Slow Night, Slow Long (UU RMT)

This is my UU team that I use on shoddy, taking me to near 1500, under the name YouAreLegend on the first day. It has worked pretty good, but there is always room for improvement.

Quick Notes:
I like how nothing is weak to SR
I don't like how everything is on the ground
I don't have any Normal resist.
I dont Like that the team is kinda unbalanced, with 4 physcial and 2 sp.attackers
I like when Ambipom Fakes Out my Gallade XD

Gallade@Focus Sash
Jolly
6 hp / 252 attack / 252 speed
Steadfast

Close Combat
Shadow Sneak
Taunt
Destiny Bond

The anti lead Gallade. I had the EV's from Smogon, but I got really tired of getting outspeed by offensive Venuasaur and this way, I at least have a chance to Taunt before they Sleep Powder me. Close Combat provides a really powerful STAB and Shadow Sneak can help me revenge weakened stuff or take out somthing with a sash. Destiny Bond when I'm done, or to cause a switch. Predicting a switch and using CC is BEAUTIFUL XD

Umbreon@Leftovers
Careful
252 hp / 164 defense / 92 sp.defense
Synchronize

Payback
Heal Bell
Wish
Protect

My special wall and the best team player around. Umbreon supports the team so well. Umbreon heals the team of status and restores HP with wish. Before I had Chansey here, but she either has Aromatherapy or Wish, but this has both AND payback, so it can actually hit Mismagius which would wreck my team before this. Protect helps scout whether or not the other poke is choiced or not.

3502.png

Milotic@Leftovers
Modest
198 hp / 90 speed / 220 sp.attack
Marvel Scale

Surf
Hidden Power [Grass]
Ice Beam
Recover

Every team needs a bulky water, and this is mine. Modest with 220 sp.attack provides some good offense, 90 speed EV's out speed Jolly Max Speed Aggron, 198 hp gives good bulkiness. So random Magnet Rise, Sub, or CB can be brought down with Surf. HP [Grass] lets me take on Azumarril and other Milotic, but, most importantly, Quagsire and Gastrodon, as those inhibit the sweep of the next poke...

2432.png

Raikou@Leftovers
Timid
252 hp / 160 defense / 96 speed
Pressure

Thunderbolt
Rest
Sleep Talk
Calm Mind

This is LonelyNess's Raikou set. It works great to take on stall, (after Steelix/Donphan are gone) and can beat most StallRein. It works a lot like Crocune (obviously) Just CM until they status you or bring your hp low. Thunderbolt is the STAB move of choice, hitting most things, and after a few CM's, it does good damage even to those who resist it. This set works well with Umbreon, if I really need somthing to take status.

232-1.png

Donphan@leftovers
Adamant
252 hp / 252 attack / 6 defense
Sturdy

Earthquake
Ice Shard
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock

My spinner. Spinning is really helpful against stall teams, after their ghost is gone, which is good, because everything on my team gets hit by spikes and all but one gets hit by Toxic Spikes. Earthquake is a really powerful STAB coming from 372 attack, while still retaining its physcial bulk with max HP. Ice Shard revenges DD Altaria and weakened Grass types. Stealth Rock is like, the best move in the game, and I think every team should utilize it.

3.png

Venusaur@Life Orb
Jolly
6 hp / 252 attack / 252 speed
Overgrow

Power Whip
Earthquake
Swords Dance
Sleep Powder

The classic SD Venusaur. Sleep is like the best status in the game, so Sleep Powder is a given. This is an SD Venusaur so of course I need Swords Dance. Power Whip is a super strong Stab and earthquake is good because it's freaking earthquake, one of the most used attacks in the game. Saur can sweep so well, and because it baits out a lot of Registeels, which lets me set up pretty well.

That is the team it has faired pretty well in my testing.

