LC Slowpoke [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]
Slowpoke's typing and bulk allow it to act as a blanket check to many Pokemon, such as Onix and Staryu, as well as check Psychic- and Fire-types effectively. Moreover, Slowpoke sports a handful of great utility moves. These include Teleport, which synergizes well with Regenerator and allows a teammate to be brought in safely, and Slack Off, which gives it reliable healing, as well as Scald, Thunder Wave, and Fire Blast. However, Slowpoke is very slow, and its typing leaves it with weaknesses to STAB attacks from common presences such as Vullaby, Pawniard, Grookey, and Magnemite as well as common coverage from Pokemon Slowpoke tends to soft check throughout a match, such as Staryu's Thunderbolt, Timburr's and Mienfoo's Knock Off, and U-turn from a number of threats.

Moves
========

Scald threatens common switch-ins such as Pawniard, Vullaby, and Ferroseed with a burn. Future Sight is Slowpoke's main way of applying offensive pressure to foes, taking advantage of Slowpoke forcing Pokemon such as Foongus, Koffing, Mareanie, and Ponyta out and Psychic-resistant Pokemon in, which can be taken advantage of by teammates. Psychic is an alternative to Future Sight that allows it to hit foes directly. Teleport synergizes with Future Sight and Regenerator and can allow a threatening teammate to get on the field safely.

Set Details
========

Regenerator allows Slowpoke to repeatedly switch into the likes of Abra, Vulpix, and Ponyta and check them throughout the game. 116 HP EVs give Slowpoke 27 HP, which means it will recover 9 HP with Regenerator. Both defenses reach even numbers to get the most out of Eviolite's boosts. The maximized Special Defense patches up Slowpoke's low natural special bulk. The EVs dumped into Special Attack ensure it can 2HKO Foongus with Psychic or deal decent damage to most targets with Future Sight. A spread more focused on physical bulk of 116 HP / 236 Def / 116 SpA / 36 SpD can be used, which allows Slowpoke to check Mudbray and Onix better at the cost of compromising special bulk. Slowpoke's Eviolite is very important to maintain its bulk in order to check threats throughout the game.

Usage Tips
========

Slowpoke should be switched in against Pokemon it checks or soft checks when it is healthy. It should focus on finding room to launch Future Sight if running this attack and making good use of Teleport, taking advantage of forced switches to bring in threatening Pokemon safely. When its health is low, Slowpoke should be switched out to recover HP thanks to Regenerator. It can also use Slack Off when up against Pokemon it checks to keep itself healthy. Slowpoke should be wary of Knock Off, since it can reduce its effectiveness for the remainder of the game. As such, switching it in on Pokemon that oftentimes carry Knock Off such as Timburr and Mienfoo isn't a wise decision, even if Slowpoke resists their STAB moves and could otherwise freely switch in to be eligible for Regenerator. Scald should be used to threaten its usual switch-ins in Pawniard, Vullaby, and Ferroseed and when firing off a Future Sight isn't needed.

Team Options
========

As Slowpoke is very weak to Knock Off, Knock Off absorbers such as Mienfoo, Timburr, and Spritzee are great teammates. They like Slowpoke's ability to handle Psychic-, Fire-, and Poison-types and can handle the Dark-types Slowpoke tends to invite in. Fighting-types like Mienfoo and Timburr also provide Knock Off support and can handle the Steel-types that Slowpoke often invites in well. Mienfoo and Slowpoke form a fairly good Regenerator core due to their pivoting moves, whereas Timburr can provide hazard removal to a team. Poison-types such as Foongus and Koffing handle Grookey and can remove Toxic Spikes from the field, which Slowpoke greatly appreciates. In turn, Slowpoke can handle threatening Psychic- and Fire-types for them. Ponyta can also check Grookey for Slowpoke and likes Slowpoke soft checking Water-types. Pokemon such as Grookey, Magnemite, and Vullaby form a VoltTurn core with Slowpoke and can cover some of its weaknesses. Strong attackers such as Choice item Mienfoo and Vulpix like Teleport support and Future Sight preventing common checks from stomaching an attack. Lastly, trappers such as Diglett and Trapinch can remove troublesome foes for Slowpoke, such as Magnemite and Pawniard, and like Teleport support.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Thunder Wave can be used to cripple opposing Pokemon, which a slower teammate can take advantage of. Fire Blast threatens Ferroseed and Pawniard, and it eases prediction against teams carrying both Foongus and Pawniard. Zap Cannon super effectively hits the likes of Flying- and Water-types, but its inconsistent accuracy often makes it a poor choice.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Knock Off and U-turn**: Knock Off and U-turn are widespread moves that hit Slowpoke super effectively. Knock Off hinders Slowpoke in the long run and can be used quite easily on Slowpoke, since it is slow. Pokemon Slowpoke soft checks such as Mienfoo, Timburr, and Mareanie can pack Knock Off. U-turn makes gaining momentum against Slowpoke by forcing it out a breeze, which can prove detrimental to teams needing the momentum Slowpoke could offer.

