ORAS UU Slurpuff the destroyer

So normally I play around in ubers and in ou. So I decided to delve into the world of UU and discorved that there are some nice pokemon that reside within this tier. So naturally, I created a team that I think kicks @$$ most of the time and wanted to see what you all thought about it.

Slurpuff @ Sitrus Berry
Unburden
Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Play Rough
- Drain Punch
- Toxic
- Belly Drum

I came across a set similar to this battling a friend of mine, and this thing sweeped most of my teams. It doesn't have a great physical movepool but thats not that important. Toxic allows Slurpuff to weaken most enemies that he cant OHKO. And Drain punch provides powerful recovery.

Honchkrow @ Life Orb
Moxie
Adamant
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Brave Bird
- Sucker Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit

Honchkrow is extremely bulky and makes for a great physical sweeper. Brave bird OHKOs most mons if not 2HKO. Sucker punch allows its crappy speed to be of little concern. Superpower takes care of other darks, steels, and normal types. and pursuit guarantees hits on psychic types that try to turn tail and run.

Haxorus @ Lum Berry
Mold Breaker
Adamant
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
- Dragon Dance

Here we have bladed dragon of death, with decent speed and great offence, as long as it moves first, it is deadly. Outrages confusion is nulified by the lum berry, so it is important to be careful where you use it. Earthquake is a great coverage move. Poison jab takes care of those slower pesky fairies (he would stand no chance against my slufpuff of course). And D dance to make him even more B/A

Empoleon @ Shuca Berry
Torrent
Modest
212 HP / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
- Scald
- Flash Cannon
- Grass Knot
- Defog

Empoleon makes a good defoger because of his decent bulk. Grass knot provides great coverage for heavier ground and rock threats. Flash cannon for stab and scald for potential status condition... and stab of course.

Pyroar @ Life Orb
Unnerve
Timid
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Fire Blast
- Hyper Voice
- H/P Grass
- will o wisp

I know what your thinking, why an NU? Because hes actually pretty decent thats why. With the timid nature to bring up his speed, he can out speed many contenders in the UU. H/P grass provides coverage against water types. Wil o Wisp grants those who oppose pyroar a burn, making his physical bulk even better. Fire Blast is his most powerfull stab move, but to make up for its lack of accuracy, neutral coverage with hyper voice can be used as well

Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Mold Breaker
Modest
132 HP / 252 SpA / 124 Spe
- Thunder bolt
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch

I find Ampharos' lack of speed...disturbing, but its bulk makes up for it. But because he lacks good speed its important that he has good accuracy, making thunder bolt the choice over thunder. Focus blast makes for the best coverage move, unfortunately, it bad accuracy COULD spell doom for ampharos.

Hey there! This is a pretty cool offensive team. Here are a few adjustments you can make to improve it.

  • You don't have much of an answer to fighting types, other than Slurpuff which wouldn't want to be taking any damage prior to setting up anyways. So I think something that could really help out your team would be replacing DD Haxorus with DD + Intimidate Salamence. Salamence offers you a pretty decent resist to fighting type attacks, and it has some pretty considerable bulk from the physical side when factoring in Intimidate. Salamence also has a better speed tier than Haxorus does, making it a lot more effective as it can outspeed Scarfed Hydreigon for example after a DD, which Haxorus cannot. You would also gain a pretty decent fire resist, something that you lack right now, and with Lum Berry, Salamence can check Entei in a pinch. Here's the set:

Salamence @ Lum Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Iron Tail
- Dragon Dance

  • Pyroar is heavily outclassed by the fire types that we have in UU. I suggest replacing Pyroar with NP Infernape. Not only is it faster, but it can set up and deal massive damage, help with bulky waters to a much better extent (hp grass on Pyroar just doesn't cut it), and has access to priority to help with some major threats such as Mega Sharpedo. You'll find Infernape to be much better than Pyroar in almost every aspect, aside from being able to burn the target with Will-O-Wisp. Here's the set:

infernape.gif

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot
- Nasty Plot
- Vacuum Wave

  • Every team needs a Stealth Rock user, which this team seems to lack. I would replace Grass Knot with Stealth Rock on Empoleon. You would have Grass Knot on Infernape, so it wouldn't be too much of a loss. Also, one of the best qualities about Shuca Empoleon is that it's able to check dragons, so you would most definitely want to replace Flash Cannon with Ice Beam.

Empoleon @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 212 HP / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock
- Defog

I hope you consider my suggestions, and good luck with the team!

Thank you for the suggestions, I like them, I'll let you know how it works out once I make the adjustments.
