SLAYING IN THE RAIN (REVISED)

Politoed @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Perish Song
Politoed makes as a solid lead, to set up rain and he is relatively bulky. At the begining i used hidden power electric but couldn't find the right times to use it. im more worried about getting the burn than getting the power so scald makes for a good stab as well as a good stall. perrish song is solely for the use of eliminateing teams using baton pass.

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Body Slam
- Play Rough
Azumarill's belly drum sitrus berry combo makes for an awesome sweep. I've encountered many megas who cant handle his power. Body slam is for the chance to get the paralyze and in the case where i know he cant sweep a pokemon i hope to get the paralysis. there is no need to explain the play rough.

Now ive decided to dump the last four pokemon i held on this team for the purpose of defense. you may see the old team below this one.

Ludicolo @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Atk
Mild Nature
- Fake Out
- Hydro Pump
- Giga Drain
- Ice Beam
Ludicolo works as a good counter for grass types when they try to kill my water types. Fake out is to get that extra damage and if they are burned or paralyzed then they get dealt even more damage. Ludicolo does loose energy whenever he attacks but gains it back through draining. and being speedy in the rain makes a big difference when it comes to dealing damage quick.

Cloyster @ Focus Sash
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Rock Blast
- Icicle Spear
- Ice Shard
- Shell Smash
After a few shell smash this guy is hard to get rid of. raising his speed and attack in a hurry may be dangerous but when he attacks hes sure to kill. his only flaw would be his need for his sash. if you loose the sash then you most likely loose him.

Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Fake Out
- Water Pulse
- Dark Pulse
- Aura Sphere
In need of a mega i originally was told by my best friend to try out mega manetric but whenever i come across one i most likely am able to one hit it. so in a pokemon showdown match against my friend he swept my team with a single mega blastoise. his ability makes his water pulse incredibly powerful and his ther moves make for good coverage. Fake out ensures that the mega evolution goes through.

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature
- Thunder
- Flash Cannon
- Rain Dance
- Magnet Rise
in desperate need for an electric type i came across starmie who at the time seemed like a great idea.but being frail made it hard to get many hits in. so i found magnezone who can pull off the thunder and live long enough to pull off a rain dance.

this team has about a fifty fifty chance of winning and looks to be getting better every battle. i may have to work out a few kinks but i feel this team will carry me far. and as promised here is my old team...

Politoed @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Perish Song

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Play Rough

Kingdra @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Modest Nature
- Focus Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Muddy Water
- Ice Beam

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunder
- Hydro Pump
- Psychic
- Rapid Spin

Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Quick Attack
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Knock Off

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

This team has proven to be very useful in competitive 6 v 6 singles. Originally I had mega scissor in the place of mega pinsir. Switching this pokemon worked well in the sense that I got a flying type. Using the advantages to rain my starmie gets it's thunder off and all my pokemon water type moves get the 10% boost. My Azumarill May be able to get the ohko on almost every pokemon. Critdra works well in the sense as a secondary sweeper. Recently I've been working on this team using team builders and simulators to test my teams strengths and weaknesses. Lately they have been klefki, breeloom, and mega charizard y. Sap sipper goodra might make a good addition to this team. I've worked hard on these teams so if you have any suggestions on either team I would be very grateful. Thank you. and if you have a suggestion as to which team you find better that would be nice. peace!!

Hey! You could maybe edit all that info into one post, as it looks better than when you split info in 2 posts. You could maybe cut down on the font size to make more room to the opening post. Also, learn how to use hide-tags, as it gives you a good way of putting a lot of information without filling the post with too much text. You use them by putting down [ hide ] (without the spaces), adding the info, and closing with [ /hide ] (again, without the spaces). You could put your old team in hide-tags, so that people can have a look at it if they feel like it. However, I'm going to give the rate now, but make sure to do those edits to get more rates + to avoid mods from locking the thread.

'kay, so I see that your Politoed is orientated towards offense, and that's a good option, as Politoed can contribute well offensively on rain teams. However, I'm going to suggest a slightly different set for Politoed. Hydro Pump is needed for maximum damage output, as even with max. investment, Politoed can't slack in power department if it wants to be useful. Ice Beam offers good coverage. Focus Blast is mainly for Ferrothorn, the main nemesis of any rain team. Psychic is used to get past M-Venusaur that really gives your team a good deal of trouble as it stands. The Speed investment is to outspeed mainly M-Venusaur. Your Azumarill looks good overall, but I would ditch Body Slam, because it really isn't Azumarill's job to paralyze, he needs to hit hard. I would replace Body Slam with Waterfall, its most powerful move under rain. Also, you need 124 Speed to outrun CB Scizor, so that he doesn't dent you with Bullet Punch, leave rest of the EVs to HP. Fake Out is completely redundant on Ludicolo. You do more damage to yourself with Life Orb, it doesn't revenge kill anything, and it drains valuable rain turns. Use Focus Blast instead of Fake Out to have extra insurance on Ferrothorn.

move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Focus Blast
move 4: Psychic
ability: Drizzle
item: Damp Rock
evs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
nature: Modest

I don't like the Focus Sash on Cloyster, as there's too much priority in OU, and +2 Ice Shard doesn't hit hard enough. I have 2 item suggestions for you. Either try Never-Melt Ice to power up your strongest move, Icicle Spear, or try Lum Berry, so that you can boost against defensive threats that try to use status moves on you. Also, switch Ice Shard to Hydro Pump, as that lets you get past physical walls. Switch the nature to Naughty. I'm not too convinced on M-Blastoise, as he's just too slow to abuse that great Special attack, so unless you use Rapid Spin on M-Blastoise, you should really ditch him for a better rain abuser. You could maybe try Kabutops, as he is considered to be the best rain abuser. Gonna put down a set you could try. Rapid Spin could be an option on Kabutops, but seeing as your team isn't really weak to Rocks, I wouldn't bother. +2 Aqua Jet kills Thundurus before he has a chance to use priority T-Wave. Low Kick is an option to take care of Ferrothorn, but Politoed and Ludicolo have Focus Blast, so that's not necessary. Magnezone is too slow to utilize that strong Thunder, and Magnet Rise is generally not a good move, since there are plenty of ways to wear down Magnezone. I'm gonna suggest you try Deoxys-S for additional rain support, as he can give you Rain support, and also place SR, which your team desperately needs. Gonna put down a set for you. Taunt is for opposing leads that try to place hazards, Magic Coat is to bounce hazards, taunts or status moves. Good luck with the team!
