strongest move against Toxicroak. Memento can be substituted as an option over Fire Blast, providing extra utility for hyper offense teams. Maximum Special Attack and Speed investment with a Modest nature maximizes Skuntank's offensive capabilities while allowing it to outspeed Flapple. Black Sludge is preferred for longevity, although Life Orb can be utilized instead to OHKO Sandaconda after a Nasty Plot boost.

Skuntank imparts valuable role compression for many offense-oriented teams, providing defensive utility while also functioning as a wallbreaker and sweeper. Water-types such as Silvally-Water and Wishiwashi can bring Skuntank in against opposing Grass-types with U-turn so it can take advantage of them. They are also solid checks to opposing Ground-types such as Galarian Stunfisk, Piloswine, and Sandaconda. Klinklang, Silvally-Dragon, and Choice Scarf Togedemaru appreciate Skuntank's capability to weaken opposing Fighting- and Ground-types. Fighting-types such as Choice Scarf Sawk and Toxicroak and Psychic-types like Galarian Mr. Mime and Galarian Rapidash value Skuntank's ability to remove opposing Psychic-, Fairy-, and Ghost-types in order to potentially clean or sweep late-game. Entry hazard setters such as Golurk, Sandaconda, and Piloswine appreciate Skuntank's ability to switch into spinners like Eldegoss and Magic Bounce users such as Hattrem.

Should be ready for QC. I was wondering if Defog should be mentioned as an option?

Note that Modest max speed outruns Flapple and then gives you big power. Explain LO (ohkos sanda) vs Black Sludge (longevity)

Water-types such as Silvally-Water and Wishiwashi appreciate Skuntank's ability to weaken opposing Grass-types. This is phrased wrong; it doesn't weaken grass types because they ain't staying in, more like "Wishiwashi and Silvally-Water bring in Grass-types for Skuntank to take advantage of" In return, they are able to check opposing Ground-types such as Galarian Stunfisk, Piloswine, and Sandaconda. I want some mention of teammates that want Fighting types and Ground types weakened, because that is realistically what skunk does for you. Fighters such as Choice Scarf Sawk and Toxicroak and Psychic-types like Galarian Mr. Mime and Galarian Rapidash value Skuntank's ability to remove opposing Psychic-, Fairy-, and Ghost-types in order to potentially clean and/or sweep in the late game. Hazard setters such as Golurk, Sandanconda, and Piloswine appreciate Skuntank's ability to deter switch into Rapid spinners like Eldegoss and Magic Bounce users such as Hatterene Hattrem.

Nasty Plot allows Skuntank to set up on opposing Pokemon such as Clefairy and Choice-locked Indeedee-F.
