Welcome to the semifinals of the SM 1v1 Cup!​

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • 1v1 Classic rules can be read here.
  • Gen 7 1v1. Bring 3 Pokemon, pick 1.
  • Battles must take place on main server or smogtours under the format [Gen 7] 1v1.
  • Best of five, single elimination.
  • Replays are now required.
  • If you don't get your match done, I will give the activity win to someone or coinflip it. If both users are constantly making contact but can't set up a specific time, I will give an extension for 3 days. Do not rely on this because I might just flip your game if minimal effort was put in.
  • Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.

toadandhishaxx  vs  ggopw - Toad already won the mental battle through tilting ggopw off the face of the Earth by not talking to him anymore, I also think he will surprisingly take the real battles, too. You have to favor ggopw in SM vs just about anyone, but toad is also very good in this generation, showing this off with some outstanding cup runs and good plays recently even after coming back from his hiatus of being banned/locked. This series can really go either way and it is roughly even, but I think the decider will be toadandhishaxx, especially when facing ggopw, who could get thrown off by toad's stunning looks as we saw from #in-remembrance-of-toader. While it is probably a bit easier to argue ggopw as the conventional favorite here given his dominant skill in the tier, I think toad will take it in 5 games. Great series regardless and I'm hoping for some cool teams and close games.