**Dark-types**: Vullaby, Pawniard, and Scraggy are immune to Slowpoke's Psychic-type moves and can take advantage of it being on the field. Pawniard can freely set Stealth Rock, and Nasty Plot Vullaby and Scraggy can set up on Slowpoke. Furthermore, Dark-types tend to pack a dreaded STAB Knock Off, threatening Slowpoke with an OHKO, and Vullaby can pack U-turn. However, these Dark-types dislike Scald burns and Thunder Wave, and Pawniard must beware of Fire Blast.

**Grass-types**: Ferroseed can take the free turns Slowpoke gives it to stack entry hazards, remove items with Knock Off, or spread paralysis. Grookey threatens Slowpoke with Grassy Glide and Wood Hammer, and it can set a Swords Dance up upon forcing Slowpoke out, which makes it an even bigger threat. Foongus can 2HKO Slowpoke with Giga Drain, but it struggles against Slowpoke's Psychic. Slowpoke's Grass-type switch-ins must, however, be wary of the rare Fire Blast, and Grookey and Ferroseed also dislike Scald burns.

**Electric-types**: Magnemite can come in and use Volt Switch on Slowpoke very freely, although it dislikes being burned by Scald. It must also account for Fire Blast. Chinchou isn't bothered by these but dislikes switching in repeatedly, especially on Psychic-type moves.

[OVERVIEW]

Thanks to its typing and overall bulkiness, Slowpoke is one of the best checks to Psychic-types such as Abra and Ponyta-Galar and to Fire-types such as Vulpix and Ponyta, as it is even able to withstand their super-effective coverage in most cases. It is also able to soft-check the likes of Mudbray, Onix or Staryu. i feel u want to emphasize that it soft checks like EVERYTHING first (if there's no super effective coverage ofc). abra and the ponys arent huge right now so like. make sure u emphasize its a blanket check first.
Slowpoke's Ability Regenerator further helps it to come in repeatedly on these threats over the course of a match and gives it plenty of room to pivot effectively or to fire off a strong Future Sight to offensively pressure the opponent. Slowpoke also sports a handful of great utility moves such as the aforementioned Future Sight, the potentially burn-inducing Scald, Slack Off as a reliable healing option, even more so when coupled with Regenerator, Teleport which ensures the gain of momentum, Thunder Wave to cripple opposing Pokémon by halving their speed, or even Fire Blast to threaten common switchins such as Pawniard and Ferroseed.
u definitely need to talk abt teleport more mention how this allows it to be run on offense as a pivot by giving a free switchin ect. i would also make the regen + slack off thing its own dentence and just saying it isnt worn down easily during a match. However, Slowpoke is very slow. While it can be of use to pivot effectively, not really true since teleport is -6 prio so youre always going last regardless of speed most of the time it can be taken advantage of by faster threats which can set up on it such as Grookey or Scraggy. Moreover, Slowpoke's typing leaves it with a weakness to very common types of attacking moves. It is indeed weak to the Dark-, Grass-, Electric- and Bug-types, general analysis tip: dont include things in analysis that a person cant check themselves in the dex. so instead of saying this mon is weak to [all the types its weak to] say why this is important. u do this later which is good jsut this part is unnecessary which means strong presences such as Pawniard, Vullaby, Grookey, Ferroseed, or Magnemite will constantly threaten it. It is also weak to the two main forms of pivoting in Little Cup: Volt Switch and U-turn. Thus, opponents such as Magnemite, Mienfoo, Vullaby or Grookey id rather u talk abt mons it soft checks pivoting out rather than mons that already beat it easily. foo is a good example. can regain momentum quite easily on it by clicking U-turn with no downsides, which can prove detrimental in the course of a game. It is also weak to the widespread super-effective move Knock Off which can often cripple it beyond repair since it is very dependant on its Eviolite to fulfill its role. talk abt how these last two points make it a rlly bad fight check cause they just knock u and pivot which makes teambuilding w poke harder

