Thanks to its excellent typing, Smokomodo can easily take advantage of some of the more prominent Pokemon in CAP, such as Clefable, Rotom-H, and Mollux. Smokomodo is particularly strong against cores consisting of Clefable, Equilibra, and Toxapex, one of the single best defensive cores. On top of that, it can offensively check threatening wallbreakers such as Aegislash and Excadrill, which is all very useful. Morning Sun is very important for Smokomodo, allowing it to consistently take advantage of Pokemon like Clefable, Rotom-H, and Mollux throughout the game, though you do need to be wary of its very limited PP. Toxic is the preferred last move, as it allows Smokomodo to consistently check Rotom-H, while also crippling typical checks such as Tomohawk, Seismitoad, Hydreigon, and Hippowdon, which it can't really do anything else to otherwise. You should definitely be cautious of Toxic from Rotom-H, though, as Smokomodo is really easy to wear down once crippled by it. However, if the role compression is absolutely necessary, Stealth Rock can be run instead of Toxic, as Smokomodo's matchup against common entry hazard removers like Corviknight is quite decent, though it does struggle against some others like Tomohawk. Charcoal is the preferred item to reliably pressure Calm Mind Clefable, though it does lead to having Smokomodo worn down extremely quickly. You can consider running Leftovers instead, though the worse damage output against Calm Mind Clefable in particular is quite noticeable.

Smokomodo fits best onto bulky offensive and balance teams, where its ability to take advantage of Clefable, Rotom-H, and Mollux is highly valued. Smokomodo can easily cripple checks such as Tomohawk, Seismitoad, and Hippowdon with Toxic, so Pokemon that can apply additional pressure to those, like Aegislash, Excadrill, and Conkeldurr are great options as teammates. Ofcourse, it's also important to pack reliable checks to Pokemon that can check Smokomodo on top of that, Clefable, Ferrothorn, and Tomohawk can do the task. Clefable is particularly notable as it can alleviate most of Smokomodo's issues with longevity through Wish. Smokomodo is definitely a viable option on sun-based teams too, as it becomes an incredibly strong wallbreaker with sun up, capable of 2HKOing Pokemon like Tomohawk, while offering the archetype a great check to Rotom-H that isn't too passive, unlike Seismitoad.

Id like to see a specific mention of how Smokomodo heavily pressures Pex+Libra+Hawk cores, especially with toxic, as that is easily the most common build right now and one of the reasons Smokomodo is good imo.

When mentioning how it checks Rotom-H, I'd like to see a caution against letting Smokomodo get Toxic'd as that heavily cuts into its longevity.

Clefable is omnipresent but its still worth more heavily noting it as a good teammate due to Wish TP really supplementing its breaking oppurtunities + longevity issues.

Other than that, I don't have anything to add, really well done

I'd say Heavy-Duty Boots are worth mentionning alongside Leftovers, as Smoko doesn't like switching into rocks at all. Quziel uses it fwiw

You should definitely be cautious of Toxic against Rotom-H this sounds ambiguous about who's using Toxic, even though I know you mean Rotom-H using Toxic against Smoko, though, as Smokomodo is really easy to wear down once crippled by it. However, if the role compression is absolutely necessary, Stealth Rock can be run over Toxic, as Smokomodo's matchup against common entry hazard removers like Corviknight is quite decent, though it does struggle against some others like Tomohawk. You can consider running Leftovers instead, though the worse damage output against Calm Mind Clefable is quite noticeable.

Good changes here ForgottenOnes, just be careful to not make too many subjective changes when you are cutting down on fluff. I hope to see more from you!
