I started with Landorus and Keldeo; these two are pretty much the same counter so i introduced Tyranitar to pursuit them and to annoy opponet's weather, than I wanted something that gave me momentum and resistance to rain and outragespam here comes Rotom-W and Scizor
They were missing the SR, fundamental for the team so i put Terrakion: good lead thanks to Taunt and basic power is also a strong fightr.

Terrakion @ Focus Sash
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

The Stealth Rock in this metagame are the key because they punish any opponent switch, why are fundamental in putting the opponent team in continuos switch. I needed something that put sr to 100% of cases, and here there is Terrakion, who also has the role as anti-lead for its extraordinary speed and Taunt to block all other setters.
Another thing is its powerness.

248.gif

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 180 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch

OU since its appearance, Tyranitar is still in great form despite Politoed, with a utility indirectly renewed by Keldeo, which has no more problems by Celebi and Latias, countered and trap-killed by Tyranitar; set cb for his stongest power, usefull also to scrub the weather opponents because its pursuit acquires an extraordinary power!
As well as act as a trap-killer, here it is essential to summon the Sandstorm, especially useful in damage Dragonite if the placement of Stealth Rock was not successful.

645.gif

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Landorus is the new BW2 surprise, in fact, with its great coverage coupled with his SAtk boosted by Life Orb and skills makes it a perfect sweeper!
I preferred the set Subber to do damage remaining repaired then it give way to Keldeo as Cleaner.

479-wash.png

Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 208 SDef / 48 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split

Directly from BW1, Rotom-W is also overused in bw2 with its beautiful typing and the ability to lie to RainTeam united to VoltSwitch makes a perfect job with good Damage and also to get momentum!
Will-O-Wisp favorite on Thunder Wave to make the life of Ferrothorn shorter than usual while Pain Split preferred to a set ChestoRester because in a SandTeam is not the best choice.

647-resolution.png

Keldeo-R @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
Ivs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Surf
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Ice]

The pony with Landorus do a perfect job of cleaning really necessary to close the battle.
Thanks to its STAB uses opponent's rain in case our sand has been lost, while the other STAB is useful if we wish to predict or to escape Blissey and Ferrothorn, in short, a beauty!
0 Atk / 30 Def to not always loose the speed tie with other Terrakion or Keldeo in order then to take the IVS of the SPD at 31!

212.gif

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- U-turn
- Superpower

Scizor in BW2 (as in BW1) is the protagonist of the metagame thanks to the useful Priority and STAB Bug that it brings an advantage to the team with RotomW that generate a fantastic VolTurn Chain!

Hey,

Nice team! There are some things I think that could be modified, for example on Rotom-W would Thunder Wave> Will-o-Wisp, in ways that will help the team in different ways, while using Thunder Wave paralyzes opponents Pokemon which helps a lot in his Landorus strategy of using the Substitute, in the sense that if you can use Substitute and the opponent is paralyzed is already good to attack being covered by Substitute. Furthermore Thunder Wave also helps against Scarf Keldeo, which is often found in Rain team that run in the current metagame, thanks to the Thunder wave blocks because practically loses its high speed that is the one that helps him to put pressure, once used Thunder Wave can use Volt Switch or Pain Split to recover HP depending on the situation. Also for Rotom-W suggest Calm> Timid, to get more special defense, what a lot of useful, the only resistor Water team.

Another thing, I suggest you put 100 evs in SPD to Tyranitar, going to make this spread evs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 Spd, 100 evs in the SPD are used to outrun Skarmory and get 2 Okho with support Stealth Rock.
One last smallness but still important, is to change evs Scizor, put it like this: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd with 248 evs in HP instead of 252 take less damage from Stealth Rock when you enter the field.

Good luck!

Hey man, nice team.

It's always nice to see a sand team, it's really refreshing to see something other than the bog-standard rain teams, so huge props to you for being creative. I really like the synergy this team, as you use an underrated threat in Focus Sash Terrakion and Sub + 3 Attacks Landorus. However, there are some flaws that I see in this team, and hopefully my rate will help improve those flaws and improve this team. With that said, let's get to the rate! Alright, first up, I would recommend running a spread of 248 HP / 28 SpA / 232 SpD and a Calm Nature on Rotom-W over your current EV spread and Nature. The HP, Special Defense EV's and Calm Nature are for the obvious bulk it needs and the 28 Special Attack EV's are for OHKOing Max HP Gliscor who otherwise can Toxic-Stall this. Moving forward, I would like to suggest running Hidden Power Ghost over your current choice of Hidden Power Ice. With Hidden Power Ghost, Keldeo now has a way to hit Jellicent, which otherwise walls this set cold, and it also gives him a good way of hitting the Lati Twins and Reuniclus. Finally, I suggest using a spread of 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD on your Scizor in place of your current EV spread. This EV spread allows for maximum bulk while giving it an extra oppertunity to switch-in to Stealth Rock. Well, that's all I have to say for now. I hope my advice helped. Have fun and good luck in your future endeavours!