Scald is Slowpoke's way of threatening its common switchins such as Pawniard, Vullaby or Ferroseed with a burn. It also threatens Fire-types such as Ponyta and Ground-types such as Onix or Mudbray.ppl already know this Future Sight is Slowpoke's main way of applying offensive pressure to opponents by forcing sturdy Steel- or Psychic-types or Dark-types psychic resists to absorb it, which can be taken advantage of by teammates. However, this attack can also be taken advantage of because of its waiting turns, and running it makes Slowpoke unable to directly damage Poison-types such as Foongus or Mareanie. Teleport can allow a threatening teammate to go to the field safely thanks to its negative priority. Psychic is an alternative to Future Sight that allows to hit Poison-types directly, at the cost of Future Sight's big utility.

Set Details
========

Regenerator is the chosen ability for Slowpoke as it allows it to repeatedly switch into the likes of Abra, Ponyta-Galar, Vulpix and Ponyta use some other examples as u already talk abt them in the overview and to check them throughout the game. It also overall allows it to stomach resisted or weak attacks quite easily to recover health and makes it less reliant in using Slack Off to stay healthy throughout the game. ppl know this also. if anything u would talk abt this in usage tips The given spread hits the 27 HP benchmark, which means Slowpoke will recover 9 HP upon switching out. Both defenses are optimized to match even numbers to get the most out of Eviolite boosts. The maximized Special Defence patches up Slowpoke's low natural special bulk, which allow it to stomach coverage moves such as Staryu's Thunderbolt better. The EVs dumped into Special Attack make it reach a stat of 12. This ensures to 2HKO Foongus with Psychic or to OHKO Eviolite-less Mareanie with Future Sight. A spread more focused on physical bulk of 116 HP / 236 Def / 116 SpA / 36 SpD can be used, which allows Slowpoke to check Mudbray and Onix better, at the cost of taking special super-effective coverage way less nicely. give examples of specific mons u lose to with this spread eg tbolt staryu Slowpoke's Eviolite is very important in order to check threats throughout the game, thus it is the chosen item.

Usage Tips
========

Slowpoke should be switched in against Pokémon it checks such as Vulpix, Ponyta, Abra or Ponyta-Galar. again switch up examples It should focus on finding room to launch Future Sight if running this attack and on making good use of Teleport taking advantage of forced switches to bring in threatening mons safely. Regenerator makes Slowpoke's job easier as it will recover HP each time it switches out. When its health is low, Slowpoke should be switched out to recover HP. It can also use Slack Off when up against Pokémon it checks to keep itself healthy. Slowpoke should be wary of Knock Off and should stay away from this hugely-crippling super effective move at all costs, since it can reduce its effectiveness beyond repair for the remainder of the game. As such, switching it in on Pokémon that oftentimes carry Knock Off such as Timburr or Mienfoo to try to recover Regenerator HP isn't a wise decision. Scald should be used whenever Slowpoke wants to threaten its usual switchins in Pawniard, Vullaby and Ferroseed and firing off a Future Sight isn't needed. It should be kept in mind that Scald's power is reduced by Vulpix's Sun, not making it a threatening attack against it. dont think this is too important seeing as how u beat the mon anyways plus scalds there for the burn chance

