Okay now hear me out. What if we had our pet be these dinosaurs.

It's perfect. Discovered by the esteemed Albatross, these dinosaurs are the perfect way for us to show that we have culture and grace. If someone brought one of these into a party, everyone would want to talk to that person! All we have to do is go back in time and collect one, which shouldn't be too hard.
