Introduction
Hey guys. Last time I posted a team here, I was still very new to competitive battling. I've been through a number of teams since then. Some good, some bad. Some I've made up on my own and some less than original ones. I've learned a lot playing with so many different teams and learned that I prefer bulkier offensive style teams. I've currently peaked at around 1400 with this team on an alt account. It's done pretty well for me but it has a few weaknesses that is preventing it from taking me much higher than has already. Thanks for the rates and enjoy!

I started with Mega Gyarados and Aegislash. These are two pretty common picks in the meta right now and for good reason. They compliment each other well and tear teams apart. Aegislash covers Gyarados' weakness to lightning and fighting pretty well while Gyarados covers Aegislash's weakness to fire and ground.

Next came my walls, Snorlax and Clefable. My friend jokingly told me to use Snorlax. I decided to do it anyway. I noticed a weakness to fighting types creeping up and wanted something extra to cover it in case Aegislash went down. So I decided on Clefable.

I needed some more move coverage. So I chose Landorus and Talonflame for their power and strong STAB attacks.

However, I realized Landorus' move pool with a lot of my other teams'. While I liked Talonflame, I noticed I had no way to get rid of hazards. So instead, I switched to scarfed Excadrill and Thundurus. This gave me a way to get rid of hazards and Thundurus gave me a way to deal with the bulky water types plaguing my team.
In-Depth

Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 88 HP / 192 Atk / 4 Def / 224 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
This guy is who I originally based the team on. One of my favorite megas and a real powerhouse. At first I had a pure physical sweeper EV spread, full invested in Atk and Spd. But, after seeing this EV spread and trying it out i found the extra bulk to be extremely beneficial. One Dragon Dance and this will OHKO most things in it's path. I'm toying with the idea of switching out Earthquake since my Snorlax has it and my Excadrill has a Mold Breaker EQ already.

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SAtk / 16 Spd
Quiet Nature
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Sacred Sword
- Iron Head
Aegislash, one of the most common Pokemon being used right now. There isn't a lot to be said about his move set since it's pretty standard. I opted for a bulkier eve spread rather than the typical 252 Atk 252 SAtk. With his immunity to fighting, it becomes a very important check to Pokemon with fighting moves that wreck my Snorlax and Gyarados (if mega evolved of course). The 16 Spd is to out-speed other uninvested Tyranitars. I'm thinking of switching Iron Head to Shadow Sneak since my Excadrill already has it and the extra priority would be beneficial..

Snorlax @ Assault Vest
Ability: Immunity
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Crunch
Despite being added as a joke for my friend, he's become one of my favorite pokemon to use on this team. His incredible natural SPdef only gets higher with Assault Vest. With EVs invested into Atk, Adamant nature, and his moveset, he can take a lot of Pokemon by surprise and OHKO or 2HKO them. He's my usual answer to pokemon like Ferrothorn who my team would normally struggle to take down. Unfortunately, because of this, he doesn't take physical hits very well. I've toyed with switching Immunity to Thick Fat. But I've found that, most times, Snorlax can take the hits well enough that the extra block won't make a big difference.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Heal Bell
- Moonblast
- Toxic
Since my Snorlax is rocking an Assault Vest, I needed something to pass wishes to help heal it. I didn't want to use Chansey or Blissey and further my weakness to fighting. So I decided on Clefable. Wish helps keep my bulky pokemon healthy. Heal Bell is nice to get rid of any crippling status moves. Moonblast is the stab move of choice here. It hits pretty decently, even without any investment into SAtk. However, damage isn't really the point of this set. Toxic was kind of a "why not" move I slapped on. However, I realize that I lack any sort of hazard setter so I've been thinking about switching it to Stealth Rock instead.

Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head
This team, for the longest time, was lacking a way to get rid of hazards so I switched from Talonflame to this thing. I use it as a revenge killer and it does it's job well. This deals with things like Talonflame, Bisharp, or Aegislash really well. Mold Breaker EQ takes down unsuspecting opposing Rotom Wash's pretty well (it's surprising how many people don't read what's going on and keep Rotom in). The EVs and moves I chose were pretty standard here and I'm really happy with where it's at right now.

Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Nasty Plot
What OU team would be complete without a Thundurus? Prankster Thunder Wave has honestly won me games where I let the opponent set up too hard. I opted for the more offensive Nasty Plot set. I had enough bulk on my team so I figured letting Thundurus go purely on the offensive couldn't hurt. Again, this set is pretty standard. The only unusual thing is HP Grass. The sole reason I chose this is to counter Quagsire. It seems like no matter what team I build, I never have something that can hit him super effectively. I know it's not the best option, and HP Ice tends to be more common, but I figure I have enough ice coverage with Snorlax and Gyarados.

Note: I should have lost this one, if he used anything other than Water Shuriken on his Greninja, his Conkeldurr's Mach Punch would have KO'd my Gyarados.