Team Options
========

Slowpoke can form a Regenerator-core with Mienfoo and Foongus. Mienfoo covers Slowpoke's Knock Off weakness as a Knock Off absorber and can switch in and threaten Ferroseed and Pawniard, common switchins to Slowpoke. Other Knock Off absorbers such as Timburr or Spritzee can be run as well. Though less effective in the long run, they tend to fare better against Scraggy. Slowpoke can pay back by being a Psychic-type switchin, as Spritzee doesn't like being chipped while trying to check Abra and the Fighting-types are threatened by Psychic-type moves. Foongus notably checks Grookey for Slowpoke, though it should be wary of Acrobatics variants. Koffing and Ponyta are solid options to cover Grookey too, and they can threaten Ferroseed with their Fire-type attacks. Koffing especially likes Slowpoke's ability to switch in on Psychic-types and its Future Sight bolstering its already astonishing breaking power. Ponyta likes Future Sight denying Mareanie a switchin and weakening other Water-types not named Slowpoke. Slowpoke is very weak to Toxic Spikes, because they hinder its longevity. As such Poison-types such as the aforementioned Foongus and Neutralizing Gas Koffing and Hazard-removal options such as Vullaby or Archen can be considered. Slowpoke can form a VoltTurn core with Mienfoo, Vullaby, Grookey, or Magnemite or Archen as they all cover weakness for each other and will be able to apply offensive pressure by wearing the opponent down over the course of a match. Choice-locked Mienfoo particularly likes Slowpoke's Future Sight and Teleport support, as it can place opponents on incomfortable positions by denying the switch in of a Poison-type Fighting-check such as Mareanie or Foongus into a powerful High Jump Kick mention that offensive fighters in general rlly like poke cause denies poisons and it brings out psychic resists. As such, bulky Vullabies are often sent in as failproof should this scenario occur. That is why Slowpoke must be paired with Vullaby-checks such as Pawniard, Onix or Archen, which can also set rocks. These can also set rocks up, which Slowpoke and its usual partners greatly appreciate. Lastly, a Ground-type trapper such as Diglett or Trapinch likes taking advantage of Slowpoke's Teleport to enter the field unharmed and trap Pawniard and weaken Ferroseed in Trapinch's case.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Slowpoke can run other move options on its main set, although it has to give up on one of its valuable moveslots in order to do so. Thunder Wave can be used to cripple opposing Pokémon by halving their speed, which a slower sweeper can abuse. Fire Blast threatens Ferroseed and Pawniard. It eases prediction against teams carrying both Foongus and Pawniard, and can also ease the Hail matchup by hitting Sandshrew-Alola. Calm Mind can be run with the more physically-defensive EV spread, but Slowpoke's low speed makes it difficult to set up. Slowpoke can use a Belly Drum set but it being too slow despite Webs support or not being able to take advantage of many Trick Room turns make this set pretty useless in most cases, all the more as Trick Room is a rare archetype in Little Cup.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Knock Off and U-turn**: Knock Off and U-turn are widespread moves that hit Slowpoke super effectively. Knock Off hinders Slowpoke in the long run and can be used quite easily on Slowpoke since it is slow. U-turn makes gaining momentum against Slowpoke by forcing it out a breeze, which can prove detrimental to teams needing the momentum Slowpoke could offer. Pokémon Slowpoke checks such as Abra can pack Knock Off too although it is very rare.

**Grass-types**: Ferroseed is the Pokémon that is the most close to being a Slowpoke counter, as Slowpoke can virtually not dent it, and Ferroseed can take the free turns Slowpoke gives it to stack Entry Hazards, to remove items thanks to Knock Off or to spread Paralysis. Grookey threatens Slowpoke with Grassy Glide, Knock Off and U-turn. Furthermore, it can try to set a Swords Dance up upon forcing it out which can make it an accountable threat. Foongus can 2HKO Slowpoke with Giga Drain, but it struggles against Slowpoke's Psychic STAB and doesn't really threaten Slowpoke with item removal. The Grass-type switchins must however be wary of the rare Fire Blast, and Grookey and Ferroseed also dislike Scald burns: the former for halving its Attack and the second for the extra chip they can provide.

**Dark-types**: Vullaby, Pawniard and Scraggy are immune to Slowpoke's Psychic-type moves and can abuse it being on the field. Pawniard can set Stealth Rock up with no real downsides, and Nasty Plot Vullaby and Scraggy can set up on Slowpoke. Furthermore, Dark-types tend to pack a dreaded STABbed Knock Off threatening Slowpoke with an OHKO, and Vullaby can pack U-turn. However, these Dark-types, with the exception of Nasty Plot Vullaby and the rare Shed Skin Scraggy dislike Scald burns. All of these but Shed Skin Scraggy also dislike the rare Thunder Wave Paralysis, and Pawniard must beware of the rare Fire Blast.

