爬地翅以拳击般的气势压制对手！凭借优秀的属性组合、稳定的回复手段以及不错的辅助能力，爬地翅在虫属性队伍中找到了属于自己的定位，能够Check洗翠大剑鬼与席多蓝恩等原先能对虫属性队伍造成麻烦的宝可梦。近身战能重创盐石巨灵、洗翠黏美龙、席多蓝恩以及铝钢桥龙。鬼火能够压制快龙与玛力露丽等试图在其面前强化的宝可梦。晨光则让爬地翅能在鬼火灼伤对手后，持续抵挡铁臂膀和劈斧螳螂等宝可梦的攻击，并保持血量健康。急速折返使爬地翅能够脱离面对赛富豪等对手时的不利对位；闪焰冲锋则能反制赛富豪以及钥圈儿、盔甲鸟等试图应对它的钢属性宝可梦。爬地翅需要队友来弥补它的劣势对位，因此，像火神蛾和巨钳螳螂这类能够压制妖精属性的宝可梦，以及能击败火属性对手的讲究围巾劈斧螳螂，都是不错的队友选择。此外，如前面提到的劈斧螳螂与佛烈托斯等出钉手，也能进一步增强爬地翅的消耗能力，与爬地翅形成良好配合。
