Greetings! I'm new to competitive pokemon battling and this is my UU team:
1. Lead
Uxie @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Impish
Evs: 252 HP, 104 Def, 154 Spe. Def.
- Trick
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Yawn
The entire point of this guy is to set up SR, maybe trick a lead with CS and yawn the switch, but if i get SR up, i'm happy. Slaking really wishes for OHKO, and SR support may be the only thing that changes that. I have yet to be able to Trick any leads, so I'm thinking about changing that, I am also thinking about changing Yawn to thunder wave to help slow down some of my opposition.
2. Phys. Hit 'n Run:
Slaking @ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Attack, 6 Def., 252 Speed
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Return
- Sucker Punch
Earthquake is for the Rock pokemon and occasional grounded poisons.. Fire punch is for Venasaur and Steelix, STAB return is the main attack, and Sucker Punch for anything that thinks they will outspeed it or the levitating Ghost types that want to set up.
3. Spin Blocker, setting up rest talker:
Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def., 6 Spe. Def.
- Calm Mind
- Dark Pulse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
I think this poke's pretty self explanatory. It calm minds till in the crit. zone (or will soon die). then rest of the status. and hope for a sleep talk Stab Boosted Dark Pulse. It's main reason though, is to stop spinners like Donphan who want to remove my SR. If it can set up enough, it can sweep.
4. Bulky Water!!:
Milotic @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EVs: 248 HP, 252 Def., 8 speed
- Surf
- Hidden Power Grass
- Ice Beam
- Recover
Yay for instant Healing that's not rest!! Surf for Main STAB attack, HP grass for coverage, and Ice beam for Venasaur and anything that's flying. Recover because it's amazing.
5. Physical Tank:
Regirock @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP, 36 Att., 222 SpD
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Stone Edge
- Thunder Wave
The EVs give explosion a bit of a bang and let Earthquake and Stone Edge be a little stronger. Thunder Wave over Toxic because i don't plan on stalling with this guy and my "sweepers" are slow. I have yet to find the need to use regirock as a spec. wall, so i'm thinking of moving some of the SpD EVs to Attack to give him more of punch.
6. The guy i throw in my team to balance it:
Hariyama @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
EVs: 80 HP, 172 Att., 254 Def.
- Force Palm
- Ice Punch
- Stone Edge
- Whirlwind
As the title implies, he's sorta the backup. Force palm adds para support as he is quite slow. Ice Punch and Stone Edge add coverage, and Whirlwind the stuff I don't want to punch.
Well, there's my team.
If you've noticed, i actually put the extra 2 EVs into something. Yea, it just feels right to me that way... sure it doesn't do anything, but it feels like it did... you know, like how pressing A and B while throwing that pokeball doesn't do anything but feels like it did? yea, it's like that.