**Electric-types**: Magnemite can come in and use Volt Switch on Slowpoke very freely, although it dislikes Scald and especially its burn chance as a Berry Juice set. It must also account for Fire Blast. The rarer Chinchou isn't bothered by these but dislikes switching in repeatedly, even more on Psychic-type moves.

[OVERVIEW]
Slowpoke's typing and general bulk allow it to act as a blanket check to many Pokémon such as Mudbray, Onix or Staryu, as well as check Psychic- and Fire-types effectively. (Max Atk EQ has a good chance to 2HKO after SR, so not really a check. Put the part about Fire- and Psychic-types first, since its the main role of Poke) Slowpoke also sports a handful of great utility moves such as Future Sight, Scald, Thunder Wave to cripple opposing Pokémon, or even Fire Blast to threaten common switchins such as Pawniard and Ferroseed. Slack Off is reliable healing, and coupled with Regenerator, Slowpoke becomes hard to break through, which means it can find room to pivot or apply pressure with Future Sight fairly easily. Teleport ensures a nifty gain of momentum by pivoting into an offensive threat with little downisdes and couples well with Regenerator too. (Condense this part down. These sentences can be summarized in like 2 two sentences. For example, have a sentence discussing how Future Sight synergizes with Teleport and Regenerator and another sentence detailing its other options like Thunder Wave and Fire Blast.) However, Slowpoke is very slow. This can be taken advantage of by faster threats which can set up on it such as Grookey or Scraggy. Moreover, Slowpoke's typing leaves it with a weakness to very common types of attacking moves, which means strong presences such as Pawniard, Vullaby, Grookey, Ferroseed, or Magnemite will constantly threaten it. It is also weak to the two main forms of pivoting in Little Cup: Volt Switch and U-turn. Thus, opponents such as Magnemite, Mienfoo, Vullaby or Grookey can regain momentum quite easily on it by clicking U-turn with no downsides as they force it out. It is also weak to the widespread Knock Off which can cripple it beyond repair since it is very dependant on its Eviolite to fulfill its role. As such, even though it resists Figthing-type attacks, Slowpoke can't reliably softcheck Fighting-type Pokémon as they tend to pack Knock Off. Since these are fairly common, building with Slowpoke can be a bit hard. (Same with these sentences. Mention how its low Speed and typing leaves it vulnerable to the common attackers you mention and the prevalent Knock Off. Then, discuss how it is hard to fit on a team because of these traits and how Pokemon that it is suppose to check often carry coverage for it.)

Scald is Slowpoke's Water-type STAB and way of threatening its common switchins such as Pawniard, Vullaby or Ferroseed with a burn. Future Sight is Slowpoke's main way of applying offensive pressure to opponents foes by forcing Psychic-type resists in, which can be taken advantage of by teammates. (For this, you want to highlight how it forces Pokemon like Foongus, Koffing, and Ponyta out before you highlight how it forces Psychic-resistant foes in. The main draw of Future Sight is that you can force them out and then teleport out on the switch-ins.) However, this attack can also be taken advantage of because of its waiting turns, and running it makes Slowpoke unable to directly damage Poison-types such as Foongus or Mareanie. (The second sentence is kinda overly negative IMO.) Teleport synergizes with Future Sight and Regenerator and can allow a threatening teammate to go to the field safely thanks to its negative priority. Psychic is an alternative to Future Sight that allows to hit Poison-types directly, at the cost of Future Sight's big utility. (Move this sentence after the Future Sight sentence since they are slashed.)

Set Details
========

Regenerator is the chosen ability for Slowpoke as it allows it to repeatedly switch into the likes of Abra, Vulpix and Ponyta and to check them throughout the game. The given spread hits the 27 HP benchmark, which means Slowpoke will recover 9 HP upon switching out. Both defenses are optimized to match even numbers to get the most out of Eviolite boosts. The maximized Special Defence patches up Slowpoke's low natural special bulk, allowing it to stomach coverage moves such as Staryu's Thunderbolt better. (This isn't really true. It's invested to take special hits better in general.) The EVs dumped into Special Attack make it reach a stat of 12. This ensures to 2HKO Foongus with Psychic or to OHKO Eviolite-less Mareanie with Future Sight. A spread more focused on physical bulk of 116 HP / 236 Def / 116 SpA / 36 SpD can be used, which allows Slowpoke to check Mudbray and Onix better, at the cost of taking special super-effective coverage such as Staryu's Thunderbolt way less nicely. (Again, same thing. Just say at the cost of compromising special bulk.) Slowpoke's Eviolite is very important to maintain its bulk in order to check threats throughout the game, thus it is the chosen item.