~Dr Ciel~ (The doctor is OUT)

Hey there,

So this team is pretty much the embodiment of standard sand offense at the moment, but has a pretty large weakness to Offensive Grass-Types. These threats being Virizion and Breloom. You really only have one check to SD Breloom, Landorus, as Scizor can be worn down and if the opponent plays smartly with Spore/predicts not even Landorus will be enough. Virizion is in a similar boat, but your check is Scizor, who can very easily be worn down due to your lack of spinner and relying on it for momentum. Now there aren't many ways to fix this weakness without changing a large portion of your team, but I do have an idea. I think the best way to fix your weaknesses without changing too many team members would be to run Latias > Rotom-W. With a standard LO Offensive Set, Latias can give you another check to both Breloom and Virizion, while still giving you a very solid Rain Check. On another note, I would disagree with Dr Ciel's changes on Scarf Keldeo, as HP Ice is extremely useful for dealing with Dragon-Types (especially since Scizor is in no way a guaranteed kill on DD Dragons), and you have a Choice Banded Tyranitar to deal with Jellicents. Anyways, cool team and gl.

This is a pretty solid team, and it's pretty easy to see why considering it's basically the standard for sand offense in this metagame. Most of the changes I'd suggest pertain to your EV spreads and natures, but even though they're minor, I think they do go a long way. For one, I'd creep a lot more with your Choice Band Tyranitar. A lot of Skarmory run 32 Speed EVs, so I'd go with a spread of 152 HP / 252 Atk / 104 Spe on Tyranitar. This lets you 2HKO any Skarmory that switch in with Stone Edge, which can be pretty helpful in that Scizor won't have as much of a hard time choosing between U-turn and Bullet Punch, especially considering you have no spinner.

With Substitute Landorus, you're really losing out on a definitive endgame sweeper. In my opinion, Keldeo is far easier to wall than Landorus, and if your Tyranitar ends up getting burnt by a stray Scald or something, Jellicent will live for far longer than you want it to, which is really frustrating for the Keldeo sweep you want to achieve. I'd just go with a standard Rock Polish Landorus so that you have two ways to end games, and if one of your sweepers is hard-walled by something, you can always turn to the other for help. If you do choose to use my suggestion, also use a Modest nature on Landorus, as you're not missing any Speed at +2, and you'll be able to OHKO many more threats such as Keldeo.

You may be a bit hesitant to adopt the above change, as you stated that you wanted something to pave the way to a Keldeo sweep, but I think having two reliable endgame sweepers will accomplish more for this team. Besides, you have Tyranitar and Scizor to get rid of any Landorus / Keldeo counters, but if something goes wrong, you always have at least one sweeper to clean up the mess.

I'd consider moving at least 28 EVs out of Speed on Rotom-W and into Special Attack, as this allows Rotom-W to always OHKO standard Gliscor with Hydro Pump. I'd also move 4 HP EVs out of both Keldeo and Scizor and put them in Special Defense in order to give you better entry hazard numbers. Good luck, I hope I helped.

I agree with Harsha for the most part except:
  • Don't be afraid to speed creep even more than 104 Speed EVs on Tyranitar just for Jellicent. You're method of beating Jellicent atm seems to just be hoping your Tyranitar is faster which won't always be the case. Defensive Rotom-W doesn't really dent Jellicent enough with Volt Switch for it to be a reliable answer in the long run. Once a reasonably fast Jellicent switches in on your team it looks like it can be pretty annoying, so if you occasionally find yourself still getting outsped with 104 Spd EVs, theres next to no downside in overall bulk / power if you just move 16 HP or Atk EVs to Speed.
  • Rather than Substitute or Rock Polish on Landorus, definitely give U-Turn a try. A lot of smarter players are using Baton Pass Celebi now because it can evade Tyranitar / Scizor Pursuit and stick around to wall Keldeo and standard RP Landorus all day. With U-Turn, you have a good chance to KO standard Celebi after Stealth Rock (assuming a neutral Atk nature) and this often opens up the opposing team for a Keldeo or Landorus sweep, depending if the team is more offense or stall-based, respectively.
  • Try Quick Attack over Pursuit on Scizor. You already have CBTar who should probably be your main switch-in to Lati@s / Celebi anyway so Pursuit just seems to overlap here. Quick Attack gives you a few more options to check Volcarona who looks like it can be a bit annoying if you don't keep Terrakion healthy all game.
  • 2 Atk / 30 Def IVs on Keldeo gives you a 70bp Hidden Power [Ice] on Keldeo, which is much more important than reducing confusion damage.

Solid team otherwise, gl.

edit: also your Rotom-W spread is inefficient. Calm 252 HP / 120 SDef / 136 Spd gives you 6 extra points in SDef.

hey guys thanks for the rate i agree to your advice
so i ve changed the spread of scizor.
@mr. green: your argument is good and i keep in mind but is also true my large weakness to grass-type, in particular breloom so i ve decide to follow the advice of @drgagonuser and his LOtias>tom to cover me. i 'm thinking and rateing ttar with your new sperad!
@dr ciel thankx for your rate.. your advice on tom- w are correct and if i'll use tom again i'll keep in mind your and mr. green's information.
Regarding hp ghost>hp ice i agree with dragonuser so the power of cbttar on jelly(now as now teher are not many imo) and the utlity of an ice move against always present dragoons.
Anyway i appreciate your rate becouse it help me to have a multi and different vision of my team!!
