With access to complementary coverage moves and a Steel typing,Hisuian Goodra has found itself to be an exemplary specially defensive staple for Steel teams. Hisuian Goodra makes use of protect to scout Choice item foes such as Mamoswine and Sneasler while also providing passive recovery via Leftovers. Dragon Tail phazes setup sweepers such as Volcarona and Galarian Moltres and chips Steel-type threats like Heatran. Knock Off removes favored items from bulky switch-ins like Galarian Slowking and Porygon2. Ice Beam removes Ground-type switch-ins like Landorus and Garchomp, while Flamethrower can deal heavy damage to the likes of Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Skarmory. Alternatively, Hisuian Goodra can run Flamethrower alongside Earthquake to decimate the Steel-type matchup and pose a threat to Heatran. Toxic can status the likes of Tornadus-T and Iron Hands, putting them on a timer and allowing Hisuian Goodra to become a great annoyance. With the use of Sap Sipper, Hisuian Goodra can be a great check foes like Celesteela and Ferrothorn attempting to use Leech Seed. Gholdengo has a Fighting immunity, is one of Steel's best checks to entry hazard removal, and mixed Fighting-types like Kommo-o without a boost. Since Hisuian Goodra has a difficult time against Fighting-types, Skarmory and Corviknight are great partners, as they both are neutral to Fighting and immune to Ground, which assists versus the likes of Excadrill and Great Tusk, and provide hazard support along with hazard removal depending on which one you choose. Mega Scizor is a fierce wallbreaker that assists in checking foes likeMega Lopunny and Iron Valiant with a +2 Swords Dance. It's also a decent check to the Ogerpon formes too with moves like Superpower. Choice Scarf Iron Treads provides great speed control and deals with Hisuian Arcanine, Zeraora, and Clodsire for Hisuian Goodra. Iron Treads also provides an Electric immunity, which helps prevent Hisuian Goodra from getting worn down over time in the Electric matchup. Ferrothorn can set hazards, spread residual damage, sponge attacks, and provide an optimal switch-in to Mega Swampert and Ogerpon-W, which it can also threaten back with Power Whip.

Hisuian Goodra makes use of protect to scout versus foe's that run a Choice item along with passive recovery. [provide some threats utilizing choice items that hoodra is scouting via protect.] Dragon Tail phases setup sweepers such as Volcarona or Galarian Moltres, also providing chip to opposing Steel- threats like Heatran. Knock Off removes favored items from bulky switch-ins like Chansey or Porygon2. Ice Beam can be used to remove the likes of Ground- type switch ins like Landorus or Garchomp upon pivot, while Flamethrower can deal heavy Fire- damage to the likes of Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Skarmory! Alternatively, Hisuian Goodra can run Earthquake to deal heavy damage to the likes of Heatran as well, a great threat to Steel- teams. Toxic can also be used to provide status to the likes of Porygon2 and Iron Hands, putting them on a timer and allowing Hisuian Goodra to become a great annoyance. With the use of Sap Sipper, Hisuian Goodra can be a great check to the likes of Celesteela or Ferrothorn attempting to use Leech Seed. Since Hisuian Goodra has a difficult time against the likes of Fighting-types such as Iron Valiant, Urshifu-R, and even Mega Gallade, Skarmory is an excellent defensive switch-in that can take a hit or two and roost off the damage. [put both skarm and corvi here as they both provide fighting neutrality, dealing with x y and z while also a ground immunity which hisuian goodra appreciates. continue going as well how corvi provides hazard removal + pivoting whereas skarmory provides hazards and can become a fierce wincon with IronPress.] Mega Scizor, paired with Hisuian Goodra, can become an effective setup sweeper once the foe is weakened. [i want you to talk about how its a fierce wallbreaker, picking off Iron Valiant and Mega Lopunny at +2 with Bullet Punch.] Iron Treads is an excellent form of speed control that pairs well with being able to pivot into Hisuian Goodra into an oncoming Special Attack, being able to remove the likes of Clodsire or Toxapex. Ferrothorn can make use of setting up hazards or residual damage while also sponging Attacks. [Too generalize, what mons are we taking hits from? are we checking mons in return that Hisuian Goodra cant?] Gholdengo is a great switch in to mixed attacking Fighting- type threats such as Iron Valiant or Keldeo, providing an immunity to incoming Fighting-type moves while also being one of Steel's best checks to hazard removal.

Hisuian Goodra makes use of protect to scout versus foe's that run a Choice item such as Mamoswine and Excadrill (um, can it be different mons instead? Protecting vs Exca is nice but you open up to something like Lando swapping in to take initiative on the double) while also providing passive recovery via Leftovers. Dragon Tail phases setup sweepers such as Volcarona or Galarian Moltres, also providing chip to opposing Steel- threats like Heatran. Knock Off removes favored items from bulky switch-ins like Chansey (swap mons, you dont want to fight Chanse and they dont want either, since you just go ghol) or Porygon2. Ice Beam can be used to remove the likes of Ground- type switch ins like Landorus or Garchomp, while Flamethrower can deal heavy damage to the likes of Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Skarmory! Alternatively, Hisuian Goodra can run Earthquake to deal heavy damage to the likes of Heatran as well, a great threat to Steel- teams (highlight that flame is needed first, so Flame + Eq basically). Toxic can also be used to provide status to the likes of Porygon2 (you used the pory card already, can you use something else instead?) and Iron Hands, putting them on a timer and allowing Hisuian Goodra to become a great annoyance. With the use of Sap Sipper, Hisuian Goodra can be a great check to the likes of Celesteela or Ferrothorn attempting to use Leech Seed. Since Hisuian Goodra has a difficult time against the likes of Fighting-types, Skarmory and Corviknight are great to pair alongside as they both provide a Fighting neutrality and deal with foes such as Urshifu-R (you couldnt have picked a worse mon for this, considering Shifu decimates these, can you use exca or someone else instead?) and even Mega Gallade. Corviknight provides hazard removal with Defog and excellent pivot whereas Skarmory provides hazards and can also become a fierce wincon with the likes of Iron Defense and Body Press. Furthermore, they also provide a Ground immunity for Hisuian Goodra, being able to swap in against pesky Excadrill (you dont need 3 sentences for these 2 mons, can you cut a sentence and merge them?). Mega Scizor, paired with Hisuian Goodra, can become a fierce wallbreaker (its a fierce wallbreaker with or without it, you can just go straight to the point and tell it removes those stuff. Maybe mention how its an ok thing to use vs Pons too, as superpower scary); Removing the likes of Mega Lopunny and Iron Valiant at +2 with Bullet Punch. Choice Scarf Iron Treads provides great speed control while also dealing with Hisuian Arcanine, Zeraora, and Clodsire for Hisuian Goodra. (Put this first imo; if you want you can pair SD M.Sciz and NP ghol together to offset the passiveness of H.Goo)
