Gen 7 SM OU Experiment (Sand + Electric Terrain)

Hey guys! I need an input for this team.

It's an offensive sand team that revolves around using taou koko and hawlucha.

The idea is that skarmory leads the match to set up hazards and then letting greninja, hawlucha and Mega ttar sweep the team with set up. Toxapex is used to take hits from various common attackers and uses infestation to trap mons.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird

Skarmory leading with stealth rock allows teammates like Koko and Mega ttar to switch in safely, and it acts as a physical wall to pressure residual damage. With brave bird, it allows for coverage and prevents it from getting destroyed by taunt.

Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 36 HP / 220 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Ice Punch

Mega Ttar is likely what you'd expect from a typical mega ttar set, mainly being offensive with max speed and using stab crunch and coverage moves of ice punch and earthquake to deal with gliscor, lando-t, mega latias, tapu lele and magearna. The 36 evs on hp are meant to tank some hits from bulky mega scizor and lando-t.

Greninja-Ash (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Water Shuriken
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse

Greninja with battle bond is able use specs stab hydro pump and dark pulse to pressure more bulky structures. Water shuriken allows Greninja to check most common attackers like kartana and other priority users. Ice beam is meant to ensure a safer answer to ice weak mons, mainly tapu bulu on the switch, since skarm already has spikes.

Tapu Koko @ Electrium Z
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Wild Charge
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn
- Nature's Madness

Tapu Koko having a physical set with electrium is used to surprise "would-be" checks like chansey, magearna and clefable with strong neutral damage. Nature's madness is used to check ferro, lando-t and gliscor, and other mons to put them in ko range of koko's other moves.

Hawlucha @ Electric Seed
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Acrobatics

Hawlucha is the terrain abuser of the team, which uses sub to block certain attacks from various common attackers like tapu koko, priority users, ferrothorn, serpeior, gliscor and flynium lando-t. It also allows hawlucha to scout and pivot into another teammate.

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Baneful Bunker
- Recover
- Infestation

Toxapex is used for absorbing hits and switching out in order to heal. It uses infestation to trap mons and scald to burn them as well, letting pex be really annoying on most teams. Combine these with recover, and pex can provide stalling capabilities to the team. Baneful bunker is used as a backup to status the opponent and stall any attacks.

Tell me what you guys think.

hello, sorry for the late answer. I will rate your team.
I think it has some good ideas like koko with hawlucha, ddttar with hazard stacking or toxapex and skarm synergy. But it makes for a colorful mix that does not blend that well into a cohesive six, you will struggle into most defensive structures while you can't compete in a longevity contest. Also one of the main rule in smou to make a good team (with some exceptions) is to have an electric immunity (either with a ground type or a pokemon with an ability like volt absorb) to bloc volt switch users like rotom wash or opposing tapu koko that could just decimate your team. Here you have clearly two directions in mind that clash together in the team. A very offensive one with tapu koko, hawlucha and ddttar and a more balanced one with ttar, pex, skarm and ash gren. So I will present you what I would change for the two mentionned playstyles while keeping some of your ideas.

Offensive playstyle:
:skarmory:--->:landorus-therian:
landorus is much more consistent as an hazard setter and adds a lot of utility with intimidate and a ground typing. To make it simpler and respect your idea of skarmory lead, I would go for a suicide lead, but you could go for a more defensive one with yache berry or rocky helmet:
:sm/landorus-therian:
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Explosion

I would change koko for a more support oriented set, here I chose some mono screen with nature madness. You can go double screen as well, or even iapapa berry with taunt if you want. I just think a full offensive one is not worth it here:
:sm/tapu-koko:
Tapu Koko @ Light Clay
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 44 HP / 212 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Reflect
- Thunderbolt
- U-turn
- Nature's Madness

your hawlucha's spread was really weird, I like that you are faster than other luchas but here you should capitalize on power, so I will just give you a standard spread:
:sm/hawlucha:
Hawlucha @ Electric Seed
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 36 SpD / 124 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Swords Dance
- High Jump Kick
- Substitute/Roost/Taunt/Stone Edge

for Tyranitar I will keep your spread but with reflect up the scizor calc is completly turned upside down so maybe full attack full speed is good enough. I generally prefer Fire Punch for the coverage :
:sm/tyranitar-mega:
Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 36 HP / 220 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch

then I would remove ash greninja and toxapex and replace them with a Z Magearna and a Serperior that is usually good to support offense.
:sm/magearna:
Magearna @ Fairium Z
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 248 HP / 28 Def / 172 SpA / 16 SpD / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fleur Cannon
- Thunderbolt
- Calm Mind
- Focus Blast

:sm/serperior:
Serperior @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 208 HP / 48 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Taunt
- Glare
- Defog

With some simple modification you end up with a basic but effective enough hyper offense. By choosing to commit fully to an offensive playstyle with what you laid out already, you improve a lot more your breaking capabilities and the potential of the team.
:sm/landorus-therian::sm/tapu-koko::sm/hawlucha::sm/tyranitar-mega::sm/magearna::sm/serperior:

I will do the balanced one later