Usage Tips
========

Slowpoke should be switched in against Pokémon it checks or softchecks when it is healthy. It should focus on finding room to launch Future Sight if running this attack and on making good use of Teleport taking advantage of forced switches to bring in threatening mons Pokemon safely. Regenerator makes Slowpoke's job easier as it will recover HP each time it switches out. When its health is low, Slowpoke should be switched out to recover HP. It can also use Slack Off when up against Pokémon it checks to keep itself healthy. (Condense this down.) Slowpoke should be wary of Knock Off and should stay away from this hugely-crippling super effective move at all costs, since it can reduce its effectiveness beyond repair for the remainder of the game. As such, switching it in on Pokémon that oftentimes carry Knock Off such as Timburr or Mienfoo despite resisting their STABs to try to recover Regenerator HP isn't a wise decision. Scald should be used whenever Slowpoke wants to threaten its usual switchins in Pawniard, Vullaby and Ferroseed and when firing off a Future Sight isn't needed.
- Some GP changes to cut down informal phrases and slangs
Team Options
========

Slowpoke can form a Regenerator-core with Mienfoo and Foongus. Mienfoo covers Slowpoke's Knock Off weakness serves as a Knock Off absorber and can switch in and threaten Ferroseed and Pawniard, common switchins to Slowpoke. Other Knock Off absorbers such as Timburr or Spritzee can be run as well. Though less effective in the long run, they tend to fare better against Scraggy. Slowpoke can pay back by switching into Psychic-type attacks for the Fighting-type Knock Off absorbers and by mitigating Spritzee inviting in opposing Fire-types. Foongus notably checks Grookey for Slowpoke, though it should be wary of Acrobatics variants. In turn, Slowpoke covering Psychic- and Fire-types is very appreciated by Foongus. Koffing and Ponyta are solid options to cover Grookey too, and they can threaten Ferroseed and Pawniard with their Fire-type attacks. Ponyta likes Future Sight denying Mareanie a switchin and weakening Onix and other Water-types not named opposing Slowpoke. Slowpoke is very weak to Toxic Spikes, because they hinder its longevity. As such Poison-types such as the aforementioned Foongus and Neutralizing Gas Koffing and Hazard-removal options such as Vullaby or Archen can be considered. Slowpoke can form a VoltTurn core with Mienfoo, Vullaby, Grookey or Magnemite as they all cover weakness for each other and will be able to apply offensive pressure by wearing the opponent down over the course of a match. Choice-locked Mienfoo particularly likes Slowpoke's Future Sight and Teleport support, as it can place opponents in uncomfortable positions by denying the switch in of a Poison-type Fighting-check such as Mareanie or Foongus into a powerful High Jump Kick. In the same vein, other offensive Fighting-types such as Timburr or Croagunk make good use of Future Sight support and Slowpoke covering their Psychic-type weakness. Bulky Vullabies are often sent in as failproof against Future Sight and a threatening Pokémon combined. That is why Slowpoke must be paired with Vullaby-checks such as Pawniard, Onix or Archen, which can also set rocks up. Lastly, Ground-type trappers such as Diglett or Trapinch like taking advantage of Slowpoke's Teleport to enter the field unharmed and trap Pawniard and weaken Ferroseed in Trapinch's case.
- This paragraph is very clunky and super hard to decipher. Plus, a lot of the information is out-of-order and you are jumping from point-to-point. The info is there, but we just need to reorder it. First, mention Knock Off absorbers like Mienfoo, Timburr, and Spritzee. They benefit from Slowpoke handling Psychic- and Fire-types and luring in Dark- and for fighters, Steel-types with Future Sight. In return, they absorb Knock Off and handle those foes, with Fighters also providing Knock Off supp, Mienfoo forming a Regen core, and Timburr providing removal. Secondly, highlight the Poison-types (Foongus and Koffing) that check Grookey, absorb T-spikes and Knock Off. Slowpoke handles the Psychic-types and in Foongus's case, Fire-types for them. Then, mention offensive threats like Grookey, Magnemite, and Onix that like Teleport support. Finally, mention the trappers that can remove troublesome foes.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Slowpoke can run other move options on its main set, although it has to give up on one of its valuable moveslots in order to do so. (Obvious) Thunder Wave can be used to cripple opposing Pokémon by halving their speed, which a slower teammate can abuse. (This sucks)
- Mention Zap Cannon and how it can be used against opposing Water- and Flying-types, but is super inconsistent