PS. Slow Night So Long is and awesome song by Kings of Leon :)

Stone Edge over Taunt would stop Froslass leads cold. (Stone Edge followed by Shadow Sneak means a max of one layer of Spikes while Shadow Sneak fails to 2HKO without Technician.) Not sure what you'd be Taunting, anyway; all the setup leads are faster than you. Alternatively, drop Destiny Bond for Stone Edge.

Once you have a lead that can handle Froslass, you really don't need a spinner. Nobody is weak to Stealth Rock, you won't see more than one layer of Spikes, and Venusaur is there to absorb Toxic Spikes. I'm not sure what should replace Donphan, though. Mesprit or Uxie could help you set up Raikou for a sweep, and both can set up Stealth Rock. They're at least worth considering.

Taunt isn't just for set up leads, it destorys the standard spirtomb and most uxie, because a lot of times they like to sr/reflect/light screen and they all benefit the opponent too much to allow. I still like having donphan because even though nothing is weak to sr, losing 12.5% of a pokes hp every time it switches in is really bad. and stack that with a layer or two of spikes, i think I will keep the spinner.

Cool team, I love the use of Umbreon! She's so fantastic in the current metagame, yet so underrated. I see some weaknesses that could definitely be fixed. The main problems are physical Venusaur, physical or mixed Sceptile, RP Torterra, Blaziken, and stuff like Swellow. To sum it up, grass types are really problematic, as well as normal types and fires who can 2hko Milotic (Blaziken, Houndoom in certain circumstances). To ease up the grass weakness, I would replace Swords Dance on Venusaur for Synthesis. He's not going to be sweeping often with the huge amounts of fire types running around and outspeeding it, not to mention everything else that outspeeds it. The staying power you get with Synthesis is well worth the power you lose.

I want you to get rid of that CroKou. It doesn't help your team as much as another option would. I really hate that you have a) no normal resist and b) if Gallade manages a Swords Dance, you just lost the game. In my opinion, a Spiritomb would benefit you a lot more than CroKou. It gives you both things that you really need, as well as a secondary check to a ton of stuff. I think that this set will benefit you the most, though there are other sets, I feel this one has the most reliability and the status is invaluable. Adamant and 100 attack evs let it hit pack a nice punch for a wall, while 252/156 on the defenses plus pain split lets it take hits like a beast

Spiritomb | Leftovers | Adamant
252 Hp | 156 Def | 100 Atk
Pain Split | Will o Wisp | Shadow Sneak | Sucker Punch

I know how much CroKou helped vs stall, and losing him is a blow. That's why I think configuring Umbreon a little differently would help you out. When I use Umbreon, I prefer Moonlight and Curse over Wish and Protect. You do lose out on the PP and the team healing, but Curse can sweep so many teams because no one prepares for Curse Umbreon. Not to mention you can get up a Curse or two and just start hitting things like Raikou and Gallade very hard. The instant healing is really helpful since you rely on Umbreon to beat Raikou pretty heavily. When you slap it all together, it looks like this:

Umbreon | Leftovers | Careful
252 hp | 128 Def | 128 SpDef
Curse | Payback | Moonlight | Heal Bell

That's all I have to say, I hope my changes help!

Thank you Bad Ass, for the awesome rate. I have an open mind, so I will at least test your suggestions. Although I do like the power granted by SD, I will try Synthesis, although I don't really see how it helps against Blaziken and Swellow. I'm not really sure if I wanna switch Raikou with that particular Spirtomb, as that would leave me with only 1 special attack. I think maybe a special tomb would work better. I really like the Curse Umbreon, seeing as I myself have been swept by one, so I will test it. I don't really like Moonlight because I do face sort of a lot of Hail/SS teams, but I think over all it might be better. Thank you again, and I will share with you the fruits of my testing soon.

Something that I have notice somewhat recently. I have an apparent and abundant weakness to Hail stall teams. I have noticed that if I can get rid of Froslass the Saur can do a bunch of damage with SD powered Power Whips, so I am keeping Swords Dance on Saur.