Checks and Counters
===================

(Give examples like Mienfoo, Timburr, and Mareanie)

**Grass-types**: Ferroseed is the Pokémon that is the closest to being a Slowpoke counter, as Slowpoke can virtually not dent it, and Ferroseed can take the free turns Slowpoke gives it to stack Entry Hazards, to remove items thanks to Knock Off or to spread Paralysis. Grookey threatens Slowpoke with Wood Hammer and Grassy Glide, Knock Off and U-turn. Furthermore, it can try to set a Swords Dance up upon forcing Slowpoke out which can make it an accountable threat. Foongus can 2HKO Slowpoke with Giga Drain, but it struggles against Slowpoke's Psychic. The Grass-type switchins must however be wary of the rare Fire Blast, and Grookey and Ferroseed also dislike Scald burns: the former for halving its Attack and the latter for the extra chip they can provide. (You don't need to explain those. Wood Hammer is more common than Knock and U-turn and should definitely be mentioned.)

All of these but Shed Skin Scraggy also dislike the rare Thunder Wave Paralysis, and Pawniard must beware of Fire Blast. - Move this point ahead of the Grass-types

**Electric-types**: Magnemite can come in and use Volt Switch on Slowpoke very freely, although it dislikes being burned by Scald and especially its burn chance as a Berry Juice set. It must also account for Fire Blast. Chinchou isn't bothered by these but dislikes switching in repeatedly, even more on Psychic-type moves.

[OVERVIEW]
Slowpoke's typing and general bulk allow it to act as a blanket check to many Pokémon such as Mudbray, (Again, its not really a Bray check) Onix or Staryu, as well as check Psychic- and Fire-types effectively. Moreover, Slowpoke sports a handful of great utility moves. Teleport synergises well with Regenerator and can allow a teammate to be brought in safely. Slowpoke also has access to other great moves such as reliable healing in Slack Off, as well as Scald, Thunder Wave, Fire Blast. However, Slowpoke is very slow, and its typing leaves it with weaknesses to common presences such as Vullaby, Pawniard, Grookey or Magnemite, as well as weaknesses to common coverage from Pokémon Slowpoke tends to softcheck throughout a match such as Staryu's Thunderbolt, Timburr and Mienfoo's Knock Off, and U-turn from a number of threats.

  • remove "allowing it to stomach special hits better"
  • mareanie is never staying in on Future Sight, so this part is unnecessary. You could talk about securing the 2HKO on Foongus with Psychic and generally favorable Future Sight damage on other targets.
grass-types
  • it makes no sense to say that Grookey is "an accountable threat". I'm assuming that's a french-ism (as a translation major jaja) and there's no worries for that, but a better phrase would be "an even bigger threat" considering the context.

Knock Off hinders Slowpoke in the long run and can be used quite easily on Slowpoke, since it is slow. Pokemon Slowpoke soft checks such as Mienfoo, Timburr, and Mareanie can pack Knock Off. U-turn makes gaining momentum against Slowpoke by forcing it out in a breeze, which can prove detrimental to teams needing the momentum Slowpoke could offer.

Grookey threatens Slowpoke with Grassy Glide and Wood Hammer, and it can set a Swords Dance up upon forcing Slowpoke out, (AC) (leftover from previous check) which makes it an even bigger threat.

Implemented, thank you very much. I have a question though.

U-turn makes gaining momentum against Slowpoke by forcing it out in a breeze
I meant "U-turn makes gaining momentum against Slowpoke by forcing it out very easy", should I still put the "in" you're suggesting, or should I rephrase the sentence?
